All the poor fur bearing animals that were murdered so they could look this ridiculous. No empathy for animals and their suffering. For a people who were pers ecuted i had hoped there would have been more understanding for the plight of helpless animals. Theres no need to wear fur irrespective of what your beliefs are. Im very disappointed to see their complete lack of empathy and understanding for animals that are murdered (often skinned alive like they are in ch ina) when there are so many other cruelty free materials and fabrics available. I know I'm going to be told its a tradition, well so was slavery. Just because something is a tradition doesn't make it right. These hats are a blatant show of affluence as they cost 1000's but thats nothing compared to the cost of the suffering of the poor animals whose lives were taken from them to make these emblems of affluence and avarice. Shocking display of mans inhumanity to helpless voiceless animals. Any belief system which fails to recognise the most vulnerable it abjectly flawed.

Shemos 8:21-22 "Thereupon, Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron, and he said, 'Go, sacrifice to your God in the land.' But Moses said, 'It is improper to do that, for we will sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to God our Lord. Will we sacrifice the deity of the Egyptians before their eyes, and they will not stone us?'"
Rashi's explanation: the deity of the Egyptians, like “and for Milcom, the abomination of the children of Ammon” (II Kings 23:13), but for the Jews, [Scripture] calls it an abomination. It may also be explained in another manner: the abomination of the Egyptians - our slaughtering is a hateful thing to the Egyptians, for we are slaughtering their deity.
I don't like the modern style of shtreimel but at least they are not bowing down to the modern idolatry.

This is beautiful!!! Look at the Rebbes simcha, his love, his dancing, I am telling you, Tzaddikim never loose their strength, he has more power than any 18 year old jock, he's just beautiful!
May the Holy Tosher Rebbe see many more years of love, goodness, and being a light to the world!

I work in a satmar neighborhood, and I got friendly with a Hasid in one of the shuls I davened in. Around the time of the passing of this rebbe, he called me asking if I wanted to bid on some personal items they were auctioning off. It was something like 20 thousand dollars for one of his gartels. He must have been a great tzaddik to ask for such a price. I never knew much about him as I live in the ny/ nj area and he was in Canada I understand .

Well, I think he came here after suffering in WW2 and founded his own community, and he was always extremely dedicated to his craft and extremely caring and attentive to the Yashiva boys (it allowed down a little bit when he got old).
Unlike many other rebbes, he was a very friendly happy guy who used to smile at everyone and laugh at jokes as if he was just one of the guys, especially in his prime.
People praise him for his (dangerous) dedication to his religion. (I say dangerous because I think he didn't eat or sleep properly because he wanted to dedicate his entire life to God.)

I go see him once a year. I live 15 minutes away from the site, He lives in Montreal. My father in law goes to his house twice a month to give him a pedicure and take care of his feet. He once invited him to dip his mikveh. Supposedly he never allows anyone to his mikveh.

She has a supportive family and they're all as happy as can be too marry her off to someone they think will take care of her and be a mentch within the confines of their new home.
She didn't meet the guy in the bar and he didn't drag her along for 7 years through the mud, in and out of a relationship.
