This is my ABSOLUTE HANDS DOWN favourite Eurovision entry of all time and I normally vote for the likes of Måneskin, Hatari, Serhat and Subwoolfer. This song just hits me straight in the heart and I return to it each year.

A shame this didn't place higher. But it's always (well, at least during the last couple decades) more difficult for the more simple and beautiful songs to do well on ESC. Molitva is the only exception I can think of

Back in 2008 when I watched Euro Vision I was 10 years old, still didn't have a PC then. I swear I used to go every day for 1 week straight in internet cafes paying 50 cents for 30 minutes just so I can listen to this. This memory will never fade, this song will always have a special place in my life.
Never realised how beautiful Hebrew is , one of my favourites in 2008 , I love his voice and the song itself makes me nostalgic for some reason , everything about this is good

I watched this song in Eurovision 2008, in semi finals in my parents' room on TV because I didn't have a TV in my room then. I heard Israel's song and I was moved I felt it in my heart. I went to the living room with the rest of the family because the songs of the show had finished and at the same time the movie they were watching also finished so I talked to them and told them the about the show. I said them that I really liked Israel 's song. That moment in the show they started showing 30 seconds of every song that had been played. Then Israel's song starts playing and they listened it for 30 seconds. My father turned and taped me on the shoulder and saidmy. Well done son! It was really nice song. Since then, Once in two months I visit this song on TH-cam and listen to it and always feel the same emotion thank you very much Greetings to all from Greece. Be well and I wish you come often and listen this song. I love you all and I will be very happy if someone write a comment. ❤❤❤

FABULOUS song!! The singer has the voice of an angel. It was a very good performance, minimalist yet very heartfelt, I felt as if he was in a synagogue praying, it gave me goosebumps. It should have won.
