You need to get a spinnaker to really take advantage of the downwind sails.

The good thing is we have one, the bad thing is that we don’t know how to use it! The weather in the channel was so rough during our week with our instructor in Eastbourne that we couldn’t try it out! It’s definitely on the list of things to brush up on for this season though.

It's the Northumberland county flag. It was red and yellow when we set off but the summer sun has bleached the yellow white and the summer storms have torn the edges to shreds.
