As an add on, the first collegiate national championship tournament was held in 1937 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City by the National Association of Intercollegiate Basketball (NAIB). The NAIB was the forerunner to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The tournament is still played at Municipal Auditorium to this day.
I love this I am doing my homework about this. bc my family is REALLY into basketball 🏀. LOVE your vid, PS. I subbed. PSS. Gr8 research and keep doing your vids GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CHANNEL🥰😍😘
The sport actually began in ancient times...the American aboriginals had a similar "ball game" where the hoop was vertical and you still had to get the rubber ball through the hoop. It represented heavenly bodies in the universe and the game was played when a change in power was happening.
Great question! I don't know... It felt like there were some very clear things to hit in part 1, but i still wrapping my mind around the structure for part 2! Stay subscribed and hopefully I find a way to do it soon!
@@ELIASZZambrano as a matter a fact the Red Soxs recently released a hat with all the Massachusetts area codes on it and 413 (Springfield and all of Western mass) was inexplicably left out. I think it's safe to say that feeling is mutual lmao
Ah yes so basically NBA was formerly known as BAA(Basketball Association of America), and then had to merged with the 1st basketball league in history, NBL, in 1949 and then became NBA... Then again ABA came in as another American basketball league in mid and then they merged with NBA in mid 70s... The history cycle was real... But imagine what could have been if ABA still around as a 2nd american basketball league just like those 2 competition between UCL & Europa League in European football club league these day
Hopefully some day! Got a bit sidetracked with some of my other projects, but it’s still bouncing around my mind with ideas for it! It feels like there’s a lot of ways to go in part 2!
There is no way basketball is the second biggest sport on earth. Football (soccer) is the biggest, followed by cricket. American sports follow after these.
where is the second part?
you just helped me a ton with a school project. keep up the great work!

Maybe in the UK, not in the world though.
Basketball is pretty young then
Quite disappointed that you failed to mention that James Naismith was a Canadian.
Hope to make a follow up sometime in the future!
