My friends and family are going to be so blessed this Christmas because of all the wonderful skin care recipes you are sharing. They're all drooling with anticipation :) You are my hero right now because you have saved Christmas! My husband and I decided that this year we were going all non-commercial gifts. All handmade. All personalized. You have made our mission and this journey a joy and a breeze. Thank you so much
I am so glad! Thank you so much for sharing your joy 😄 I'm so thrilled to have inspired you!
Another awesome beauty treatment for my bath thank you Marie!
Thanks, Rita!
Just made this! ❤ it’s my first time making one of your recipes. Everything is so expensive these days I figured this one is simple and easy for someone who loves milk baths. Can’t wait to try it!
Thanks!❤
Such a gorgeous bath experience!!! Oh my gosh, I made a double batch of this and keep it by my tub in a PET milk jug container. It is awesome. First time I ever doubled a batch of anything in a first go around. Glad I did! This is some wonderful stuff!
I'm so thrilled you are enjoying it! Thanks for DIYing with me, and happy making :)
Ohhhh marie your killin me here with the bath milks lol now i gotta make this 1 to!
I am enjoying this one so much-simple and oh so silky!
ty!
I make this but also add bath salts! It provides a lovely bath and so soothing for the skin.
I definitely do that, but I like to have the option to add salts-they also attract water, so I find the mixture is less likely to clump if I add the salts straight to the bath :)
Great idea
Thanks for watching!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Oooo Yummy wonderful thank Youuuuu!😍😍😍
Thanks so much!
Suuuuper thanks
Happy making 😊
Owsome
Thanks for watching!
Thanks !!!!
Please, this Formula is suitable for Kids/Babies? Can SLSA be replaced?
Could you add zinc if you have eczema. What would be a good percentage? And opt out of the foaming element?
Hello Marie ; can we use as a body scrub too ? by adding some exfoliants?
Can I put this into tea bags for a bath tea?
can i use something like a flavored tea bag ingredients to give it a scent? I have a white chocolate mint tea bags i love the smell of was wondering if i could take the ingredients out of the tea to add too the milk bath
Love this! Thanks for sharing! I purchased a bath milk with pumpkin before and it was lovely! Could I just add pumpkin powder to this?
That should be fine, as long as it's 100% dry and water soluble :)
Hey , can I add fragrance oil and at what % ?
Would you be able to use a liquid fragrance oil and Natrasorb to create another scent ?!?!
thank you for this recipe ☺ would SurfPro Surfactin be an okay substitute for the SLSa?
Can we use tis for 3 yr old
Can we add scents to this mixture?
Hi, Marie!! I'm curious - why cornstarch instead of baking soda?
#Humblebee & Me could you add Marshmellow fragrance to it and if so how much would you use for this recipe?
I’ve been looking for the container could you tell me where I can find them… please
Just made this...thank you Marie...I used SCI as that is what you suggested on your blog as a substitution. I was wondering, mine is kinda dampish and clumpy...should it be that way? I did whisk it for quite some time...Thank you for all your recipes and information. I have a new fun addiction that is good for me!!
It definitely is a soft powder, though I'm not sure I'd go as far as to call it damp. Is it very humid where you are? That could be contributing.
Yes, I live in Florida and that is what I was thinking it would be...very, very humid down here. Thank you for answering Marie...I so enjoy all your videos...thank you for sharing what you are learning!!
Superb product.. you give excellent information.
Thanx
couldt you tell us which preservatives can be used to preserve for long time....
This recipe doesn't need a preservative. Check her blog post, she explains why.
Thanks for watching, and yes, please read the blog post.
Please show recipes of bubble baths for babies Thanks
I'm afraid I have pretty much zero interest in creating baby-specific formulations, sorry. Not only do I have no babies around to test bubble baths on, I also don't think using a baby as a tester is a very good idea for that sort of thing-wee thing can't consent and all that.
What can I substitute the SLS for as I am allergic to sulphates especially SLS?
If you take a closer look/listen you'll see that I did not use SLS; SLSa is different. It is Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate and is not a sulfate. www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/ingredients/is-sodium-lauryl-sulfoacetate-a-sulfate-2
When do your milk bath expires
Could this be added to epsom salt and Himalayan salt? Just wondering if the SLSa or cornstarch could react with them once combined with water.
Yup!
Can I substitute baking soda instead of cornstarch? And could I add some Epsom salts? If I added Epsom salts would I have to increase the SLSA?
With all these swaps you'd be pretty solidly in re-development territory; try it and see! ❤️
Where is a good place to get the Coconut Milk Powder?
Coconut milk powder is one of those things you can get at the grocery store-check a local Asian supermarket for the best prices :)
Thank you for all your recipes and information :) what can you use instead of the (SLSA)?
Please read the associated blog :)
Hey Humblebee, I am trying to learn more about perservatives. Could you give me a website where I can learn more about them and which ones to use for soaps and lotions. I've been trying to look online but can't really find any useful information. Thank you!
makingskincare.com/preservatives/ :)
If I dont have SLS A can I use Sodium Cocoyl?
You could try it if it's very finely powdered :)
Hey I thought sulfates were bad cancer causing ingredients? Is there a substitute for the SLS. Also, where do you get yours?
Thankfully, sulphates are not "bad cancer causing ingredients", but also, there are no sulphates in this formulation :)
You can learn more about SLS here: www.theecowell.com/blog/sls
General ingredient safety here: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/_____________-ingredient-safe/
Please read the blog post for links to all the ingredients :)
Marie, is your coconut milk powder cosmetic grade? I can only find the food grade ones here, not sure if it's okay to use that :/
I'm pretty sure it's food grade even though I did get it from a DIY supplier-that's totally fine for this project :) Even if there was cosmetic grade coconut powder I'm not sure how it would differ-it would still be impossible to preserve in anything containing water.
Can I use sodium bicarbonate instead of slsa?
That usually wouldn't be a good swap, but in this particular formulation that'll work-the bath mild won't foam anymore, though :) Happy making!
Marie!! Do you have any Bath Bomb tutorial videos with recipe and action video?
Yes, several! Here's one: th-cam.com/video/n_K_gLTN16c/w-d-xo.html
What is Colloidal oats,?
Hey! You'll find the answers you're looking for in the Humblebee & Me Encyclopedia at www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia. Simply look up the ingredients in question to learn about why they are used in formulas, what they do, usage rates, and more. Happy making!
Can you add a frag? And do you shower after?
I don't recommend adding a fragrance as this mix is already fairly clump prone and adding more moisture will exacerbate that. I used this last night and didn't shower afterwards :)
Humblebee & Me thanks soooo much
Hey gorgeous lady
Have watched you for years. Just have a question. What can I substitute Colloidal Oats with.
And what exactly is Colloidal Oats.
And also can I use Goats Milk powder instead of Coconut Milk Powder.
💜💜
You'll find the answer to your question in the "Substitutions" section of the partner blog post. It's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.
You can learn more about colloidal oatmeal in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/).
Happy making!
Please put together kits for your subscribers to purchase. PLEASE 😁
Please figure out a way for me to clone myself? 😝I figure two or three extras would be sufficient. It would be nice if they had no requirements for food, sleep, or general leisure time as well 😜
Humblebee & Me Are you kidding. If I knew how to do that, this would literally be my personal 5th clone responding to you! 👭👭👭
Can magnesium be added to this?
maybe add Epsom salts, that has magnesium
@@carlenecadogan4353 yes, that's what I meant. Thank you!
