I was 16 when this album came out. Those were the days of real hip hop. Like all the heads from all the boroughs of NYC were lyricist in their own way, but Nas was that story teller that alot of us could relate back in the 90s. Song is dope but Nas caught some criticism back then from the real hip hop crowd for stealing an idea.

When nas album drop I actually went to the library to look up the shit he was saying. Then by the mid 90s we use to print his lyrics at the library when the internet started to grow.
