GREAT VIDEO MAKES IT LOOK EASY, GOT ONE THAT I HAVE TO DO. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO REINSTALL AN 8 HP BRIGGS AND STRATTON ON A 8-25 TORO WHEELHORSE RIDING MOWER. JUST NEED THE WHERE ALL THE PULLEYS GO UNDERNEATH.
I really liked your video. I need help. I took off the 3 bolts, however, I can't for the life of me pull the pump off! It appears to be totally rusted on. What can I do? I am beyond frustrated and about to throw the damn thing away! Fyi, engine runs fine.
yeah, that happens. it gets frozen (rusted) onto the motor shaft. See if you can spray some PBblaster in there where at the top of the shaft and let it saturate for a day. Or try some gentle taps with a hammer. But if you're replacing the pump and going to trash the old one, then maybe you get wail on it with some more force. If you succeed and get it off, be sure to put some anti-sieze compound on the shaft before installing the new pump. Good luck.
Almost all pressure washer pumps come pre-filled with oil from the factory and never need maintenance, unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer / instructions. I have never added oil or attempted to change the oil in this pressure washer pump.
Just curious...could you have mounted the engine 180 degrees so the inlets were facing out the back like it used to? I would have to train myself to pull it around instead of pushing now. Can't teach an old dog new tricks. LOL Thanks for the video!
@@Buckwsr I was so encouraged by your video and was ready to order the new pump but then noticed I have a 3000 psi, 2.7 gal/min pressure washer. FIrst searches are coming up with pumps at least twice the price of the approx $100 pump you needed for yours. I will call Troy-Bilt to confirm but if that's the case I'm approaching new pressure washer pricing. Still a great instructional video. Thank you!
You can get your new pump here: amzn.to/2Rlu2P3
Great video! Love the bag on the gas tank trick, I'm not sure why that had never occurred to me but I'm certainly going to start using it now!
Cool. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi. Did the new pump come with gear oil? If not how much did you use? Thanks

Troy built pressure washing pump replacement
The directions say to put a light coat on the shaft of Anti-seize. Doesn't take much. Small tube less $5.
Thanks, John. Good info. We'll see if I have any problems next time I go to do this job....

I'm not sure about flipping the engine around....but I can tell you it was no big deal getting used to the new set-up. Still working just fine, too!
