A yes because harassing one animal because they have a museum with animals in it makes perfect sense. Even though Blathers makes it clear that he takes great care of the fish and even the bugs (wich he is terrified of). Not to mention they would likely live longer in Blathers care if he is taking good care of them like he says. Also they would have had to dominate 5 animals to Tom Nook abd yeah when Blathers came they could have just given him fossils but then them pestering Blathers makes even less seance since there would be next to nothing in there. ON TOP OF THAT considering that they say you shouldn't fish they would have had to A. break there own rule (which considering its peta that is vary believable) or B. only give Tom Nook bugs wich would make saying "empty the tanks" no sense since the only thing in the tanks would be water rocks and sand.
Edit so they also said don't catch bugs so either way they broke there own rule

I’ve come across Sherb 3 times now on island tours and have been tempted to get him just to sell him (for NMTs) but that would have prevented me from getting a villager I actually wanted.

@@lunarcryptid thats impossible though. You cant gift other players fish, and the only way to place fish by decorating your island. You cant drop the fish, buygs, or ocean creatures for another player to pick up. So either they fished it off another players island, or they did so on their own island.

Honestly, I don't try to steal them. I adore my own villagers and I can always just visit her island or dream to it if I ever want to see them, so its no big deal 😌
If Blathers left the game, the fish and bugs would have no purpose other than to sell them, which would probably be worse than putting them in fairly large tanks.

Also notice how all the tanks are themed after the fish's environment? River fish are in tanks where water is constantly running in one direction, pond fish are literally in a pond just made of glass, deep water fish have huge tanks resembling the infinity of the ocean and its depth; it all just fits. Insects aren't enclosed in boxes either, they can fly and walk away if they want to. All their enclosures are just mimics of their natural habitat!

As someone who works at an aquarium, the Peta thing fills me with rage. People come into the place like that a lot, when they really don't know what goes on behind the scenes and are unwilling to be properly educated. Harassing the staff is just going to make you look like a clown and get banned.
I just barely got a switch lite after my mom and my brother have gotte theirs which means that only two of my siblings are sharing a switch but before that having 5 HUGE animal crossing fans on one switch was a nightmare. The switch never got put down, and as the island representative I was the only one who really got to do anything. I was sooo angry that the only way to resolve this issue was to buy new switches

Even if you don’t have many players, it’s so frustrating when you just want to make a nicely planned island. When you start the game not knowing anything, and now you’re super far in, struggling to make your messily put together island look like the 5 star ones you see from other people’s islands, not to mention however many plans you did have, having another player come and plop their house down ruins it.
i'm also struggling to build my dream island with 3 extra one of the houses are right in the front where the airport is and the other one is next to residence serveasis

I assume the reason the more unwanted villagers photos cost more is because there is less photos of them, because people aren't really wanting that villager that much, making less of them exist. But a lot of people like Raymond and want his photo, making more of them exist.

However I did end up getting my own Switch in late May, the game is honestly a lot better when you're the island representative

The main thing I don’t like about New Horizons is that, apparently, you can’t even back up your island on an SD card, so if something happens to your switch, or it gets stolen, you lose everything.
Can someone who is good at organizing petitions please make a petition to allow us to backup our save data on SD cards like you could do with every game on most of Nintendo’s previous consoles (like the Wii and GameCube)? We know they can do it because they have in the past, so there’s no excuse for them not to do it.

I got blocked by peta for telling them they had to give the fish to blathers and that is that didn’t want fish in the tanks to not give them to blathers. Almost like if you don’t want animals to die, don’t kill them in your shelter 🤔 I had less than 10 followers at the time but I guess peta saw me as a threat
When I got my own switch in June (my sister let me use hers for years, but recently moved out) I was DEVASTATED that I had to start Splatoon 2 from scratch. I had over 300 hours of game play, A or above rankings, my personal holy grail weapons and clothes, and had completed most of the solo game (completionist, that is) So when I saw that they finally updated ACNH to have cloud save, I was very happy. I didn't start ACNH until I had my own switch because we didn't want to have to share an island.

I was so desperate for a No. 3 shirt which I wasn't getting in my shops that I spent weeks waiting for Kicks to arrive with the yellow cleats the only guy who was willing to sell me the shirt wanted. I'm lucky that I have my own Switch but it honestly feels like Nintendo are trying too hard to stop hackers and as a result they neglect their other players. No cloud saves was to stop cheating but most hacking clients have a way to back up a save. One island per switch is probably also to prevent cheating but the way they did it just doesn't make sense. When building the store, Timmy tells the second player to ask the first player what to do and will not accept donations of materials. Nintendo are trying so hard to stop hackers, they're forgetting about the other players.

Not hard of hearing but I may have an auditory problem that causes me to sometimes hear gibberish instead of actual words and no matter how often I ask someone to repeat themselves unless they slow down completely or write it down I won't be able to hear them. Talking slow and clear helps alot but captions are WAYYYYYYY better
Justjello If you’re referring to APD, I have that as well (on top of damage to my ears themselves) and even though it isn’t often referred to as it (mostly due to the correlation to “learning disabilities”), Auditory Processing Disorder is a form of hearing loss, and you absolutely would be considered hard of hearing, the damage is just in your brain rather than your ear. It’s a rough time, and captions absolutely are important for ppl who are Deaf, ppl with APD, ppl with ADHD, people with hyperacusis or sensory sensitivity, etc... Captions are just such a simple way to make media a million times easier to consume for So Many People and I wish it was more common and expected !!!

I have to share a switch with my family and my brother is island representative but after like 5 days he gave up on the game and when ever we have to do ANYTHING like move buildings we have to drop our money then log on to his account take the money then move the building and then drop the leftover money and then log on to my account again!! I asked if I could just use his account and move all my stuff to his account but he says he still wants his account. And still, he will never play!!!!!
