Dessay´s German is impeccable and her singing - does it need another comment on how sublime it is? Nothing sounds forced or as if it´s even work. It comes easy and sounds like a piece of cake to the queen of coloratura.
Seen her many times in opera and in recital over the years (last time was less than a year ago). Tiny woman with huge voice projection. Sublime voice but she also has great musicianship and unbelievable acting skills. She really is the whole package.
I saw her at the Lyric Opera in Chicago some years ago in Lucia di Lammermoor. She was spectacular, despite not being "right" for the roll, as a light lyric soprano. She showed her critics how wrong they were!
Merci infiniment pour cette vidéo que je ne connaissais pas Natalie Dessay et merveilleuse dans ce rôle un véritable marathon vocal extraordinaire merci 6:21
Dear Nathalie, I'm a singer and operacomposer, granddaughter of Joan Sutherland and Maria Callas, Mozart and Beethoven, can you protectme against Netrebko & Kissin, please! I wanna be on stage, and they're stealing the lastknickers from my body,Gariffulinais using my voice. Please stop Evgeny Kissin from wigning contracts in my name, he's not my family. I'd like tonsing Marie with Juan Diego Florez, can you be my coach ? And Olympia and Queen of the night. Julia Grigorian ❤
She had to stop singing (nodes). She has a lovely, naturally splendid voice and is a superb artiste but one can hear that her placement is faulty, the voice doesn't always sit in place, which causes her to force. She often goes 'up' when she goes to high notes (normally one goes 'down' , bringing the around into the mask). Her lower range is not in place. The placement is often too far back and her vocal line isn't great as a result. Listen to Gruberova for technical perfection.
And here you are, still not famous. Haist. Just enjoy her artistry bruh. We already know that. No need to say and even compare. Just enjoy her music. Okay?
@@jefdestrera How can one enjoy crap? Just because you've been served shit and you have enjoyed it, does NOT mean the rest of the intelligent audience will enjoy it; matter of fact, we're repulsed by such sounds and distorted facial features.
her singing has nothing to do with real belcanto, listen to Kathleen Battle with Levin Metropolitan version, Jessy Norman and Tatyana Troyanos, there you can hear real opera singing

There are some 'very forced' moments here. Her health issues started to be a real issue by this time. Still adorable though
no one is perfect but this is one of the best.
Yes, Dessay has perfect diction in German!
an entire aria for 12 minutes long......sung seemingly effortless and brilliant......no words for this❤

Sublime Zerbinette !

There is no denying Natalie Dessay is the greatest Zerbinetta of them ALL!
merci de pas oublier notre chere E
dita Gruberova....
For me, she is the greatest coloratura of all time. In her vocal prime, she had it all.
She did not have all the trills; for that, you have to hear Gruberova!
Gruberova is better
@@coloraturaElise Pff ! Rita Streich !
She actually bothers to act well! Not just sing! I truly appreciate that!
In response to your "greatest coloratura of all time" Sutherland is a way better coloratura than Dessay
This is totally amazing. The Queen of the Night is overhyped because of the f3s, but this part is waaaay heavier and harder. Chapeau bas!
What a wonderful performance. All the work and technic desappearing with her incredible talent, just genuine singing…
I remember seeing this live as a young 24 year-old opera fan with much promise in NYC. Life has thrown a few curveballs since then.
Dos grandes sopranos de hermosas voces de diferentes colores, pero bellísimos timbres
NATALIE AND DEBORAH SUCH BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEINGS!!!
I love watching the applause at the end. There’s nothing better than watching a master being lauded!
Amazing, one of the most difficult areas in all of opera.
un carisma incredibile, vocale e scenico, ipnotizzante.
10:24 absolutely mind blowing!!!!!!!!
best part
The best Zerbinetta , she really was unstoppable! Brava Dessay!
The best is by far Gruberova... Natalie stated it herself
Gruberova is the best zerbinetta
@@mirajanestrau1595 yeah she even wore the costume of Edita
For me, the best Zerbinetta stays Mady Mesplé. But Gruberova is also high up my list
Professor Ingeborg Hallstein too
Her voice is like a nightingale.
This is a magnitude better than battle's version.
eine ideale zerbinetta - as to her voice and representatiom of this role
Really one of her best.
I just hope the ones that are criticizing Natalie singing could at least sing 30% as good as she did. 😊😊😊
those criticizing her singing are not climbing onto the stage, to show their bad singing, but Natalie does climb and show bad singing
Yo amo a Dessay. She is the best!!!
Divina♡
Dessay superba !
It almost sounds as if this aria is too easy for her!
Époustouflant
Nobody does it like the French! Direct in the line from Dorus Gras ...
素晴らしすぎる
Es gibt nur eine Zerbinetta: Edita Gruberova ❤
❤️👏👏👏👏
👏👏👏
prodigieuse...
Can you say "Tour de Force?"
This video is spoiled by vandalism ("This Is Coloratura") at the bottom of the screen.
you're right 😂

Perfection is boring, ahahah
I saw her singing in Paris in November 2021 in a concert and she was wonderful
Both artists are examples of faulty techniques that destroyed their voices before the age of 40. Please stop with this madness.
