I could NOT NOT NOT believe they lost that 2011 Final to Japan...When luck is against you, no matter who you are, you will lose. It's that simple, but they got their huge revenge back in 2015 after waiting for 4 years and made Japan regret why they won in 2011...The rest is history.

@@paulchristopher8634 I mean I would bet the field over the US, because winning 3 straight World Cups and making it to 4 straight finals (the US made the 2011 final as well) is almost impossibly hard. But the US will be a top team forever on the women's side, and on the men's side will continue to get better as the sport becomes more popular in the US. The US men simply are coming from a century long disadvantage in the sport. The rest of the world should just be happy that football was not the top sport in the US from the beginning, otherwise the US would have won multiple World Cups by now

@@nmsoccer222 I think even now. Lavelle is clearly the best player. If only the coaching staff could come up with a scheme to put Sanchez and Lavelle together. Ashley would learn so much from Lavelle's methodical and precision approach, and Ashley's raw unpredictability would add another dimension to this team.
