Damn this is the first time I am seeing one of your videos and it is bloody brilliant. Seriously the best, most comprehensive and well structured review I have ever seen on TH-cam.

He is humble enough not to admit this but TechTablets waste none of his viewers time. If you want a phone and want the most technical reviews he is the best. And i would choose flossy as the best non technical reviewer
4:45 as a person that works at a phone retailer you would be surprised how many people would rather choose 2 bad secondary cameras instead of a 1 good one. If the market demands it they will deliver it, we will probably never see this trend die because of that.
This is where Honor does better than Xiaomi. Their budget phones offer only two cameras. They drop the macro camera to allocate the budget for a better ultrawide camera sensor and lens. The result is a well-balanced camera system that lacks nothing because macro camera is barely even used at all, and is totally not worth it, since zooming from the main sensor provides much better quality images than what you can get out of the 2mp macro camera.
Very complete review! I love your tests, you're doing a great work 👍 Impressed by this smartphone. It's great to have so much performance at this price point. Not good for photo, but not a surprise. Thank you for the video.
I'll answer. From India and I bought this phone last week for the equivalent of 316.8 USD. After using it for a full week I can safely say this is the best phone I have ever used, especially in the price bracket. It technically is the best value for money phone IN THE WORLD in the Top 20 of the Antutu benchmark list due to the price to score ratio, giving you flagship performance for throwaway prices. The PROS: 1. Amazing user experience, fast and responsive and HyperOS gives you a lot of control if you take time to go through it deeply. You can easily uninstall bloatware and shut off system apps that are not needed and never hear from them again. The UI is really clean and minimalistic and it's beautiful really. IOS UI with Android customizability and control. Perfect! The fingerprint sensor is super responsive and never gave me an issue either. Also yes, the lack of a proximity sensor doesn't seem to have any negative impact since the screen ALWAYS shut off whenever I picked up a call so no worries there. 2. Superb battery life if you actually know how to optimize apps and take the time to restrict apps from running in the background using the settings menu. It has a great in-built Memory Booster and you can set the phone to automatically clear RAM and cache after you lock the phone, greatly improving battery life. In my multiple tests under different scenarios I got the following results: a. Out of the box, first full charge - 42 hours with battery saver mode turned on from 80% and medium usage b. Heavy usage with 5G, Wifi, calls, photos and videos - over 34 hours with 15% battery remaining with Battery Saver mode on from 20% c. Heavy usage with long screen on time, medium gaming yesterday and normal to medium usage today, all with 5G on - 28 hours All tests above were with 120Hz on for all apps all the time, except some rare moments when the battery was really low. So if you use the memory cleaner button before locking your phone, or just clear all apps from the background using the normal menu button clear, in addition to disabling background autostart for non-essential apps and restricting background apps, the battery life is really great. Also, I use Nova Launcher which seems to use less battery than the default Poco Launcher so that seems to help too. I also use an animated wallpaper with lots of pure black areas so that takes advantage of the AMOLED screen and saves battery. All these things add up. Charging time is as advertised with minor variations. Super fast in my experience, coming from a phone that took 3 hours to charge. NOTE: The in built Battery manager in the Security App gives excellent one tap recommendations that you can pick and choose in case you are seeing battery drain and wanna save it. Like restricting 5G usage when not needed or turning off draining apps with 1 tap. I have the shortcut on my home screen and make good use of it. It even tells you how much time you will get by doing those optimizations. 3. Camera - Pretty good for the specs, takes pretty nice pics automatically without much adjustment, using HDR. Videos are ok, haven't tested them by opening on a big screen. Night pics came out brighter and nicer than expected and day pics are great anyway. No real complaints. 4. Future proof phone - I have the 12 GB, 512 GB variant and with UFS 4 and DDR5X RAM (which can be pushed to 20 GB with Virtual RAM), what more could one ask for in this price range? This far exceeds what any other phone is providing in this range and even in higher brackets. All other phones with these features are around double the cost if not more. It's basically magic. :) I won't have to worry about performance or slowdowns for years now. Plus you get 3 more Android version updates for the next 3 to 4 years. Crazy. 5. Display - BEAUTIFUL EFFING DISPLAY!!! SUPER CRISP AND CLEAR!! NO WORDS!! Also speakers are full and amazing!! I love this phone and would recommend it to anyone who is not hyperfocused on being a professional photographer and if you are then you're better off buying a DSLR anyway with the money you will save buying this phone haha. Like why would you not buy this phone, it's a no brainer and is quite literally the best value for money phone in the world right now. If you are looking to save money but get the flagship experience, go for it! PS: As you might have noticed, I didn't add any cons since I really can't find any that are big enough to match the pros. Actually almost zero issues or inconveniences in my 1 week experience. Slight heat up if you play games while charging but that's just expected so no complaints.
I've got the poco x6 it's brilliant i cannot believe the quality with these two phones from poco. If i was samsung i would be very worried about the A series with their midrange phones like the A55. The poco x6 and x6 pro are serious competition. If only a lot more people knew about poco phones and they sold them europe they would wipe the floor with samsung. And you still get a charger and case included with poco devices in the box. Unlike samsung who decided to do away with it. Even for their midrange and now budget devices!
As such I use Nova Launcher and customise my smartphone with widgets, wallpapers, icon packs, shortcuts, gestures and folders etc, and use smartphone camera only for scanning documents (because I prefer to live the scenes than fiddle with smartphone camera), so in theory this phone seems to be perfect for me. I don't much care about slow software updates, will disable and uninstall bloatware, disable advertisements in the UI, hide all unnecessary elements, and will not use in built apps and hope that ROM is usable and free from bugs. But still I don't know whether it will be enough to compensate for the fact that I am moving from the best UI which is ONE UI from Samsung Galaxy S20 which I have customised using Samsung Good Lock, to MIUI which has been regarded along with iQOO Fun Touch OS as the worst ROM! Buying 512 GB storage variant of X6 Pro paired with fast processor will give plenty of room for snappy productivity in Evernote, Office and other apps and storing plenty of documents. Big screen will be good for reading and browsing. Battery life is good and IR blaster is a plus. Will definitely miss headphone jack and Micro SD Card despite 512 GB storage. In theory seems perfect. But I think in reality it will be unpleasant and not as good as even an old Samsung S series smartphone, which though is inferior on paper, works better because of good software optimisation and pleasant software aesthetics and how well apps behave on Samsung ROM on its S series smartphones. I love and extensively use wireless charging which is not present on POCO X6 Pro. USB 2.0 is slow when transferring files and will hinder taking advantage of that 512 GB internal storage. I feel better than buying these smartphones is to buy Samsung and Google Pixel one year after Launch when their price drops (but have plenty of software support left).
I see on Amazon Italy, the 12/512gb version is at 380Euro. There is nothing on the market that tops the performance and storage at this price range or even display brightness. Very impressive stuff on the hardware side once again. Whats disappointing with Poco is the cameras and the software updates(and bloatware). Poco is one of the slowest on the update part and HyperOS is just MiUi. The hardware is there, but its once again held back by the software, which is how these devices cost so low. So yeah, Chris is spot on that this is an amazing phone for gaming on this price or for someone that wants a very fast phone for media consumption. If we ignore the headphone jack loss, Poco X6 pro destroyed the Poco F5/Pro.
Planning on getting this phone this week to replace my tired iPhone 11 Pro. I agree with the camera comment though. I think Xiaomi could've put a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide and drop the macro, since it's such a niche feature that not a lot of people use.
@@princessellena1965 Well, I've had the X6 Pro for 5-6 months now and I can confidently say that the only thing I miss from the iPhone 11 Pro is the camera quality. The X6 Pro isn't bad, don't get me wrong; it's an amazing camera for such a well priced phone, but portrait edge detection - for example- isn't as sharp as on the iPhone. It does take some amazing photos with good conditions though, so I'm not really disappointed.
exactly $1k USD on the link, $1,190 in our country and these are official Poco stores. I don't know with them. They usually post pre-orders but not this.
I've had the poco F1, poco f3 and currently using the Poco x4 gt. They've all been brilliant phones and brilliant value. My next phone will probably be this.
Ty for reviewing bang for the buck phones Chris 👍 I have a question tho, do the UI speed/smoothness and the display live up to flagships or is there a considerable gap?
worthy successor of the X3 Pro, almost. headphone jack being gone would have been fine but SD card slot would have made it perfect for me. but also seeing this is a MTK phone, I'm holding my breath for any actual 3rd party development since this is running HyperOS
Hey man, been watching you since the Redmi Note 5 AI, Redmi S2 videos. Really appreciate your sincerity when it comes to these reviews. Keep it up man!
I wonder if the Passwords and Security - Authorisation and Revocation - msa (off) still works for ads as on my Poco F2 Pro. There were also 2 or 3 ads off settings somewhere via a Google search.
Just wanna say 2 critics.. the 8 megapixel ultrawide its quite useless nowadays.. just give us a wider 12mm or 15mm ONE SINGLE MAIN CAMERA.. plus nobody uses 2 megapixels macro.. we been sick of it for years..
😈 Motherboard Killer 😈 Poco has finally launched a killer phone... Hope there will be no Display burning issue , heating issues and Motherboard Buring Issues in Poco X6 Pro & Poco X6.. Here I am waiting for Iqoo Neo 9 Pro which will lauch very soon..
Nice 👍. I hope u can help me decide on this: Is there an improvement in hardware like the display, speakers and haptic area compared to an older gen like the Poco F3? Ty
Id like to know if you have noticed any changes concerning lockscreen customization compared to miui. when I watched videos about hyper os I've seen completely different lockscreens with lots of cool settings.(?)
Hey Chris! Great review as always! So the main camera sensor is decent? Some reviewers say it's good, other say it's not 'reliable'. I see only the ultrawide in the CONS section. Thanks so much!
Yeah it's only good in perfect conditions it's actually very hit and miss. Cameras are not great with this model. It's about the screen and performance over everything else.
Having recently cracked the glass beck of my Xperia 10iii I'm now of the opinion that all phones should have a plastic or vegan leather back. One less glass surface to worry about
The poco line is worth the price, tho the only thing I personally dislike is the design, specifically the Poco logo they always print on the back, other than that it's a well-rounded phone.
I suggest, from experience, to spend less on smartphones and more on apps. This helps with usability and learning, and getting most out of a modern computing device. Application Software is more useful than menus and settings of a smartphone, whether costing 200 USD or 2000 USD, these work the same way and do the same things and even a good budget smartphone will also suffice one's needs. And like any tool, being careful with a smartphone and using it in a meaningful way for positive gains, not for engaging the mind and wasting life's energies.
I don't understand ads in the Xiaomi phones these days. I understood it back then when they were (supposedly) doing it to cover the cost of selling a high end hardware with at a low end price. But I'm sure Xiaomi has made more than enough to completely remove ads from their phones these days. They're not the (again, supposedly) that "software company that happens to make hardware too" type company anymore. Their phones are one of the best selling phones especially in Asia and they have physical stores and service centers now. This is just pure greed.
The margins are very low in the mid to low-cost sectors, and I suspect if they make profits, it is minimal due to the price war. That is why Apple doesn't try too hard, as there is no upside. Ads mean that they can lower the price.
Thanks for the excellent presentation but I really didn't get the price point? How much is this phone? I'm watching from POCO X3 Pro, NOT really looking to upgrade yet.
What would you suggest between this and the Redmi Note 13 pro 5G (not +)? I'm not a fan of mobile gaming but the redmi is 50€ more although with what looks to me a considerably better camera. Not that i would make massive use of it but it's nice to take some shots here and there. Kinda torn between these two.
if the camera is important to you, you should buy the redmi note 13 pro 5g for 2 reasons: 1)the main camera uses a samsung sensor vs the x6 pro which uses an omnivision one 2)to maximise image quality you should use a modified google camera app on a custom rom. mediatek chips can have issues with gcam as elucidated by celso azevedo, "Assuming you did everything right (tested all package names and made sure that the auxiliary cameras setting is enabled), it's possible that your phone completely blocks access to all cameras. Unfortunately some brands (eg: OPPO, Realme) are very restrictive and using a special package name doesn't work. Other brands allow access on some, but not all hardware. For example, OnePlus devices with Snapdragon SoC/processors allow users to access all cameras (with a package name) while OnePlus devices with Mediatek don't (eg: many of the OnePlus Nord phones). The only fix for this is to use a custom ROM not based on the stock/original ROM (eg: ColorOS, OxygenOS, MIUI, etc) as they don't limit access or need specific package names."
Could use some advice Currently contemplating between the poco x6 pro vs 13t pro. What really sways me over to the 13t pro are the much better cameras and the 16gb ram/1tb rom option My main concern besides price are gaming performance, cameras, battery life. From your review of both phones. It seems like the 13t pro is the better phone overall, which for the higher price you would hope so. However did anything change about the heating issues? Like Im coming from a X3 Pro which also got a bit toasty while playing genshin, so I'm guess im kinda used to it in worst case. The USB 2 situation shouldn't bother too much as I rarely move files? Battery Life accourding to your test was better on the 13t pro? 11h vs 10h 11min Which is weird as many reviewers complained about the 13t pros "mediocre" battery life while praising the x6 pros. One big issue as someone who wants to daily drive the phone for at least 3-4 years is that the 13t pro uses a Li Polymer Battery which seems to degrade more rapidly than the other LI Ion ones like the x6 pro uses. My x3 pro also has polymer and now my battery has degraded so much it can't last a day anymore. So this is a big concern of mine.
I bought the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ over 3 months ago for $329. To replace my Poco X3 GT had it for over 2 years. Now I'm thinking about buying the Redmi K70E same as the Poco X6 Pro for a second phone. On sale now for $329. Great Deal. I live in Chicago USA.
actually I had a poco x3 pro..that was dead 1 yr ago any poco x3 pro users?? the main problem of poco x series is they are giving high performance chipset inside but melting of Soldering paste used in Cpu it is of Cheap Quality result of which it can't withstand high temperature for long period of time.
this is an indian only problem. a friend of mine bought 5 american market and 5 indian market poco X3 pros and 4 of the indian ones died, none of the american ones
X4Pro & X5Pro has stunning design, X6 Pro looks like M series design. No headphone jet and mSD slot is a deal breaker. Think will go for M series models that include 2 SIMs + 1mSD slots type, not even the hybrid 2 SIMs or 1 SIM+1mSD type will be considered.
If you're into an upper midrange all-rounder, go for 13T but if you're into just gaming without the flagship chipset, X6 Pro is a preferable option. But still, go for 12T Pro for gaming & decent main camera.
Will this brick or have touch issues like the X3 pro -.- My x3 pro just got rekt after less than 2 years... I'm still going to give poco a chance simply because of the price to features (5g at this pricepoint and a good processor too). But that X3 pro experience left a sour taste in my mouth for POCO
Majority of the bricked x3 pros were Indian made or Indian version not international ones like the above comment like mine as well If it was international then it was just pure luck chance My issue with new poco is bootloader unlock requires gold xiaomi member tier that takes 1-2 years
Hiya. In your own personal experience and opinion which phone has better display (accurate colours)and better camera system (better skin tones, dynamic range, video recording, etc.): Poco X6 or the Galaxy A34? Or should I just get the X6 Pro model?
@@Techtablets I heard the Poco X6 will receive the new Hyper OS update soon which apparently is much lighter and has better performance. But as you said it's the issue of which UI you prefer.
No audio jack n no SD card slot are the only reasons that hold me back from buying it. Like speakers went dead on my X3 so I can use headphones. N Bluetooth headphones have delays.
I used to own a Poco X3, and it's still in my possession. Presently, I've switched to the Realme 9 Pro Plus, a fantastic camera phone in the 20k price range. Despite its impressive features, the Realme 9 Pro Plus's small screen size makes me uneasy. As a result, I'm contemplating the Poco X6 Pro as my upcoming phone choice.
Sir many people like to have smartphones with small screen like Samsung Galaxy S22 and iPhone 12 Mini. Why don't you like small screen smartphones and why do they make you uneasy?

@@chucknorris8704 thanks. now i see it, $303 with an online store here.
It's exactly 1000 because it's just a temp price point for its release. The actual price will be $360 for the best version and under.
My poco x5 pro works pretty well so I assume poco x6 pro should be good too.
The speed is determined by the chipset (which is good in X6 and great for Pro) and it's using the fresh HyperOS, so it should be great.
@@justjuniorjawCome on, HyperOS is MIUI with a face wash...
It's flagship level smooth 100%
@@Techtablets great! Tnx a ton
The catch is the cameras and the build quality.
The phone gets old rapidly.
However, it still a good value for what it brings.
worthy successor of the X3 Pro, almost. headphone jack being gone would have been fine but SD card slot would have made it perfect for me.
but also seeing this is a MTK phone, I'm holding my breath for any actual 3rd party development since this is running HyperOS
Top notch review as always, chris has never steered me wrong
Hey man, been watching you since the Redmi Note 5 AI, Redmi S2 videos. Really appreciate your sincerity when it comes to these reviews. Keep it up man!
Great reviews as always. I'd still like to see 30 seconds dedicated to the official software and security support for the phones being reviewed.
You can easily block all the ads in the Ui with the adguard private dns method
Why didn't they use the finger print at the side, it was so nice and fast on the previous models! Why change something that is already good?
I wonder if the Passwords and Security - Authorisation and Revocation - msa (off) still works for ads as on my Poco F2 Pro. There were also 2 or 3 ads off settings somewhere via a Google search.
Great unboxing and hand on review as always Chris Sir
Thank you kindly
You didn't turn on fps meter in developer options. And slide edge game turbo fps meter was fake.
Just wanna say 2 critics.. the 8 megapixel ultrawide its quite useless nowadays.. just give us a wider 12mm or 15mm ONE SINGLE MAIN CAMERA.. plus nobody uses 2 megapixels macro.. we been sick of it for years..
So I'm wondering which phones at its price point have better performance in gaming?
You know since you said it's not "the" best..
Iqoo neo 9 i guess.
To add to the conversation, theres also the infinix gt 10 pro for around $250
@@gbnmoderator7625 thats much worse
For gaming ofcuz it's good...but the camera and design is so fxck up
The version with yellow vegan leather of the Poco X6 Pro is beautiful and feels more premium.
gonna go for the Honor X50 Pro of Poco F6 /Pro this year. u gonna review the Honor X50 pro, Chris?
Is the phone getting hot after casual/intense tasks? How is the temperature on this New processor?
😈 Motherboard Killer 😈 Poco has finally launched a killer phone...
Hope there will be no Display burning issue , heating issues and Motherboard Buring Issues in Poco X6 Pro & Poco X6..
Here I am waiting for Iqoo Neo 9 Pro which will lauch very soon..
Nice 👍. I hope u can help me decide on this: Is there an improvement in hardware like the display, speakers and haptic area compared to an older gen like the Poco F3? Ty
Higher resolution display, worth it imo
protective foil from production is there on screen?
You can turn those security scan off with all the advertisement in the settings.
Id like to know if you have noticed any changes concerning lockscreen customization compared to miui. when I watched videos about hyper os I've seen completely different lockscreens with lots of cool settings.(?)
can you tell me which apps you use for testing please 😢
Good to know! Thanks @@Techtablets
@@Techtabletsso the weakest part of this phone is the camera?
Mine arrives today, I didn't know the yellow one had a leather finish on the back.
What location is this on the UK? Didn't know you guys had tropical locations near any coastal regions.
It's Spain, Med coast.
Hi Bro! Could you tell me if this device supports MHL, even if it is just for screen mirroring?
Fabulous phone. Only dislike is there is no expandable storage. Have no use for 2 sim cards, what's the point.
Ye they need to make that logo smaller so it streamlines more into the phones design.
Any chance you could do a gaming review with emulation games? Curious if it can run Switch games well?
true, but i don't remember he ever done emulation test
mediatek doesnt support emulator, youre in the wrong spot. i suggest poco f5 cause it has dragon thingy
@@jakabudiman5124 youre wrong. It does support it.
3:00 is the main sensor the OmniVision 64B again, that main camera sensor that Poco has been using non-stop everywhere since 2021
Lol
Every time there is a 2mp macro lens I know that I don't even want to waste my time watching/reading about the phone 😢
Amazing. Forget that X5 that was released 6 months ago now there is a new phone. Of course updates go with it.
Thanks for the excellent presentation but I really didn't get the price point? How much is this phone? I'm watching from POCO X3 Pro, NOT really looking to upgrade yet.
$339 for 512gb
About 310 euros.
Can you install Gcam and will that improve things?
You can yes.
What about Motherboard issues in X6 series, are they fixed that problem in this series or not yet?
indian market issue
Idk but it's not happen in my country..
I suggest you to buy overseas because the motherboard issue only happened on India manufactured x/m 3 series
What would you suggest between this and the Redmi Note 13 pro 5G (not +)?
I'm not a fan of mobile gaming but the redmi is 50€ more although with what looks to me a considerably better camera.
Not that i would make massive use of it but it's nice to take some shots here and there.
Kinda torn between these two.
if the camera is important to you, you should buy the redmi note 13 pro 5g for 2 reasons:
1)the main camera uses a samsung sensor vs the x6 pro which uses an omnivision one
2)to maximise image quality you should use a modified google camera app on a custom rom. mediatek chips can have issues with gcam as elucidated by celso azevedo, "Assuming you did everything right (tested all package names and made sure that the auxiliary cameras setting is enabled), it's possible that your phone completely blocks access to all cameras.
Comparison with the Redmi note 13 pro maybe?
Very well detailed review. Thanks.
Very helpful for us considering this phone.
Glad to help!
Would you choose this Poco or Honor Magic 6 lite ? I am wanting to buy one of these. Thanks for your answer :)
Poco X6 Pro
X6 pro bro
Watching on my poco x3 pro, satisfied now to buy this, its on early bird discount, maybe 40-50 bucks of discount
Could use some advice
Currently contemplating between the poco x6 pro vs 13t pro.
What really sways me over to the 13t pro are the much better cameras and the 16gb ram/1tb rom option
My main concern besides price
are gaming performance, cameras, battery life.
11h vs 10h 11min
Which is weird as many reviewers complained about the 13t pros "mediocre" battery life while praising the x6 pros.
Should i buy this Poco or Samsung a35?
I can play in 60fps for hours in my Neo 3, cant image how much this one is better
So the X6 Pro is better?
Very nice review! This seems like it could be a better buy than the upcoming Poco F6!
@ahmedsh1557 that'll be the F6 Pro

I just ordered this from Amazon I hope the charger has a American plug.

Poco X6 but then I prefer the Samsung OneIU over MIUI for POCO.
@@Techtablets I heard the Poco X6 will receive the new Hyper OS update soon which apparently is much lighter and has better performance. But as you said it's the issue of which UI you prefer.
