I live in NYC for 32 years now. I haven't seen it in 70s. To me, where I come from, It was terrible when I came. In Guiliani time it improved then went down again! Today I'm scared of using subway like never before! Entire city stinks w smells of cigarettes & pot smokes. Yesterday I wanted to sit down in Union Sqare Park for a little while but the stench was coming out of almost everybody's mouths all over. No matter how many times I changed the locations rotating all inside the park, I couldn't get air to breath so I left. There is cute little dog run in there but ppl next to it are smoking sh*t which is a health hazard for animals. Their lungs are much smaller than ours, it kills them!
I love how all the crimes that happened are in Manhattan except for one in Queens. I mean Queens does have a crime problem since it's a liberal borough, but it's also the least liberal among the 4 liberal boroughs (Staten Island not included). Just avoid Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn and you're good.
Probably thousands of crimes a week that don't even get reported or even get recorded on the official crime stats all over the 5 boroughs Queens and Staten Island included..
