LOL SOO TRUE!! Even with the oil I'm usually not sure I really want to tame one of these ducks lol. I'm sure Bob Ross would adopt it though! He loves all God's little critters. And hey, I'm working on the 900 subscriber special to paint a Brontosaurus right now :D
Oh! Actually any Alpha dinosaur is literally impossible to tame. Some people get an Alpha Raptor (Red Glow) which is untameable, mixed up with a raptor with a pack bonus (orange fire on its back) which can be tamed. When in doubt, RUN lol. I don't even try to kill an Alpha except with my PlantX turrets on my Floating Fortress, and even then it's not really worth the trouble lol.
Ark is really good on Switch and PS4 for different reasons. PS4 Ark has MUCH better graphics, can do split screen multi-player, and has all the awesome expansions now :) I'd recommend getting Ark on PS4 over Ark Switch. Ark Switch is still very fun and is totally portable so playing Ark anywhere is really awesome. So really it's up to how much you want Ark to be portable :)
Oh man Spinos are pretty nasty so I wouldn't mess with them unless you have stone walls protecting you. They're almost as bad as a Tyrannosaur, sometimes worse in the water. If you built a raft-base like mine, and you have Plant Species X turrets, you should be able to take him. th-cam.com/video/8XBT2Y-MAb8/w-d-xo.html This tactic can kill Alphas, but you use up a LOT of fertilizer. Well, if you happen to have access to Ark Genesis, you can sail a raft to the middle of the ocean biome and there are usually 5-10 of them paddling around out there, if you can get there before the sharks. The spot on this guide on The Island is usually pretty good, but anywhere along the Southern coast of the Island map has a decent change to find them. Also Valguero has a lot of them in the huge, safe lake.
