    Hi Anja & Aila!! So nice to see you ladies again and to hear your soothing voice and Aila's playfullness. Beautiful video. I love the pink and white checkered bathroom... so vintage! The Slo Hostel is so cute. My favorite is the DoubleTree Hotel because of the amazing rooftop bar/restaurant!! What a superb video. Suggestion for a video: The breakfast buffet at the DoubleTree.

    I’ve missed you two! Thanks for posting something new on my favorite town. We were last there in August where it was very hot and based on your recommendation took the narrow gauge rail to Entrevaux

    Thanks as always. I'm seeing on the news massive floods in St. Tropez, and in the past couple of weeks also saw news showing Cannes under water. What makes these towns prone, was it river flooding from heavy rain, and the water cascading down hills/mountains, or some other mechanism?

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You‘re exactly right: it’s called „Episode Méditerranéen“ when heavy rain goes down, usually in the fall. All the water rushes down from the mountains towards the sea, little streams become big rivers, and the sewage system can no longer cope… happens more frequently lately 😖

    Hello dear ladies! Lovely and quite informative video. I like to see what's new there regarding hotels. It's quite competitive industry and the choices were already more than enough. But still,it's good to see. The first two looks nice and cheerful. Honestly,200 per night in low season is needless in my opinion. I am not saying it's not nice or the features are not worthy, but in the low season 100 generally talking sounds widely acceptable in my opinion. Many options for even lower fee. Of course not talking about 5 stars. The hostel looks very well made and super clean and fresh,perhaps because it's still new. I ve never been in a hostel. Not my cup of tea. But I understand that it can be quite good solution for backpackers and young people. In the same time,there were several reports,that the locals are extremely tired of the huge number of tourists. And the mayor and the administration have a desire to reduce the number of tourists who do not have real means of travel to this destination by increasing prices of hotels and other type of accommodations. They want to attract more wealthy visitors and raise the bar,which will logically reduce the visitors with lower means. Many locals approved. But in the same time,as we can see that projects like super affordable places like hostels were given a green light and already in use. This subject is sensitive and might sound quite discriminating. But it's on the table. It's never easy to make everyone happy. And people on positions are generally looking for solutions. Many ideas and plans are contradictory as always. Not only there. Gounoud looks nice to me. Regarding locations,I think all the locations were very good. Especially with the excellent transportation there. Plus the pleasure of walking is always there. And the surrounding beauty is a fact. The rooftop looks great. The heated pool is also a very good feature. The spa,the cinema also...very convenient. All the places that you intruduced seems great options. Many people with different taste and values will be able to pick up the correct place for their stay. That's for sure. Thank you for the invested work and you are looking Lovely as always! ✨️👍🏻🤍

      Thanks a lot for your thoughts, very much appreciated as always! ☺Trying to manage and steer the tourism in a city like Nice must be challenging. Looking at the new hotel openings, the trend is definitely going towards a clientele that's at ease. But Nice and the French Riviera do still have offers for budget traveling. I remember my first time here right after finishing high school; we stayed at a campsite and managed to see all the great spots with hardly any money to spend. Well, that was a while ago 😅... but we think it's still possible to spend your vacation here in a modest and still fun way. And if money is not an issue, there definitely are some great options 😉!

      @@rivierago It's a pleasure. Definitely options for everyone,that's for sure. I am trying to open and have interesting conversations under your videos,exchange thoughts with other viewers. That would be nice. I am sure french are watching as well and even locals. They can express feelings and opinions from their side. Hopefully it will happen. We can even argue, why not? 😁 If it was a while ago,as you say,times were quite different than now most likely. I am sure you had a fantastic time and it's normal not to have a lot right after high school. You look really great, both of you. Just saying. Thanks again and looking forward to your next video with sunny smiles. Take care 🙃
