    Useful video. Far better than paper instructions, but still took me 2 hours.

    Please don’t forget to replace the “door closing sensor” as well, the video doesn’t show at 4:40-4:50, but there is a sensor and if you don’t place it correctly THE BEEPING SOUND (as if the door is open) will continue while the door is closed. The sensor should be closer to the turning point.

    This was pretty easy... didn't need to drill like the others are saying.. just poked through the very, very thin plastic covering with an ink pen... easy peasy.. All the extra parts were there as well...

    Good video all apart from the plastic cover for the top door hinge, which ever way i tried to get it to fit, it would not sit right, ended up cutting bits off it

    I like how the cables that went inside that door went from the protective white cover from being in the middle to being on the outside on the end result.

    I have a samsung fridge, the door magnet no longer connects, so i guess the best option is to just switch the door over to the other side, however I am fairly sure I had another part which was mirrored the top part on the door, but not sure, can you use the same part or do you need a new part for this which is mirrored ?

    We bought the US version of this and at 4:06 when they are screwing in the hinge -- ours has no pre-drilled holes! LOL. Guess no one QA'd before it left the factory. We even bought two of them as they are convertible freezers or fridges. Both have the same exact issue. aye yey yey

    • @surina777
      @surina777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fdepaola I contacted Samsung and they deemed it "defective" and offered me a full refund. But you will see others have drilled through the plastic themselves and found the threaded holes. Yes, you should not have to do this yourself -- but after doing a bit of research on samsung refrigerator issues in general...I'm not surprised they have an issue with their manufacturing.

      I found the answer. We have to because while using one side magnet is stronger, once wr reverse the door stronger magnet will stay another side and it will cause the air leaking.

    Good and helpful video although makes every step look much easier than it is. My fridge also doesn’t have drill holes in the bottom of it on the desired side so I’m having to improvise and drill my own. Very disappointing.

    • @surina777
      @surina777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have that same issue! Did drilling the holes work out well? We even had a samsung pro come do a warranty call on it to figure out the issue and they were stumped as well but did not want to drill in for fear of causing damage. We are waiting on samsung engineering to contact us. Are you in the US?

      @@neilread1 thank you for this advice...I'm still waiting on samsung to reply about this as I don't want my warranty voided if this is done. In fact I'd rather have the samsung pro back to come do it. It's quite amazing they advertise the freezers as reversible doors but then sounds like this issue is not isolated. Sounds like it stems from the factory itself.

    It's stupid that you have to tilt the fridge. The bottom hinge should be changeable from the front. Samsung please improve the User Experience of your fridge products. The reversing process is terrible and unthought.

      Had a nightmare changing the door hinges on my new Samsung fridge today. Not happy in the least!! Instructions were useless, plastic trim was a disaster to remove without damaging and this video made it look a breeze.
      @SAMSUNG If you are going to produce videos at least be honest with the end user as to how awkward your products actually are!! So my fridge was less than 1 hour old when I ended up putting scratches on the plastic blanking caps trying to remove them with something thin yet strong. Properly miffed with the experience!!!

      Hello I'm having a similar problem. My wire cover keeps popping up on the hinge side when I close the door.
      It says down fine with the door open but as soon as I close the door it pops up again.
      Do you find when you have your fridge door open that you can hold door and it moves up a bit?

    • @butler12uk
      @butler12uk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@markdanny1908 i had this problem. I realised after checking there is another plastic 'spacer' component on the underside of the fridge door that you need to unscrew and move over to the opposite side (although i didn't see this in the instructions!)
      This adds a few millimetres and stops the top door cover popping off.

    Samsung if you are going to do instruction video then DO NOT MAKE CUTS IN CRUCIAL MOMENTS. I'm unable to fit my cover on upper hinge and on 6:08 mark you made a cut and this cover magically appear on the spot. How did he fit it there? Maybe I'm stupid, but I'm ok with that as long as you provide USEFUL video instruction.
