Thanks forr showing this. I've got a '99 that I've been wanting to get some bigger tires for. You're one of the few people actually showing how the truck looks after new tires are on
im glad you enjoyed it. this tire size is perfect for dakota trucks. thanks! :)
So if a 32" barely works on a dakota sport if say 31 10 50s should work on a v6 reg cab 4wd then. Askin for a friend named me
these 10 ply E-rated tires support 80psi, but they were inflated to 45psi for ride comfort in this light truck. might test 50 psi later. impressive winter traction
The new tires are a huge improvement, getting ready to put 32's on my 02 Quad cab Dakota but 265 width, and crank the torsion bars a little bit. Then its flowmaster 40 exhaust so they can here me coming and get out of the way, LOL.
sounnds like a fun combo. i ran these duratracs through almost 2ft of snow quite effortlessly. the ones i removed were not bad general grabber AT2 but i wanted something bigger. i actually sold the old ones as well because they were still great condition.
Can you please post open shot pics of how the car looks? Profile. Front and back? Thank you man!
Unfortunately I sold this truck a few years back. I might have photos somewhere
The 16 inch wheels are different from the black 15 inch wheels but the black ones have straight spokes and the silver ones have sloped design spokes
yes good eye. mostly i just wated the larger diameter but yes the spokes are slightly different as well
I almost put grabbers on my tacoma, but went with duratracs. They are awesome tires.
I agree, they performed very well during the off road snow test.
Just coming across your channel brother as I own a Dakota quad cab as well. Very Interesting and informative as I purchased tires from a 2019 Ram. Just need spacers for the bolt pattern but I think It should fit as they are 275/65/R18 ‘s
yeah you'll likely need bolt-on spacers either way, at least 1.5" to avoid inner rubbing because 275's are wider.
2" I recommend I had to do lots of trimming on my truck to fit 275 18"s
Thanks for the video it was a real help
🙏🏽😎
im thinking of getting a 3in torsion key lift and block for my 2000 dakota and thinking putting 33s on it
😎👍🏽
Good video. I was wondering what tires to install on my 02’ Dakota since they are worn. It’s a 2wd so I want to put tires on that add more traction and value as well as a slight increase in height. These look awesome. They give me a good idea on what I want to do. Thanks for the videos
awesome, thanks. i really like the goodyear duratracs and this size is often overlooked but theyre a bit narrow which helps with fitment. thanks for watching :)
Just crank the torsion bars up, poor man's leveling kit. That's all I've got done to my K15 and it makes it look like it's lifted.
Hoser's Garage I had considered that, and I might. The rig seems to sit almost level already, just slightly lower in the front as usual. Otherwise I could crank the factory tbars and just do small blocks in the rear. The whole lift kit is pretty cheap aside from shipping and intl exchange, but installing the re-index'd tbar keys could be tricky. Ive heard of +2" by cranking the factory ones...
Where’d you buy those headlights they look real good
I believe they are “spec-D” headlights. They have a cool low beam projector and halos 😎 they actually came on the truck when I bought it came that way. I added a bumper mounted light bar later but I think the headlights are “spec D Tuning” brand and they are affordable 😎👍🏽
I’m putting these pizza cutters on my Dakota ASAP!
💪🏽😎👍🏽
I have a 4x4 1998 dodge dakota looms kinda lifted that's how I got it I was wondering what's the biggest size of tires can I get on 15 rim I was thinking 31.10.5r15 or 31x12.5r15.????
these ones i installed were 32's but they are narrow , tall and narrow, only 8" wide. i know you can fit 32's for sure maybe 33s but watch the width. might need offset wheels or spacers with 10"wide. not sure. i would highly recommend this size here 235/85/16
No rubbing or trimming fenders needed??
I had no issues that’s mainly why I chose the narrow 235 but with the tall 85 profile . It’s a tall but narrow tire with a 32” diameter, great for winter or mud with very little or zero hydroplane, and possibly easier on suspension components compared to a fatter tire of similar diameter
Ok I have a 2000 dodge Dakota it’s a 2wd it’s not a 4x4 and I want tires that I can drive through mud, snow, rain etc with great traction and I need some advice. Any thoughts?
Jalen Nichols is recommend pretty much any ALL TERRAIN tire , not to be confused with all season. Cooper AT3, Duratrac, General grabber AT2, or anything similar , with 32” or less overall diameter 🤷🏽♂️
MrJohn613 Budget Builds ok what about a level kit
Hello, i have a Dodge Dakota, 2002. I would like to buy offroad rims and tires for the Dakota. I live in Switzerland and unfortunately here is nothing suitable for the Dakota. Can any of you gusy help me where to buy the tires in the US? Thanks :-)
Try tirerack.com 🤷🏽♂️
What'd U do with the Black Rims? I NEED THEM.
I sold the 15’s on kijiji with the General Grabber AT2 tires for cheap, the guy was glad to get them and I upgraded to 16’s.
😎👍🏽
