Those little piggies sure had alot of energy too. I agree with you totally, pigs are amazing animals, and I've grown to love them more since learning more about them. For many years, I kinda just viewed them as "another farm animal we get meat from". But in the past year after watching many TH-cam videos of them, reading many different things about them, I view pigs now as these great beings. I've learned how smart they are, how naturally happy, friendly, and affectionate they are once you don't make them afraid of you. I've learned how dreadfully pigs get treated on factory farms, how they're abused and even tortured sometimes, and that those pigs are only not affectionate because they've been made terrified of humans, it's horrible. And after seeing so many sanctuary videos, I clearly see pigs are very friendly and loyal, just like a dog, how they're playful, they'll flop onto their sides for belly scratches (which they really love) regularly, they'll kiss you with their snouts and rub the sides of their bodies against you out of affection, and how this is how pigs naturally are, and they only aren't when they've been made too frightened of people and are scared away from their true natural nature on those terrible factory farms, slaughterhouse trucks, and slaughterhouses. I've learned this because I've seen many factory farm and slaughterhouse videos, and I didn't previously know how cruelly pigs are treated. How can people be so horrible to such naturally happy, friendly, affectionate beings? I've seen many wonderful sanctuary videos, including Esther the wonder pig, "Julia, an incredible pig", several other videos of people who rescued pigs and brought them in as their own pets, people who rescued pigs and started their own sanctuaries, and videos of Joey Carbstrong visiting pigs in sanctuaries and bonding instantly with them (Joey's an animal saving vegan who's made numerous youtube videos). More people in the world need to realize how great pigs are. The piglets in this video are very playful with each other, you can see how the mother pig is staying near them just to make sure they're ok. That's another thing about pigs, mother pigs are very loving and protective mothers, I've seen numerous videos on that too
You can see that the mother pig is watching out for her piglets. It may for a second seem like she's not watching them being her head's pointing down a bit amd she's rooting in the dirt. But she's watching them too. Pigs often seek things more by smell than by sight. If the piglets got further away from her, and the minute she won't be able to smell them near her, she'll stop rooting and get very worried about where they went. Fortunately, those piglets likely won't run too far from her because they want to stay near her too as they play.
