    Some freshers have this confusion that without experience they can't become DA 2.0. Let me clarify this: It is not like you become DA 1.0 and then 2.0. You can directly become DA 2.0 if along with tech skills you focus on building soft skills (i.e. stakeholder communication, domain understanding, expectation management etc) and learn how to use AI tools such (ChatGPT, Text2SQL) etc to work efficiently. Companies will hire freshers directly who have the right mix of tech + soft skills. Also DA 2.0 jobs are going to increase in the future as many purely functional roles such as business analysts will be replaced by DA 2.0 that is functional + technical.

    I think AI will hurt foreign jobs, many US companies will rather hire 1 US data scientist with AI improving productivity than hire a foreign team at the same cost.

      Not just AI / ML jobs, almost all Computer related jobs. Already I'm seeing startups firing Frontend-Only, Backend-Only roles in Web Application builders. Was even more shocked to see many companies are FORCING old Fullstack Web developers to UPSKILL in Mobile App development as Mobile has larger reach. In my old company, I've seen an independent team of AI specialists appointed to research on using ChatGPT to write all the backend code as backend is nothing but data massaging with some logic and no extra spices.
      By 2025, All coding jobs would be deemed useless and fully replaced by AI. Exponential evolution of GPT based systems are wiping out humans in the blink of an eye. 1 AI Engineer can be responsible not only to fit the role of Data Scientist, but also develop web and mobile apps using AI tools.
      You can check the job crisis in China. Students / Graduates crowd Kilometers and wait for 24 hours to 3 or 4 days just to know if they're eligible for a minimum wage job. India is not far away with such massive population plus a population that never stops increasing.

    I know of a company that slashed about 20% of it's CLOUD engineering workforce fairly recently, in the Tech decimation.
    One engineer posted a very dignified but disgusted essay on the company intranet,
    on why the company was promising to be more "customer-centric",
    but subtracting so much expertise had changed the structure and efficacy of meeting objectives and deadlines.
    The post was also his resignation announcement, with the barb that it was no longer the company he enjoyed working for.
    Almost all tech admin jobs can be replaced with a few key users who are utilizing AI.
    However, many hands make light work, as we say in the UK
    As we're learning on this lovely island, is that, if you interfere with the supply chain, even a little, there are effects that become apparent, in the real world.
    Productivity and even delivery of products slows down, and there are many more failure points.
    Many companies I know have already whittled down many depts to the bone, already, since 2008.
    Some reduced several Analysts positions, down to one.
    Now, if that guy goes on holiday, or leaves, they company is blinded and, coping clumsily for several months,
    until a new replacement is found.
    Tech progress keeps changing the landscape coninuously.
    Remember that AI web designing tools, like squarespce, were going to wipe out the web developer engineers!
    They're still around, USING THE VERY TOOLS that was going to replace them, to design websites even faster, for customers!!
    Some of this news alarmism is executive staff, keeping the troops in line.
    Stay strong and focused, people. 🤩

    In Data Analyst 2.0, the same task is done by Business Analyst. A Business Analyst is especially known for domain knowledge, problem-solving, communication with stakeholders and clients, and technical skills such as Excel, SQL, and Power Bi or Tableau.
    in short Data Analyst 2.0 = Business Analyst

    • @snipelite94
      @snipelite94 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Business analysts are generally QUALITATIVE.
      They talk to lots of stakeholders, perform presentations, then write all the agreements and 'wants' down in detailed documentation.
      Data Analysts are mostly QUANTITATIVE.
      They, like the engineers, produce solutions, tweaks and maybe a final project objective, for colleagues and customers.
      They're similar, yes
      But the BA isn't as much of a code rat as the DA 💪🥇
      BA's always seem more managerial, with frequent stakeholder meetings
      Which is probably why they're generally paid more.

    It will replace data entry and entry level data analyst jobs hundred percent whether anyone agrees on not this is only chat gpt4 we are not even talking about the future versions of chat GPT imagine what it will do in 2025 2030 so it's better if someone is just entering the field he/she should rethink.
    And those employees who are basically doing repetitive task in the name of data analyst or business analyst have a reason to worry now because any job which require certainly level of automation on repetitive task will be hurt by AI and that's a fact.
    1 analyst with promt engineering will be doing jobs of 15-30 analyst easy.

      Whenever you work on something do not focus just on that given *task*. Try to understand the *why* behind things. Try to understand the business/domain. This you can do by talking to people who are in business/industry. Watch case studies on channels like ThinkSchool. Linkedin has a course on "critical thinking" follow that (I think its free). Overall look at any given problem with an owner/problem solver mindset. Also make friendship with others who have this mindset.

    I think that, they sell courses on Data analyst so they never tell you that Data analyst freshers job's are at end.

Could you be interested in problem solving but not necessarily be interested in the industry like hospitality in your example? There are certain things that AI is very far away from achieving which is working in a team. Say you are working in a team of 5 people, you understand their emotions, and personalities, go out with them on team building activities, etc. After that when you communicate with them, that communication has an empathy that you developed through those human engagements. Can AI do this? No.

      Employers never care for Employees. They put up an act to make the coder do their job. Employers wish the Employee can work 24/7/30/365 for the salary they pay and not 8 hour days and that too with tons of breaks, discussing office politics, whiling away time, talking irrelevant non-job related stuff, chit-chat, etc. Businessmen are Businessmen. They never cared for humans when machines replaced them. They never cared for humans when computers replaced manual desk jobs. They hardly ever care when AI replaces humans entirely.
      Emotion is a money killer for businessmen. AI will never get emotional and do all things obediently without fighting back or lazing away as humans. Not saying humans will have no opportunities,. but where will it stop>? Population is growing at alarming rate, 9 Billion, 10 Billion.... More jobless coz more and more competition and not just competition, but competition to beat AIs. Future is pretty devastating indeed.

    • @codebasics
      @codebasics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Folks, let me clarify. First of all in order to become DA 2.0, you don't need to become DA 1.0 and then upgrade. You can directly become DA 2.0 if you learn soft skills (stakeholder communication, project management, domain understanding) in parallel to tech skills + use AI tools (ChatGPT, Text2SQL etc) to boost your productivity + have a right mindset of a "problem solver" rather than "task executor". I believe DA 2.0 jobs will actually increase because in any business there are many functional roles (that require no tech skills) such as business analyst. Those roles will be taken away to an extent by DA 2.0 hence number of DA 2.0 jobs are going to grow as per our research!

      Do not worry about degree. At this stage you can work on building your basic math/statistics skills: th-cam.com/play/PLeo1K3hjS3uvzrbWWM8m8CfDR-CBihnqf.html
      Master those skills using Excel as shown in that playlist. After that learn Power BI. In parallel build soft skills, join local toastmasters club to improve english. Learn the art of presentation: search for "death by powerpoint" in youtube and follow the tips mentioned in that video during your presentation.

    • @codebasics
      @codebasics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think so. I forgot to cover that point but many business analyst jobs (which are purely functional with no tech skills) will be taken away by DA 2.0. There are many other business related roles that any organization have, those roles also will be subtituted by DA 2.0. In short, DS 2.0 jobs will increase but it will take away many non-tech, purely functional jobs.
