Congrats on the watch... couple of things. Reference is wrong. You have a small crown between Swiss and made = 126622. Also it’s a 72 hours power reserve now NOT 48. It’s not a divers watch because divers watch has a uni directional bezel. The bezel is made from platinum. Wear it in good health.
I suspect this will be discontinued in the next year or two, especially the rhodium dial with light blue hands. Similar to the 39mm OP rhodium. It will be a collective item.
Beautiful piece. I will be purchasing one myself with the platinum dial.. this definitly is one of the top 5 models in my opinon.. & i like the fact that its overlooked.. gives it mystery.

I was regularly going into the store and meeting with my Sales guy at the AD, even just going in for a chat, building rapport and making sure they knew who I was and remembered who I was - a lot of people think putting their name down and then disappearing is going to get them a watch - unfortunately, the AD will just forget about you and offer the next one to someone else. Seems like a bit of a chore but it was an opportunity to talk watches and try pieces on, so actually a nice way to spend an hour or so. I also had a story behind my purchase, I was buying it to signify my big promotion at work.
Can you do an update vid on how the watch wears after 2 years? like how the bezel holds up to scratches etc. I was in the market for this watch but not sure how it will hold the look for daily wearing?
@@stephenn88 I did and i got mine this March. Once you saw it in-person, all the bezel anxiety went away lol. In fact i found the more scratches the more characteristic can be tied to this watch. It’s almost like a yacht that keeps getting older, with traces of time can be found on those bezels.
I bought this piece in Nov 19 at retail for £9,060. The best investment given it also has platinum bezel! I think it might discontinue within 2 years. My prediction is by 2022, it will go up to £15k.
I have my stainless steel submariner but it needed service during Covid and I felt naked without it. I stumbled upon this Yachtmaster and lucky enough to find one available but it’s a 116 so it has a slightly less power reserve than the newer model. Still it’s my favorite watch of the two, sleaker and less bulky than the submariner and the rhodium dial with blue second hand and polished platinum bezel with polished center links on the band make this model much sexier and the fact that it’s the refined submariner but for people that don’t actually dive and dressier but still not flashy makes it the Rolex for the guy who knows watches. I call it smoke on the water for its grey dial and design as a nautical timepiece. Feels nicer on the wrist than the submariner too.
This watch is the offspring of a Nautilus and Submariner. It doesn’t have the history of the submariner but you’re correct, it’s handsome and a sleeper

No, thankfully not. I was buying that watch, short after Lockdown, all the ADs were very friendly out of blue sky, cause there were no tourists that bought many watches. I waited 4 weeks around, and it was my first order with that Rolex Store
Yeah it's so "underrated" that every time you see this watch there are a million comments saying "this is so underrated, I Iove it" - bullshit is this watch still "underrated"
1 minute into the video and I notice I couldn’t see the quality correctly , after the watch reveal I checked and the video has a max resolution of 480p. This is awful how can you review a £10k+ watch and not do it in HD

There is only 70 hours power reserve, not 72.

I collected mine last week.....I'm absolutely loving it. The 'slate' dial with the ice blue secondhand is mesmerizing. It's my second Rolex.
How long did you wait? I have ordered a submariner, they told me I will probably wait 24 months until the watch arrives

Nice watch, I also have skinny wrists so this is one of the better sports watch. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Yacht master is not diving watch, it is sailing watch and bezel is meant to be used to calculate time between two buoys. Nevertheless beautiful watch
