For me you have to have something to say that makes sense for me to buy your music! Most rappers make music based on commercial success not musical content! There are differences if you like party rap songs then nas ain’t for you and that’s okay! Nas has messaging in his music along with dope and clever lyrics! He’s well read in the English language! His wordplay is absolutely amazing! Listen to more of his music and i think you will have him higher on your best rapper’s list!

Far as just stories, most recently based on true events 1&2 are amazing 🔥🔥🔥so many to name, these are full songs, he got verses in songs that are stories too: shootouts, the setup, rise and fall, death row east, beef, undying love, the message, queens wolf. Last one is one love, not a full song like the other, but “the last half of the 3rd verse” of One love is also acted out in the movie Belly.
