MILKING (AND A BIT OF SILAGE) SEASON PREPARATION

Using the short quiet frosty January days to get some machinery and equipment ready for the year ahead. The Tedder was left out after its last use and wasn’t washed down and it had to be addressed and it’s a great time of year to get the milking parlour hosed down and maintained and ready for the fast approaching calving season.

Great video. Your welding is like mine 😂 but I never heard a cow complain. Its grand when the cows are dry to get a few jobs done without pressure.

I actually have a FETAC cert in welding but it’s more for MIG welding. I bought a Mig welder for the workshop but didn’t use it yet. That bar was hard welded because it was galvanised. It will do the job rightly 😂

@@dronedairys7461 I never used a mig welder. Always the mini ark welder. I changed the 2 cables on it lately and made a huge difference. This hard frost is a pain for milking machine

I am fourth generation farmer as far as I know. We own 100 acres but with bits rented we are presently farming around 140 acres. I currently negotiating a long term lease on a farm.
