13 year later and this song is still sad as f. While I don't view Ar Tonelico 3 as good as its former games, the hymnos remain clearly awesome. "The girl was very glad to have become a blessing for the boy" A tragic blessing indeed.
With context, I think this is the most beautiful Hymmnos in the entirety of Ar tonelico trilogy. The story in this song is sad and beautiful in isolation, but taken with context when and why it appeared in the game takes this to a whole new level.
If you buy into the EXA_PICO universe/lore and all the principles that govern it, it's exceedingly rare for generic β-type Reyvateils and Third Generations to craft Song Magic in real life, because of the immense emotion required to craft one, and hence why all Song Magics are either created by Diving or installed with Hymm Crystals.
AFAIK, across the trilogy, this is the one of the two Song Magics to be created in real life by a β-type Reyvateil or a Third Generation. Given the background and the storyline of Finnel, and all the emotions that flooded her in that moment this Hymmnos was sung, well, let's say I hadn't cried that hard in a long, long time.

It's so beautiful and calming, and heartbreakingly sweet. Ar Tonelico 3 seems convinced that it needs to pull people heartstrings out and play a violin requiem on them T_T Especially the music.

I use Windows Movie Maker and make individual pictures each time the lyrics change :) it's a slow process but it's all I know. The easiest thing I can suggest is taking the video then putting subtitles via TH-cam over the English ones, would save you making a video :D

@sunnyfinny It's because of the way Hymmnos works. Each letter is a word and also the noun of the sentence shows up in the next line, but in order to translate it into English, you would have to explain the whole thing first.

The song is beautiful. But the story kinda confuse me. Why does the boy feel sad about his lover ascending to heaven? Shouldn`t he be happy that he finally save her ? Plus, she bring rain to the land which save it.

Because the thought that you won't be able to see someone you care deeply about again in mortal life can be one of the most painful experiences someone has to face.
+La Rei what I took from the song was that love is a powerful feeling that when not taken advantage of or misused it is probably the greatest force of all!
One can imagine that their lover is suffering from a terminal illness that was very painful to them. Life support all the time, waking up only for a few minutes only to go back to sleep again.
