I went to a Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy a couple of times in New Orleans when I lived in Slidell. Beautiful liturgy. I loved the experience.
And one time in Houston, I was able to experience a Maronite Catholic Divine Liturgy (or Mass??).
There is so much beauty in Catholicism.

How wonderful!!! Go to mass and do your best to participate. No one is watching you. The mass is experiencing the last supper again. There are 2 readings from the Bible, a Gospel reading by the Priest or deacon, and then the priest is usually the one to talk about the readings from that day and how it pertains to us in our lives. The Priest then accepts the “gifts” to the altar: the small round hosts, water and wine. The mass continues with the priest blessing these gifts. The most important part is when The priest consecrates the host. It becomes the Eucharist (looks like the host). Jesus is then actually present in the Eucharist. This is so precious, that some people learn about Catholicism for many, many months. At Easter, they become official Catholics and are welcomed into the church. They receive holy communion (the Eucharist) for the first time. If you’d like to just spend some quiet time in the church, you can stop by during the day and go inside to visit and speak with Him through praying. Ten minutes, 30, it doesn’t matter. Please feel welcomed. If anyone asks you questions, just say you’re there to pray. If it’s a priest, you can tell him you’re interested in learning more, if you like. Some churches have an adoration chapel. It’s totally silent in there. Jesus is present on the small altar, in the host/Eucharist. It’s placed inside the monstrance for us to be with Him directly. The statues in church are usually of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. We pray to Jesus, but we also speak to Saints and Mary and Joseph to intercede for us. It’s like having your prayers multiplied. We ask people to pray for us. There’s power in prayer. Imagine having Saints, Virgin Mary and Joseph ALSO praying for us to Jesus.
I’m really excited for you to be interested in our denomination. Please know the main message and goal is Love. Pray for Peace, Love for our world. Pray for your peace and thankfulness for His unconditional love. There’s nothing you could have done that will make Him stop loving you. I pray you find your way closer and closer to Him.

I don't think there is a difference, it's literally the same church, just different rite/culture.
      Both lead by pope
      Both accept Catholic filioque
      Both accept Catholic Marian dogma
Both are in Vatican and Jerusalem
Both having their own orders and seminaries
      Both take Eucharist
Both going to Mass (with different names like Divine Liturgy or Holy Qurbana)
      Both are within Catholic Church
      Both are Catholics.
Literally both are Catholics. No difference
Like moving from US to Russia, same church.
That's why it's more proper "i switched rite" than switch Roman to Ruthenian, it's literally the same church, the same Church itself in Rome.

On topic of married priesthood, there is another important thing to consider.
Some of our Eastern Catholic parishes in North America haven't had a married priest in many decades or ever. If they get a married priest, the parishioners might not know how to deal with this reality. This can lead to tensions.

As I’m watching Father Jason, his insite is excellent. I think we need to have a cultural understanding of our Eastern brothers and sisters that they are coming from (in some cases) communist social ideas and this might also be why they don’t like the Pope being anything more than “First among equals”. Maybe by understanding this we could find a way to bring our Orthodox Church back into union somehow. Perhaps by the Pope having a loose reigns approach which I think that is fine within reason.

There are 6 or 7 “rites” in the Catholic Church depending on how you break up each rite and that includes the Roman Rite. The Roman Rite is used by the Latin Church and the Eastern Rites are used by the 23 Eastern Churches. The Latin Church and Eastern Churches are what makes up the Catholic Communion or universal Church. But because ~98% of Catholics around the world belong to the Latin Church while only 2% belong to the Eastern Churches, it’s common for people to use “The Catholic Church” when referring to the Latin Church (the proper name of the Western Church).
The Roman Church most properly refers to the Diocese of Rome. But can also be used to refer the universal Church or the entire Catholic Communion (the One Holy Catholic Apostolic and Roman Church). Because to be “Catholic” we must be in communion with the Bishop of Rome.
So even though Catholics belonging to the Latin Church are referred to as “Roman Catholics”, in actuality we are “Latin Catholics”. Eastern Catholics are also “Roman Catholics” because of their communion with Rome.
We Latin Catholics could say we are “Roman Rite” Catholics but “Romanitas” is a note of the universal Church.

I’ve tried for months to go to the Roman Catholic Church, but it seems that all the signs are there saying that I don’t belong. I’ve asked for first communion and classes, I’ve gotten nothing but vague hostility. I’ve registered as a parishioner, but the paperwork is never finished. I’ve made appointments to have my previous marriage annulled so that my husband of 21 years and I can be married in the church, and when we got there, we were told that the priest couldn’t be there for our appointment because he was in another meeting and that we should wait for 2 1/2 hours for him to return. She could have called. But it all adds up to the obvious - I’m not wanted there. Maybe the Eastern Catholics will accept my efforts.

The schism between East and West is not just about retaining the power of the local church. Would that it was that simple! There have been profound theological differences over the centuries. I'm thinking of the Oriental as well as the Orthodox Churches. The video seems, all too glibly, to downplay the differences. Having said this, the Eastern Churches in communion with Rome are a powerful witness to how we can all live in communion as Catholics.
