The show's been so far good with the story that they're given about the main character in every other character involved in the story so far I'm liking it.
Don't know anything about the game, only know the animated show & it's pretty good! Some strong character-drama & intense action, also it doesn't insult your intelligence with gobbledygook-storytelling & slapstick-comedy like the MSHEU does. The Invoker is probably one of the best animated characters I know, that guy's soul is dead, and very alive, at the same time, quite sad. This show kinda is like what I think D&D could be, or should be.
I really preferred Davion's elder dragon form than his human-dragon hybrid form, wished they just used that more since its more accurate from the game.
"Dota 2 has several heroes" That is putting it lightly, granted that is what makes this a good idea. 121 heroes with lore but none of the lore is all that deep allowing for a lot of freedom, many dots and many ways to connect them.
Yes once in a while Netflix will throw a bone to viewers that prefer male centric story. It's mainly on anime format. A word of caution it's not wise to admit that you prefer male centric stories over female centric stories. You could be labeled 'sexist' or 'misogynist' by certain group of people.

The way davion was talking all the dragons it's like how Naruto bonded with the nine tailed beast absorbing their power position for a great threat
The body horror seen in this show makes me wish Dragon’s Dogma could’ve taken the draconic aspect of the lore and emphasized/intensified it more.
