It has been so amazing watching the pieces of the Karasuno puzzle slowly come together! The idea of cogs, or gears, is absolutely perfect for this episode and everything the team has gone through throughout this training camp!
I couldn't help but smile as I watched this final match, and I am so excited to see what happens next episode!

Sarah Pavan is a Canadian beach volleyball Olympian and World Champion. She is the 3-time FIVB World Tour Best Blocker, and one half of 2019’s Most Outstanding Team. Before playing beach volleyball, Sarah Pavan was one of the world’s top indoor volleyball players. She had an impressive professional career in Italy, Brazil, South Korea, and China, and represented the Canadian Indoor National Team.
On this channel, Sarah shares everything you want to know about volleyball, from beginner skills all the way to the more advanced levels. Ugh I got so wrapped up watching the second half of the set that I didn't pause and ran into some copyright issues. We had to make some adjustments with the sound during that part to be able to post it... SO SORRY ABOUT THAT!! I know it sucks but don't come at me... I just loved the episode too much!

Bokuto is one of those characters that is impossible not to love and his relationship with Akaashi is one of the most beautiful and funniest things, there is still a long way to go before they show us their story but you are really going to love them.
Hinata's "You're not gonna do it?" Gives me chills every time.
and it also shows the evolution of their quick, where Hinata is the one who leads the quick. While we did hear Hinata think it, but the fact that he was already in the air was saying the exact same, "i'm already here, ready to spike, ya not gonna do it?" and Kags picked up on that. Great teammates can understand each other without words
Hinata leading the first quick in such a fashion really puts a great end to this training arc
YES. I've never been able to get over this. And the thing is he isn't even saying that out loud, Kageyama can just sense that's what he's thinking. I also just love the way the show just goes completely silent, ughhhh it's such a good moment.

This might be out of topic but I just love Sarah's voice and how she talks. I know, this might not a big deal but I really like how she speaks. Love this video!

This is one of the main attractions for me! She's a very effective and cogent speaker! There's a lot of confidence in her tone and you can tell it comes from within.
That gives off a good experience to us viewers! We like to see these things being expressed well and Sarah is just such a well rounded person that you can't help but notice it.
I love how she pauses, takes a moment to think then speaks for a bit - so many reactors keep shouting and saying random things while watching this is just super refreshing and feels good.
@@FuFightersStudio agreed! A lot of reaction styles are really . . . Dumb? Thoughtless? They don't feel as though the reactor gets what an audience wants from a reaction video.

What I love about Bokuto in this episode is that he's getting so much annoyed bcs the crows are getting better but he's so passionate about teaching Hinata (and Tsukishima) new things 🤣
I know she is going to love this show more and more as it goes on. I cannot WAIT. She's going to stan all the characters.

If you're pumped for these episodes I think you're gonna need an oxygen tank for the latter half of this season 🤣
the new quick in a sense is also Yaachi's achievement. yachi always thought of herself as someone unimportant in a story(town person B, who doesnt even have a name). but she was directly involved in the process of perfecting the new move. she helped them practice by tossing the ball for half a month. knowing kageyama and hinata and how they practice, she must have had to toss a lot of balls just in this little time frame. unlike shimizu, she isn't an athletic person. and when it worked, hinata and kageyama appreciate all her effort and give her a fist bump. she feels what they mean and that's why she shudders in excitement and finally has something that she is proud of.
gotta love these little but heavily impactful poetic moments in Haikyuu.
Yachi is so precious, she's an amazing addition to the team
Bokuto is soo fun, he is highly talented but also ridiculously emotional both as a person and player soo it afects him alot, future episodes where we see him playing are always very fun, fukurodani is an awesome team too
I like how it's "realistic" by how well they improve. It's not like once they do it and they're all good and they can hit it 100% of the time. They STILL need to practice.
This is my favorite episode in the entire series. It's just so satisfying to see everything finally start clicking (even if it's just a little bit).
yeah, they were definitely leveling up before, but this is like they suddenly unlocked their talent trees
Bokuto is pretty entertaining as-is but Emo-Bokuto is even better. I've had those moments where you get into a funk and you're just like"ughh, I suck, don't pass me the ball anymore!" so it was really funny to see this play out in an anime. Also hilarious how Fukurodani copes with Bokuto and how Bokuto recovers. Been on both sides, 😂
Also, I just recently realized that Sarah is Tsukki and Melissa Humana-Paredes is ultimate form Hinata.
You can't help yourself but love him. Bokuto is too good for this world.
when you made that "I can't wait to see the moment when it clicks for them" a few episodes back, I just KNEW how elated you'd be watching this episode! it's one of my personal favorites from the training camp arc-- it's so genuinely feel-good and like you said, it just makes you feel so proud of all the boys :') hinata's telepathic "you're not gonna do it?" to kageyama followed by that animation of the ball never fails to give me chills! your pride in them shines so clearly and it's such a joy to witness
also your comment about bokuto's iconic "hey hey hey!" line reminding you of the kool aid man and being the sole thing you dislike about his character for it made me laugh so much, it was so unexpected HAHAHA
My absolute favorite part of this episode is when Kageyama doesn't think they should try the new quick yet but he glances over to Hinata and senses Hinata basically DEMANDING it while he's already in the air, in position. Hinata's "you're not gonna do it?" line gives me chills no matter how many times I rewatch it. The way the music stops and everything, it's so intense. It's phrased like a question but it's basically a "no balls" dare to Kageyama. That's the sort of assertiveness that Grandpa Coach Ukai wanted him to have.
the combined goodiness of these amazing haikyuu vibes and also sarah's reaction vibes are so good for my heart it's making my cheeks sore from all the smiling

Bokuto's an amazing hitter and player, but the team just revolve around him. He's more of an extended arm to scratch ur back. When he's in the court his aura is bright, but when he's subbed out because he cant keep his cool, the team still functions well.

W/o Bokuto = unpolished golden trophy
Different, but still have the same value.

With Yachi, it's not just emotional investment, but she's been an active important part of the training to make it happen. Without the time she spent tossing who knows how many balls up for Kageyama, he'd never have done it. This was a win for all three of these first-years.
Loved the video Sarah, the audio wasn't a big deal since it was so infrequent, you always seem to pick up on all the conversations and unique situations (Hinata not complimenting Kageyama directly) before they have attention brought to them! Looking forward to next week's video and seeing your reactions as the Spring tournament unfolds.

This is low-key my favorite episode in the series so far. The message of earnest hard work paying off is so inspiring no matter who you are and what you do.
Sarah's take on Bokuto "HEY, HEY, HEY" was so "fresh" of what we are used to see from other reactors that I'm gladly surprised about it. She said it is something that SHE have to get pass it and this is completely understandably. Good one! :D

Bokuto's basically a child and Aakashi is his mom.
Bokuto is the epitome of the idiosyncratic star player. Someone with lots of talent, but with personality/mental flaws that the rest of his team need to accommodate.
Takeda-sensei is like the better version of Mr. Incredible's boss with that cog metaphor.

Great watch as usual. Adding my support as usual, & leaving my personal opinions about the iffy translations as usual (although there weren't any major ones this ep).
13:42 「飲～まれるんじゃねぇぞ、おまえら!」➔ "Don't get cocky, you guys!" This is a mistranslation. The literal translation would be "Don't you dare get swallowed up, you guys!". Bokuto is admonishing his own teammates to not get intimidated by the other team, but their translation makes it sound like it's him telling Karasuno off.
20:12 「ス↑パイク…決まるゥ…マジ、気持ちいい」➔ "It feels so awesome when a spike goes through..."
20:16 「片言になってる」➔ "He's babbling..." The translations for this set of dialogue are just fine, but not exactly what the original lines were. 「片言」means "partial words/imperfect language", so Azumane is noticing how Tanaka was speaking in a broken way (with a funny accent, too) as if he's new to speech, kinda like "Me spike... make good. Me really... feel good". LOL
I just love Everything about Bokuto, and everything he does HAHA. He’s my favorite character in the anime .

Bokuto is probably my favourite character out of the world of Haikyuu!!, which, as we all know, is filled to the brim with hands-down incredible guys. The most likely reason for why I love him so much is Emo Bokuto, I'm not gonna lie. Like, this is literally ME in any given situation. I am so glad to finally be represented in media as the complete fool I am lmao
actually, that's really how Akaashi respond always hahahaha. i thought he's unimpressed too but he's also a setter who wants to lift balls to extraordinary spikers specially bokuto

Hey Hey Hey. Awesome timing Sarah. I had a tough week at work and I just got some positive results today after struggling for a week, I wanted to relax and I see the notification for this. Just perfect, Sarah reacting and that to to bokuto, it's just a perfect hey hey hey, bokuto really does bring the mood up.
"Hey hey hey!" was Fast Albert's line from the 70s cartoon. :) Kool-aid Man responded to, "Hey, Kool-aid!"
I think with bokuto it's not just the talent, but also the friendly and outgoing personality, and especially his ease of teaching the others with altruism.
When i first saw the anime i was thinking 'gee i wonder where the bokuto story is going from here', but as you well noticed Sarah, it's not just about him. It's also about his relationship with the setter (really love how they develop that) and the rest of the team
Bokuto is such a fun character and I love him and Akashi's dynamic.

Hi Sarah, excellent video as always! I get chills every time before Hinata "demands" the new quick and Kageyama follows through with the toss and Hinata hits it perfectly. Also Bokuto being surprised that is disciple Hinata pulls off the feint/tip he taught him makes me laugh every time. And I absolutely love when they show Akaashi's 0,5 seconds thought process (and swift decisiveness), if he should toss to Bokuto or not - the relationship between these two is fascinating and very well written 🤩🤩

Sarah, I have been waiting for your reaction to this episode. And wanting to ask have you ever encounter player like Bokuto? A character the has lots of mood swings at times. Just wondering
I played basketball in highschool, and we weren't specially good but also not too bad. I only remember being in the "zone" or in the "flow" once, in a semifinal of a spring tournament. Our coach told us in a time out to give it all (not the exact words) and I remember being at 120%, but it only lasted like a minute, I twisted my ankle and we didn't habe any subs available. Another teammate was sent off and we ended the match with 4 players on the court 😂😂😂
