In most areas of the world to be a security guard one must be a high school drop out. These jobs are for people that refuse to learn and can't make a rational decision. If you can read or write this may not be the job for you.
Some times people like to learn other stuff that has nothing to do with making a living, I like security because its gives me a lot of free time that making me learn about a lot of different subjects, and I think learning one think just to make a living is a waste of time
I'd argue; for someone young like me, it's a great job to really blossom and grow my professional life and transition into what I hope to get into (law enforcement). It's a great way to learn about how to deal with people and certain situations that may arise and gather some connections for professional growth and development. Not to mention, it helped me a lot through college with a decent wage and an easygoing schedule to work days I had off. It's actually also a great job to write reports when needed to further improve on writing (which is crucial for law enforcement officers) and on rare occasions, one of those reports might need to go to court, you may never know. Often, people think security guards are uneducated, but I myself work security, and I've went to school for not only a diploma program, but an advanced program as well. There are more security jobs too within the industry with top notch pay. A lot of the security guards I worked with were either retired and still looking for more work or young and going to school for career advancement, just like me.

Not all Security Companies are a shithole to work for I've been with some really good ones than I've been with some really bad ones . How you figure it out seince I've been a Security Guard for 14 years if they don't offer you $12 an hour or better than there's something wrong with that company expecialy when you're makeing $8.50 , $10.50 I'm making $15 an hour doing the exact same shit your doing that should be enough to tell you something's wrong if they don't offer you $12 or $14 an hour don't take the job . The reason for that is they don't have enough contracts there ate the fuck up a good company always pays more and takes care of there employees. You treat us like that we love you we're happy the employer and the client's are satisfied. You give me some bullshit wage like $8.50 an hour than I'm having to pull at least 2 doubles per week 16 hours and you want to give me some lame ass excuse why your dumbass guard can't show up to relieve me he's a no call no show i quite I'm walking off the job. You won't even get a 2 weeks notice there's your sign fuck me fuck you there's always a better employer out there to work with.
How to apply, 11years here in UAE as a security guard for a royal family.
Do your work with your sia badge ?
Wish I did security :(
What is age limit or retiree age for security guard?
There is no age cut off for Security as long as you're physically fit and you can do your job.
@@Texasmilitarydepartmentvid9654 physically fit? I have seen lot of people that can barely walk do security.
Industry gone to shit. Security is just an easy job option now.
but is not a easy job!
thats why most dont last
depending on the place or establishment where you're assigned, hardest part of my job is dealing with stupid and idiot people and long hours of duty.
😂😂😂👎
@@D95RO standing around in a supermarket definitely ain't a easy job hahaha
Security is alright i deal with mostly homeless sometimes you have to be on your toes with them there dangerous plus i stop car jackings once in a long wile i even stopped a rape once.
Homeless people are halriouse seeing them buming money on the street corner for beer you also have those dickheads who aren't homeless because there to lazy to go to work like the rest of us .
@@Texasmilitarydepartmentvid9654 ya homeless are hilarious I use to be homeless for about 30yrs in all that time I've never done drugs or beg for money. When my food stamps ran out I recycled and used the money to buy my necessitys
Security is just a low skilled job. Certainly nothing to be boasting about. I never tell anyone I am a security guard when asked because I feel embarrassed. But that's probably because I do corporate where theres lots of rich folk that look down on us like worthless crap
JB if you look crap i look worse then I’m like shit I’m a janitor 😕 and working hard to be at least a security guard I live by my own
Dk Muslera I cant even speak English properly and I’m considered best guard according to my company, and honestly being security guard is suk, and I don’t recommend anyone to become guard.

In most areas of the world to be a security guard one must be a high school drop out. These jobs are for people that refuse to learn and can't make a rational decision. If you can read or write this may not be the job for you.
cash storeone Hmm, I’m former military, have a masters degree and make over $90K a year as a security officer in Florida.
A lot of the security guards I worked with were either retired and still looking for more work or young and going to school for career advancement, just like me.
cash storeone I make over 40k a year lol funny that you think that way. I finished high school and currently in college.
@@Cyb3rCl3ric Why would a person with a masters degree be a security guard? You only make 90k a year as well. Does not sound very smart to me. Was your masters degree in recreation?
I was going to be a security guard but I decided to finish High School instead.
And become a bin man.
lmao now you have a diploma. are you gonna eat it?
I finished high school and I'm a security guard, some people just aren't made for it, just like the military, some people make it some don't
