My favorite detail is at 1:33 with Spencer T. Penguin "as portrayed" by Howard Mandell, as though Mr. Penguin is a timeless character that will have multiple interpretations from various actors
Vic must have added the laugh tracks on those scenes right lol??? Cause it’s from a movie so surely that wouldn’t have the laugh track. Such a subtle but hilarious touch
I love how these On Cinema tributes are supposed to be completely earnest in context and somehow the editor, Tim and Gregg are just oblivious to the surreal horror they really are.
Ikr, my favorite thing about on cinema is the way Tim and Greg are completely oblivious as to why people watch the show, either that or the in universe on cinema audience unironically watches it for the movie discussions
Something great about watching this live, not knowing if it'll ever end, how long it had been going for, and the chat tearing itself apart to get it to end
I think this was the best Oscar Special in several years. Felt like a return to form and also maybe the dumbest and darkest one yet (at least, it ended that way.) Five bags of popcorn, two sodas.
Tim in full pinocchio regalia, forced to confront his lies about what happened that night, desperately trying to rip off his nose in denial and then having a complete emotional breakdown was the darkest/funniest shit I have ever seen.
3:27 did they just record their own voiceover here lmfao??? There’s no way that’s from the original or an official dub. I’ve watched this thing like 500 times and keep finding all these little details, this is the most jarring piece of On Cinema history
He was in last years Oscar special (although not nearly as much as he was in this one and 2-6), the only ones he was absent from were the 7th and 8th (there was a short cellphone video of him during the 8th though) He's also been in the two newest seasons (12 and 13) and the deck of cards movie Was stoked to have him more involved again in the special this year, mark is my favorite
I think it’s true that the thinner an actor gets the less funny he is. Tim’s skinniness from Ozempic or whatever fast drug makes him look sickly and depressed. Bring back the old Tim
Why don’t you go roll around in the dirt with Rossetti the rat? T. Amato and G. Regg are bringing us a mix of expertise and reverence for the movies that is absolutely unmatched.
Always find this take weird as hell and can’t tell if it’s satire or if people genuinely just haven’t grown with the show over the last nearly 15 years and seriously miss Tim being larger
Also can’t tell if you’re the same guy commenting this all the time in which case makes it much funnier or if a bunch of different people genuinely feel that way
@@chucksneed2082the original was 12 minutes someone else said. This might be my favorite compilation in OC history it’s just so fucking horrifying I can’t stop watching it
My favorite detail is at 1:33 with Spencer T. Penguin "as portrayed" by Howard Mandell, as though Mr. Penguin is a timeless character that will have multiple interpretations from various actors
Are you somehow implying that he is not those things?
Vic must have added the laugh tracks on those scenes right lol??? Cause it’s from a movie so surely that wouldn’t have the laugh track. Such a subtle but hilarious touch
Watching Tom Hanks describe a life amid the school of hard knocks was the funniest part of this video.
The screaming that starts at 6:00 and lasts so long lmfao
I feel like that's a signature Vic Berger move
I love how these On Cinema tributes are supposed to be completely earnest in context and somehow the editor, Tim and Gregg are just oblivious to the surreal horror they really are.
I'm pretty sure Vic Berger made the montage!
@@EmblemParade Yeah that make sense. lol I mean like in universe

Retard
you can very clearly see them watching these montages and videos each time as well.
I'm not a puppet. I'm Pinocchio..
****GUNSHOT****
DO AS I SAY
4:25-4:35 one of the most disturbing sequences I’ve ever seen. Well done Vic. Kudos to the camera person panning to Mr. Amato looking on in confusion
I need therapy after watching that
5:40-6:04
The literal donkey punch at 4:50
Something about Shelly Duvall just saying Pinocchio brings me allot of joy for some fucking reason
She’s a beautiful angel. Something about Pauly Shore voicing animated Pinocchio makes me feel nothing really honestly
Something great about watching this live, not knowing if it'll ever end, how long it had been going for, and the chat tearing itself apart to get it to end
Man, Tim’s expression at 0:48 is just perfect. He has this character so nailed down.
I was crying with laughter. I don't know how they keep making these specials better but they do.
Peak was Jaws with the alien ending, for me. But the recent ones haven't been bad.
@@GrulaBola I love that they brought the alien music back during the last special.
Congratulations to Pinocchio celebrating his 100 years in cinema
🎶 Congratulations Pinocchio 🎵
Peace 🙏
What a great tribute to the great Pinocchio
Thank you to the great Shelley Duvall, American actress.
From?
Forgotten but not gone…
No Im pretty sure she's both

5:40 the deepening, unsettling crescendo being kicked off with this psychotic yaulp brought me to tears of laughter.
It scared my cat hahaha
Then the horrifying screaming at 6:00 that just lasts so long
I must go be with my boys. Goodbye.
A fitting tribute to a timeless classic. Directed by David Lynch
The fade to G Amado when Pinocchio is turning into a donkey is a subtle hint that he is a jackass.
Bravo, Vic!

That’s the Pauly Shore Pinocchio dub. It’s absolutely real
That could be Kenny Rodgers last image on film.....BRAVO!
I wonder if Kenny’s a greghead.
Thank you pinnocio
Pinocchio does it again
Vic Berger is a master at what he does. This was absolutely disgusting.
Here's to pinnochio a cherished icon of our childhood. a nicely fitting tribute from the on cinema gang
The greatest tribute to Pinocchio ever, I can’t stop rewatching it
really never realized there are so many pinocchio. he is in all of us!
This looks like something they'd force prisoners at Guantanamo Bay to watch continuously to get them to give up information.
School of Hard Knocks would be a good name for a movie, perhaps a comedie
comedi*
More like a 2000s screwball adult comedy or a 1990s family film
wow that was truly unsettling. great job!
Feels like a vic berger edit
It is.
It is, my boi
This feels like a creepy reading video almost at some points in time. Fantastic editing and audio choices🎉
Do as I say!........Do as I say!..............DO AS I SAY!
it's got that classic Vic taste we all have come to know and love.
Love how it cuts to the play of Peter Pan
Same actress.
this is so viscerally upsetting
When the cat shot pinocchio in the first clip I fucking died
What on Earth is Tom Hanks talking about lol
Tom Hanks, "as portrayed" by Jason Dill...
the school of hard knocks, man. keep up
That was the liquor speaking, not Tom Hanks
The COVID ate his bank blance
The school of Hard Knocks
When can I leave to be on my ✨ooooooown?✨
According to market efficiency theory, the man who played spencer T penguin deserves more money than those who work EMT and life saving work.
The world really is a stupid place, isnt it?
This is capitalism at it's finest! Only socialism will fix this.
That’s Howie Mendel, you monster!
For Dr. Steve Brule, this is nightmare fuel
4:25 I was half asleep watching this and THIS SCENE fucking woke me the fuck up instantly
rip shelly duvall
Five bags of soda
Thank you Pinocchio
school of hard knocks
THANK YOU PINOCCHIO!!
Tim said the original edit was around 12 minutes long.
When did he say that?
Holy shit I just realized this was only 7 minutes it felt like it would never end yet I was also strangely entranced in shock and horror

Pinocchio does it again!
Where is the full 10th annual on cinema oscar special?? I can only find clips 😢 I NEED IT ALLLLL!!
That was wonderful.
I just watched this special again. By the end, it's no longer comedy at all; it's deeply disturbing performance art.

When Pinocchio turns into a real boy, after the villagers be like "hey old man, Gipetto, where did you get that strange little boy from?"
Congrats Pinocchio!
A Vic Berger IV nightmare.....
I guess the meth lessage is uh...hmm meh the um hm.
Don’t watch this while under the influence of ketamine ☠️😵
This is deranged, unhinged.
Lmao the Peter Pan snippets
Is that a video Kenny Rogers played at his funeral?
Oh shit Mark is back, how long has that been?

god i hate tom hanks's folksy answer
It's such a perfect encapsulation of the self-satisfied actor interview answer. It's right up there with "it's kind of a cosmic gumbo"
