I get so much inspiration from you. I suffer from anxiety and depression... It's hard to get enough energy to get going. Just by looking at you helps a lot. Thanks to everyone on the show 🙂👍🏻💪🤘
Chad don’t worry. You have not messed up anything. That is a great one off custom car/ bike hauler. The only way you can mess up any car, is when you are finished with the car, you stand back and look at it. If you don’t like it. Then you messed up. On the other hand if you like it, then you did the right thing. This is still America, not the United States of TH-cam Opinion. Even mine. Keep up the amazing custom work. People just enjoy the process, and support Chad.
This car is going to be like the blue one that he chopped! He goes on about saving the patina it just ends up looking like a patchwork quilt. He did a good job of matching the paint color but I could see the weld on the right back side of the roof. Not too impressive, especially cutting up a pristine 75 year old survivor. It looks as if there's plenty of useless junk scattered in the yard to cut up I to patchwork crap.
Stop whining. If you don't like the channel go hate somewhere else. It's that simple. Plenty of old cars in the world that can be restored. And you really think about it. If he don't like what he has done it can always be put back together. Maybe not so much as original but damn near perfect. So go whine somewhere else!!
@petezappa8748 they make me laugh too but not the way they do you. The conversations and things they do are awesome. I watch cause i enjoy the everyday content, the real, the fuck ups, the fixes, the cool shit he builds. I'm sure there are way better custom builders out there and even Chad would admit that but you can't deny the skill he has with just the tools he has. Alot of other builders may have bigger, fancier shops and tools than he does but he is showing you that you don't really need all that to customize or build a car. And so what most of his cars don't get finished. But I'm sure he can cause he's done it. They make money off the views on here. The more views the more money. And they explained a few times that going through every detail on a car like the tedious stuff don't bring in alot of views. So you have to ask yourself as a owner or whatever doing these TH-cam videos do i want to make more money by just fabrication or do I take less when I'm doing other videos showing the slow tedious shit? And he's said many times he's not a mechanic. And when they started doing TH-cam he was building these cars by himself. With limited tools and shit like that and building more cars than guys that have 5 or six guys on a team. But you watch what you wanna watch.
This car could be so much more than a bike carrier. The opening in the back could be used to slide in different modules. You could have a module that’s a back seat and trunk, or another module that’s a camper kitchen for long road trips, another module could be just a trunk but nicely divided for carrying lots of gear. Just an idea that I hope you use. Love the build. Great fun to watch.
It is so good to see Chad's creativity . These are CUSTOM builds. This is not a restoration site. To take a car and recreate it into something new and different and have fun doing it , is the point. Henry Ford already built the first version.
This is for Jolene. Don't let Chad read this. LOL Will you please tell (suggest) to Chad to build a light weight table (easy to move around) for some of the measuring, cutting and fabricating light material. He is on his knees on the concrete way too much. He will pay for it later. Knee pads are a pain, so why not try not bending over so much and make some of work less stressful on your body. I do that in my own garage and what a relief. Put a bin on it for markers, a tape measure, etc. so when you are working at the table you won't have to go search for where you left those items last time used. He can also get a few dense foam pads to leave around the floor when he is working down there. Way easier on the knees which were not designed to be on hard surfaces like concrete so often. Just thinking about ya!
there's a lot of things he could do to his shop to make it more efficient and user friendly. But he seems to like things the hard way, my head hurts watching him some days.
Believe me the old saw of "Bodymans knee" is a truism. I had them prior to replacements. I think Chad works too much on the floor. Atable will save him much pain later on.
You three make for great content and enjoyable to listen to. I’d put a round bar roller between the angle iron at the rear drop point. Bike platform would always be in contact with it and roll on and off. Easy peasy
I love this build I think you need to get some short black ratchet straps that you can attach to the front forks where the front fender mounts...so you can't see the straps from outside the car. Also flame the wood floor with the torch and oil it to give it patina. Awesome work. Cheers Tony
The front wheel chock may work better if it were more like the "Pingel" style chock with some horizontal bars that eliminate the side to side wobble when the bike's in place. It also makes it way easier to place the straps when the bike will stand there by itself. Just a thought. APH
You and Nate and Jolene are an awesome group of people I love your fabrication of the coupe and cannot wait until the final product is done. I love your style and love Fina!!!!!!!
I disagree 100 percent. Chad is the owner, and the Boss. It is his money, and he wants everything done his way, which is how it should be. He should control everything, because he is spending his money to make it all happen. It is not a partnership, Chad is the Boss, and what he says goes. If it was me I would do the same thing, he pays them so they do what he says and what he wants.
He wants things done his way and that's the way it should be. How would you like it when you tell someone to be careful from denting or scratching the metal and they are rough handling it? Watch the videos and you will see what I see about this subject.
I love this project and you and the crew do a great job, you might consider making an adjustable chalk and make sure your length is long enough. For instance, a Harley Sportster has a short wheelbase and skinny tires while an Electraglide would have a long wheelbase and fat front tire. Anyways keep up the good work Chad you have a great artistic eye.
I had a poor nights sleep last night. I had a dream i was gifted a chocolate brown 1978 AMC Pacer. Bad Chad showed up and helped me cut the top off. We turned it into a 2 door open top roadster. Honestly, it turned out kinda cool. Thankyou Chad for a weird feverish dream that has me questioning my latenight youtube viewing and spicy snack bedtime routine. You and your gang of misfits are the best!
You asked everyone...then made titles like these cause everyone unanimously hated the upbrupt change to make it a bike hauler cause you couldn't find a way to make the rear end work after hacking it apart and welding it badly together in such a huge hurry. So yea... Controversy on or whatever makes you TH-cam dollars
Hi all I think I might see a little problem with the front wheel support it going to need some way for water to drain away. Mighty awesome idea you've created, I take my hat off to you 👍
Poor Fina doesn't seem herself today. To pull ticks off the best way is to use one finger to move the tick around in a circle a few times and it'll release its grip... If you just yank it out,, part of the tick may stay inside her. Feel better soon Fina😊
Chad the next time you are using your chopsaw to cut a board that’s wider than the blade put another piece of wood under the board you want to cost and it will lift it up higher on the blade giving you more surface area. I really hope this helps.
The best teacher I ever had would say "use everything available to you to succeed with the task" Using the maul as an anvil to forge that steel me think of him.

Good job. You might want to give some thought to loading and unloading the bike with that ramp on an angle out the back of the car. One person can not do it alone. Keep up the good work !!!
Well, beings you've gone this far. Slide a wide board to the middle and put the strips on one side together. Main thing is having center wide and supported for the weighted tires on center. If you would like to consider putting two pieces of angle iron the length of the bike bed that way you don't have to fiddle around if the bike is centered. Just run it up between the pieces of angle iron
Chad's to do as he pleases with. But I'd say, he should've at least cut up an old 4-door car for this idea. Be a longer rear end on it then. And not waste an unmolested 2-door.
Cut and weld a triangle steel plate with a bottom flange on both sides of the bike front wheel holder. The flange can be bolted to the wood floor bord and the whole structure would be much stiffer.
Hey, Chad! You need to write on the welding gloves "Got Ground?", because you always forget to tut the ground on the part, that you are starting to weld together :D
Win over ? What ? That's got to be crazy statement ! Your car builders not car restorers ! And so what ,at first ya I get the whole roadster vibe but come on guys if you know Chad he's going after more on it . The bike hauler is a first so I'm in on it I never seen one before and I know that's Chad's whole look on it to so that's why he's building it . Oh by the way it'll still look, like a roadster and could be one again with a easy fix ! Thumbs-up Jolene and cheers team Hiltz !
Chad is an amazing car builder and I’ve watched every episode since it aired on Discovery. And, 2:59 recently switched to watching via TH-cam. Am still enjoying it, however, find myself fast forwarding through each episode, especially, the monotonous bits. Perhaps you could edit your recordings to around 40/45mins?
Chad and jolene could you not attach a winch up front that connects to the eyes of the ramp so once you have a bike on there the winch will help you pull the ramp and bike up onto the car .just my belly button as you say. Jolene think the camera work is excellent we get to see everything thank you. Keep up the great work all of you 👍 👏
The absolute last thing you want to do is to shut up the critics. You never know where a good idea will come from. And Lee Iococco, another great car builder, once said that nothing is created except through argument
i have to admit, i havent been watching your videos for a bit, came back and saw this one and must say: Thats a cool idea for a car. i am a big motorcycle guy and dream of something like this. i am sure most motorcycle guys do....
My only concern on this build is that as soon as you hit a bump while driving this awesome car is that the frame will fold like an accordion. Otherwise I love the channel and the projects! Shout out to Fina!
No it will not. Lol do you know anything about frames , he lighten car more and the bike is less weight. Lol this i know, I am builder and I build frames too. Lol
Hi, just an idea for location of the cars spare wheel. When sheathing the back two sides, how about making a round recess for the spare wheel to sit in and held in place with a leather belt strap. 😊😊😊 Cracking content as usual, looking forward to the next video. Cheers Rich1899 from WALES
Are you going to be hauling the same bike every time, or are you building this to haul various bikes? Just so you know that some bikes have wider tires than others, and a longer wheel base, plus the fork tubes on some are also in different positions. The way you are putting the braces on the chalk should be positioned out away from the tire on each side forming a V like shape. This way when rolling the bike onto the platform the tire would hit on a brace and automatically force the wheel to the center. Just my opinion, but it is a valid concern.
Hi Chad. I think it might work better if you got rid of the rear rollers on the platform, and instead added rollers on the angle iron right at the spot where the angle changes.
Why not design an electric cable system to assist pulling the ramp in the car. Might save a back. Just a thought. Also why not use some C channel to run the bike on in the middle of the ramp.
That slide in/out platform is going to be heavy to use. Why not just put in a ramp you can run the motorcycle up and down. Looks like a lot of work for nothing. It’s really not very appealing. Just stop and close in the back.
hello team hiltz just learnt a new phrase "bad chad nation" are we bad; are we crazy no we just love you guys and what you do ,greetings from south africa
Hi chad on the bike hauler you are building have an idea kicking around in my head not sure what you think but anyways what about a couple " v " style boat rollers not that much at princess auto mount one on each side in back of car then weld a piece of angle iron on the bottom of the cradle Nate built on each side upside down so the v will correspond to the v in the rollers might make it a bit easier to roll bike and cradle into the car also made of rubber and wont rattle watch your video everyday and the wife says hi to fina

Hi, just an idea for location of the cars spare wheel. When sheathing the back two sides, how about making a round recess for the spare wheel to sit in and held in place with a leather belt strap. 😊😊😊
Cracking content as usual, looking forward to the next video.

BAD CHAD SAYS "Idle hands is the devils BROTH" 😮
Idle hands do the devils work…….so I guess idle hands could make broth…..🤔
Love this build
I think some round rod would be good to put for support from the front of the tire support to frame. Just an idea.
Coming along well Chad and Nate Good video Jolene
I think the doggy's ears hurt with all the noise.
Good show😎
Are you going to be hauling the same bike every time, or are you building this to haul various bikes? Just so you know that some bikes have wider tires than others, and a longer wheel base, plus the fork tubes on some are also in different positions. The way you are putting the braces on the chalk should be positioned out away from the tire on each side forming a V like shape. This way when rolling the bike onto the platform the tire would hit on a brace and automatically force the wheel to the center. Just my opinion, but it is a valid concern.
It is going to be a mission to get the bike in and out of the car. There is a lot of weight there.
I don't think it will be able to be lifted onto the back of the car with much stability.@@mikescheuermann7586
Going to be easy for your feet to slip off the trunk when walking the bike in there!
There are always problems with new ideas. Let's wait and see how Chad overcomes them when he gets to load and unload the bike.@@slvrktman7824
Just make a flat floor and use one aluminum motorcycle ramp to get the bike in and out.
Yes. That would work a treat. Just wheel the bike in. No lifting, no slide on tray. Winner , winner. Chicken dinner.@@rhllnm
Why would you take a nice car like that and make a motorcycle hauler out of it it look better as a roadster. Ruined that car brother.
Looking good brother

Hi Chad. I think it might work better if you got rid of the rear rollers on the platform, and instead added rollers on the angle iron right at the spot where the angle changes.
You should never strap it down with the kickstand and only strapping the front. A cycle should always have 2 upfront and 2 in the back.
Why not design an electric cable system to assist pulling the ramp in the car. Might save a back. Just a thought. Also why not use some C channel to run the bike on in the middle of the ramp.
poor Fina
POOR DOG CANT TURN OOF THE NOISE A
You may need to put rollers in angle iron at axis point at the rear and end so ramp will clear roll pan
Hi all ! .It's Friday! Enjoy yourselves a bit!
I might have made the brace out of one piece and wrapped it around the fender for more strength and appearance. Enjoyed the show.
The build looks wicked Bro Hatera going to Hate
Going some ripping boy s that bike going to be heavy to pick up
Is there room to be able to do the straps up once the bike is in the back of the car?
That slide in/out platform is going to be heavy to use. Why not just put in a ramp you can run the motorcycle up and down. Looks like a lot of work for nothing. It’s really not very appealing. Just stop and close in the back.
hello team hiltz just learnt a new phrase "bad chad nation" are we bad; are we crazy no we just love you guys and what you do ,greetings from south africa
Wow all the way from South Africa, you never know who is watching, from Elora Ontario 🇨🇦,like you’re comment
I'm surprised Chad still has all his fingers. His actions with that chop saw are horrendous!
Exactly my thoughts. I'm no carpenter but I've used a mitre saw enough to know they're not very forgiving.
I do that all the time!!!
You wouldn't want to come out on a construction site with all that fear of what you're seeing!!
@@Aaronlewis8846 None of the guys I've worked with would EVER do shyte like that!
To secure the bike properly, you should have the tires in a track so when riding on a rough road the tires stay where they are suppose to be.
Why not use a metal channel as a trough to guide the bike to center on rack?
Hi chad on the bike hauler you are building have an idea kicking around in my head not sure what you think but anyways what about a couple " v " style boat rollers not that much at princess auto mount one on each side in back of car then weld a piece of angle iron on the bottom of the cradle Nate built on each side upside down so the v will correspond to the v in the rollers might make it a bit easier to roll bike and cradle into the car also made of rubber and wont rattle watch your video everyday and the wife says hi to fina
