Lisa, these videos you made are great. Love them. Very educational and help out a lot. Would love a video specifically dedicated to understanding HOA fees and what goes in them. I live in a community in Ohio that has a $200/YEAR HOA fee. These $400/MONTH fees shock us, and we'd like to understand what being covered that we normally pay outside of HOA. I live in a quaint condo villa complex in north Sarasota. Our complex has 195 single story villas, each with it's own carport. The villas are all 2BD- 2 Bath and range in size from 1160 to 1500 sq. feet. Our HOA fees were just raised to $410/month, and include the following: * Exterior maintenance - (they just completed painting all the villa's exteriors. 4 years ago, they re-coated the roofs). * Management, HOA Board * Some basic insurance is covered, but each owner has "condo insurance". * Lawn service, hedge and tree trimming, and leaf blowing, landscaping. * Water, sewer, and trash pick-up * Basic Comcast cable w/ HD * Pool, clubhouse, activities, etc. Most condo HOA fees in Sarasota, are going to run at least $300/month and up. There is value for the price paid, and as much as it does seem a bit expensive, it is what it is.
Just moved in a condo in Wild Oak Bay and wonder if you have a video featuring this neighborhood. I discovered your videos yesterday and have been learning a lot about Sarasota since. Thank you.
I toured Florida during the holidays and Sarasota really stood out to me. The coast, Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch, close proximity to Tampa. Orlando and Miami are also not too far. It just seemed like the right location to me. I only spent a few days in the Tampa area. It seemed to me the first place I want to go back and take a closer look.
Hi Lisa, we’ve been watching your videos since we want to retire to Florida in near future. We saw a home for sale in Amalfi Villas off of Lockwood Ridge, it’s a Neal Community. We would prefer not to be in an area where we hear the traffic. Are you familiar with this particular neighborhood, and if so, can you tell us the noise level? Thank you, Kathrine Gorski
Hi, yes, I am familiar with that neighborhood. There is not a lot of traffic noise but it is in a bit more commercial area. There is development happening around it. If you would like to discuss further feel free to give me a call. 941-373-5880.
FYI - when you flip the video, it's great and I like the shift, but I might change MINDSET book you have in the background. When it flips, you can tell it's printed backwards. Maybe a book with just a picture on it? Regardless, you're a natural with these videos. Thanks!!
I live in a small neighborhood that's juat under South Sarasota but above Vamo and next to Gulf Gates I don't know the name of it but its a nice small neighborhood to live in

I know you can’t cover everything and you want to feature areas where you’ll make the most money, but there are also neighborhoods that aren’t $300k+. We live in a lovely community and our villa was about 250.
My wife and I live in North Port. We moved here to take care of my dad who had cancer at the time. He has since passed. We would love a nicer home with more space. Especially storage space. There are no basements here. Lol!! Also we have a large RV. It is 42' feet long and 12'6" tall. We would love to have a garage and be able to park the RV at home. Do you know if any places like this?
@@LivingInSarasota Yes, we currently have a house in Mineral Springs. I would rather not build a garage and a addition if I don't have to. I would like to stay around $500,000 if possible.
