"Up in the Air" (Three's Company)
Season 6, Episode 25
Written by: Shelley Zellman
Directed by: Dave Powers
Terri (Priscilla Barnes) convinces Janet (Joyce Dewitt) to take Jack (John Ritter) to a fancy party in order to make another man (Barry Williams) jealous. But the party is on an island and Jack is afraid to fly. So Larry (Richard Kline) gives Jack some tranquelizers for the flight.
At the party, Jack is still loopy from the pills and makes matters worse when he combines it with an energy drink... leading him to dance the night away.
This episode is considered a favorite amongst the Three's Company cast, including Ritter himself.

IMHO, John Ritter was, and remains, a treasure of humanity.
I agree. It was a bad day when he passed away.
I totally agree! I was devastated when he died so young. He was awesome!
I worked in Los Angeles when he passed away, and people were noticeably depressed. Everyone knew him to be a great person.
Yes
Absolutely
John Ritter was brilliant. Glad Threes Company reruns are always around somewhere.
The movie "Hero at Large" was another John Ritter gem from my childhood.
Man, my childhood is filled with so much John Ritter.
Sincerely sad that he passed so young.
Love seeing any backstage footage from classic TV shows. The reason Ritter was so great at physical comedy is that he was able to act the fool, but still come off as the coolest person in the room.
I remember seeing that episode in reruns many years after watching the original on tv and being disappointed because I knew there was more to that dance scene.
Such a shame
Poignant.
Nicely done.
This is probably my favorite episode ever. Even though I didn't grow up with this show IFC still shows reruns on Wednesdays so when I channel surf I always check if I see some of my favorite episodes.
John Ritter you were the greatest! We ALL miss you !
This episode was the GOAT. As a physical comedian, John Ritter was the best. I was so bummed the day he died. He died way too soon. One of my all time favorite actors and shows.
This is great stuff. I freaking love this channel. John Ritter was the man. He seemed like a really great guy too.
Thanks!
Another great piece! Three's Company is among my all-time favorites, and this episode was John Ritter doing what he did best. He took three words in a script and turned them into a tour de force performance. The man was brilliant and his loss still hurts. 😥
Thank you! Mine too!
This series is great. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!! I’ll try.
One of the best episodes ever.
Any time this episode is on I watch it. It genuinely is one of the finest half hours in sitcom history.
Fantastic work!
( great video )
Thank you for the In depth information ℹ️ about John Ritter
Thank you for watching!
@@tvsbesteps I wish I was alive to see him win 🏅 an Emmy and I only know this show from the Nick at nite reruns
Better than not knowing him at all!
@@tvsbesteps Correct ✅
Very well done, thank you, this will always be a fantastic favorite of mine
Thank you for watching!
Back when there was actually something to watch on TV…
This was really well put together, keep up the great work.
There will never be another one like John Ritter!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job 👏 love Ritter
Thanks. Me too!
I’m gutted the America had the gift that was John Ritter. We in the UK only got to see him in movies with Skin Deep being my personal favourite from then to now. He was a true comic genius that we lost way too soon
Just found this channel. I’m very verrry excited to dive in. Viva la T.V!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@tvsbesteps keep going. It must be hard work.
YOUR CHANNEL IS AWSOME ❤😊
Thanks! So are you!
I miss John so bad. He was hilarious 😂
Nice Job! This video came up on my New to You feed this evening. Just subscribed! Looking forward to more great content from you.
Thanks for the sub!
Okay, the one about the camping trip - watching it I was thinking that they could have at least TRIED to make the ground under the hammock look a little less like spongey foam! Haha!
I always thought the John Ritter was so cute as Jack Tripper.
The guy Janet was trying to make jealous was Greg Brady!! 😮
Henry Winkler and John Ritter.....the most likeable men in Hollywood.
What happened? Things really do suck now. RIP, America.
I wonder if he ever got hurt doing the physical comedy. It looks dangerous lol
Oh jeez no one told me jiggle was out. Was it more like Somers wanted more money
Why are Streaming Services cutting random content of old sitcoms? If they are showing a version that was edited by them (i.e., to avoid paying royalties for music; to facilitate shoving more ads into the same show time; to perform mass psychological analysis via the logging of and experimentation with people's reactions to different versions of the same episode; or just following the whims of the Christian right or some arbitrary management dork).. then why don't they have to disclose it? BACK In the day i tell ya, If a VHS/DVD was edited or even just chopped down from widescreen format, they had to tell you, didn't they? And get this: _THEY_ had to tell _YOU_ the EXACT REASON! Except Blockbuster Video didn't disclose that they removed a lot of content from movies rented at their stores.... usually the "T&A", you know... the "jiggles"... or as my parents would call it: "Love Scenes". Now I wonder what they removed and why. I mean, look, I never got to see the "Love Scene" when I rented 'Dolomite' and it could have been life-changing! .. Why the hell would they even carry Dolomite anyway? I guess I was just trending like a hipster when I was 18. Well thanks.. "Blockbuster".... or no thanks... or maybe, "thanks.. or am i?" WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Especially a difference if you lived somewhere within 15 miles of no other video stores. but if you were renting a video game you were usually better off going to blockbuster.. i think! HAHA! Couldn't edit those puppies...
I love when stuff like this comes up so the "you couldn't do that on TV these days!" crowd can see people being offended by something isn't some new fad.
@9:00 I'm thinking John D Miller should go back and watch other classic acts like WC Fields and Red Skelton before opinionating on what's appropriate for comedy. Maybe he just meant for broadcast television comedy but that comment makes it sound like he was underqualified to even formulate an objective critique.
Twice before 4:30 you call the wrong woman "Chrissy". Once to Cindy and once to Janet.
The UK Janet character was named Chrissy. Also it was Jack and Chrissy who got handcuffed not Cindy.
