- May have a new favorite wheel in the Outcast 4s dBoots Backflip LP's. Finally tried them on the 6s platform and they RIP!!! I'd decided to start testing the prototype M2C Racing suspension setup with firmer wheels to better compare with the stock ARRMA setup. So far the bladderless M2C system is doing fantastic. Should have a side by side comparison uploaded soon. Big thanks to M2C Racing, Voltage Hobbies, and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

Just got in the M2C and some HR goodies so it's on!💪💪Absolute killer sends and I love the ramps on the berm idea!!😜That was super close with the poles too! That could have been nasty!😁The LP Backflips seem to do killer!! Way better than I expected! I had thought about that when I first got my Outcast 4s but wasn't sure how they'd hold up on 6s but they proved themselves! Hats off bro for trying them out and letting us know! Both rigs looked super dialed especially the Kraton with the M2C shock upgrades! BASH ON my brother!!!😎👌😜✌✌🍻

That's Friggin AWESOME about the M2C chassis and HR goodies 😍!!!! I get so excited about doing builds👀. My V4 Kraton build was a budget salvage session from my old Outcast and V2 Kraton 👌. Yeah I got Super lucky I didn't stack those poles 👀🤣🤣. The LP tires worked KILLER on both rigs👍. Awesome hook up and really nice balance and air control. I actually grabbed a second set I was so impressed 😍. The M2C shock setup is looking great so far. Just a little more testing/tuning and I think we'll be 100% dialed. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Rich😊!!!! I was sending it to make sure the new M2C shock seals were solid 👌. Had just swapped them with a more pliable version. Definitely passed the no leakage test👊. Almost 100% there with testing. I'm thinking this will be a simple, yet Killer option for better handling and control. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Brother 👊!!!! This was a durability check to make sure the M2C shock caps don't leak 👀. We swapped in different seals and they definitely passed the test 👍. Discovering these wheels was a HUGE bonus. It's making testing much easier to get things dialed with less tire bounce. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The ground here is so different that a good 6 to 8 foot jump put a rock through my Granite chassis right under the steering servo and mounting.
Still that is all the damage I have had and I send her good.

FINALLY THE DUBERBASH 411 ON THE DBOOTS LP'S! Thank you very much for finally making a vid about what I've been thinking should be a perfect basher tire... the backflip LP's. I cant tell you how many times I've looked to try and find a decent example of not comparison to the O.G. backflips and since they were released I've been holding out up about 45 mins ago when I finally just pulled the trigger. Needless to say that theres really no comparison vid necessary now that they have been given the RD stamp of approval no doubt. I'm really hoping you see this and can find time to respond Rich, as I just ordered the LP's w/o the wheels as I have some old outcast stock wheels without tires to use and I honestly was curious to know what you were thinking as to wether or not they should simply be vented apposed to taped & vented but assuming you mentioned barely any ballooning... that said I may just order the full set premounted but any of your thoughts/opinion etc on the subject would be absolutely appreciated buddy. Had a feeling that after you said you loved the kraton 4x4 1/10 tires i was really hoping you were going to give these new LP's a shot as they just seemed to have a bit less sidewall than the originals and although I love the backflips I thought these would make for a better "go to" set of bashers for almost all of my/arrmas 1/8 scale rigs. I was also looking to invest in set of tires such as the katara for example as set for some better on road/off road mix without braking the bank, as always any sll info really means alot but either way thanks for taking the time to do what you do. Hope all is well and happy belated fathers day. Now off to rewatch your differential vids to refresh & grab the part #s you shared as I'm in full blown maintenance mode.

These wheels are BADASS on the 6s platform 👌. It looks like they used a medium density foam if I'm not mistaken 🤔. I definitely recommend venting them like all basher's. Ballooning is not an issue at all with the shorter sidewall. Pretty certain you'll dig these LP's 👍. They hook up Killer and the handling is on point. I'm thinking they're a perfect fit 😍👍👍😎💪👊👊

I almost feel repetitive for saying it again but killer video brother! Your videos are always a blast to watch and always informative. 😂 I am loving the LP Backflips. I am running a set on my ET48.3 and one of my MT410. They are amazing tires. I actually like the 3.8 Badlands on the 4S outcast better with the lower weight and offset. I think the LP backflip are the tires I’ve been wanting for so long. Something in between the original backflips and the 3.8 badlands.

Totally understand how the backflip LP would work well on this platform, less unsprung mass, good tread pattern. Massive wheels look cool when you are parked up but are a liability unless trying to get over objects at low speed.

You bet Brother 👊!!!! The stock ARRMA rod ends kinda suck to be 100% honest 🤣🤣. Make sure you set your droop screws so they aren't getting tugged on. The Tekno rod ends and steel pivot balls are much better. The ARRMA Nero HD rod ends are even beefier 👀🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Mostly plastic but they flex and take a serious beating. The telescopic tower brace is a HUGE plus on the 4s rigs 💪. Has the perfect amount of give. Parts are cheap and they haul ass 😜. Love the modular design and how the diffs are locked into place 👌. Ingenious design. Just had my Kraton 4s out again with the Badlands 3.8's. Trying a Hobbystar 3674 2650kv with BLX185 👀. Couldn't get full throttle, but didn't need to either. 👍👍😎💪👊👊

What lube/grease should I use for the external side of the diffs. Inside the gearbox. Will any old white lithium grease do the trick?
I love the Backflips, they transformed my Kraton 4S. I wanna pick up a set for my Talion as well. Running ProLine Trenchers now I think thee 2&1/2 Inch. I love them but the backflips just give so much more control and it never hurts to have 2 sets of a good thing anyway.

Man, this week I'm getting my first 6s after a couple of 3s Arrmas.... It's killing me.trying to decide between Talion or Kraton... I'll be on mixed terrain mainly, and smaller jumps than yours, but an occasional launch... I just want the more fun one that's durable too... My brother has a Notorious... I'm leaning towards the Talion as it seems a bit more fast and fun but IDK, will it handle the bashing like the Kraton?

How do the dboots backflips compare to the stock talion v4 tires in dimensions? Are they just as wide or smaller in diameter?

Thanks so much Brother 😜. She's got the same arms as the Kraton. With wider Kraton hubs, hexs, and stub axels, you add an extra inch of total width 👍. Can also add +5mm M2C universal hexs for even more width. 😎💪👊👊
Man!!! You are amazing at sending that sucker!! OK another question for you. So apparently I suck pretty bad at jumping. so far I’ve broken the front short Rod ends on both my Shocks. The left one, in one bash session, And then the other one on the next session. I’ve ordered the RPM short Rod ends. I’ve also tweaked/bent my rear shock tower on the left side slightly canted inward. Makes me want to snag new ones from voltage. I was able to remove the back shocks And the spoiler then throw it in my vise grip upside down and gently bend it back, looks better now. So now I’ve been back at watching tube videos on proper techniques and advice on how to jump utilizing my gas and brakes.
So here’s my question… Should I be going in and disabling my drag brake? I’m learning that’s a feature that comes standard with many RC cars where is soon as you let off the gas it automatically breaks. Does V4 kraton come stock with that feature activated. It seems so. Do you disable that? Should I?

After looking into it, my esc does not have an option for drag break. That said...What setting do you like your breaks at 37% or 50%?
Also when you tested the stock (new) spectrum remote, before you shelved it. It’s all I have so I have to use it. Why don’t you use it. What makes it worse, other than its cheap feel, or is that it? Lastly, since it (the spectrum remote) has a throttle dial native to the remote, do I need to worry about tweaking the punch setting in the esc? I think stock it’s set at 4. But can go all the way up to 9. Should I (do you?) up that sucker to 9?
Besides the STX2 controller feeling ergonomically awkward in the hand, I simply hated the light trigger and wheel spring tension😝. The reverse throw also seemed way too short. I tune my rigs to feel 100% confident and enjoy care free bashing 😊. Can't explain it perfectly, but felt a disconnect using that cheap ass remote 🤣🤣. These AWESOME 6s rigs simply deserve better 👀. I usually run 37% brake and punch 9 on all my stock BLX electronics. I never use drag break on any RCs. I understand Spectrum will be in all the ARRMA's because of Horizon, but I opted to just use the old Tactic TTX300. 😎💪👊👊

Do you have a specific recommendation for a better remote? The tactic TTX 300 might be what you recommend. But since you simply reverted to that from your old set up. Hey Rich, gonna try these for my Talion 6S EXB: I’ve stripped two tires so far. It doesn’t seem like the Katars have a deep hex like the Kraton 6s copperheads. How do you like these for the Kraton 6S EXB vs stock? Thanks.
Hey Howard 🤗. It's true, the Katars have a flat style rim with shallower hexs. Only way to avoid stripping wheels is to crank the wheel nuts until the nut knurls bite into the plastic and lock down. They're not tight enough unless they're difficult to remove. I absolutely LOVE both the standard 6s Backflips and the Backflips LP's on the Kraton 6s. The LP's are lighter, more planted, and offer tighter control with crisper turning than the bigger 6s Backflips. Both options are better than the stock Kraton tires in my opinion. Just remember you have to gear up slightly with the smaller LP's to keep the same top speeds. 🍻

I'm struggling to find a play ground like you have there man that's awesome but I've found an alright looking skate park once I've fixed my V4. She had a full speed run in with a massive log there was no avoiding it 🤣 the Copper Head 2 tyres don't grip well on fine gravel that's wet.. needless to say I wouldn't be taking her there again but that skate park looks like it could be fun bro 😎👊👊

My lhs has one Talion v3 left. Is it like the Kraton or is the extra speed a difference maker? And is it as durable as anKraton??
Thanks so much Peter👊!!!! The V3-V4 Talion is a sleek bashing freak 👀. It's fast AF, and handles better than any other ARRMA 😍. It fly's like MAD too with perfect balance. I do think it's as durable as the Kraton with the M2C chassis and aluminum chassis supports. The key is not putting huge wheels on it. Badlands 3.8's or these Backflip LPs are as big as I'd go. Any bigger and you lose speed and the crisp handling that makes it so special. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rich, HELPI could rant all day, I had to completely tear down the rc to get it running right. THE TEAR WING BREAKS OFF EVERY RUN. The brace that goes through the shock tire. Any ideas? Thanks Rich! Anyone else have a fix for this? I’m landing the jumps, fails without crashing. I’m at a loss.

great video. I was wondering if you knew what would cause sloppy handling in the front? car seems to wonder or when driving on bumpy uneven ground, goes in any direction randomly. I looked it over everything seems tight, but the front tires seem to have some play in them side to side. thanks.

Thanks so much Harry 🤗. I would put together a basic set of ideas for the track down on paper. Cost and liability are always concerns, just keep that in mind. So is maintenance and oversight. I'd focus on all the potential positives it'd bring to the community, but anticipate some resistance and question marks. The parks department may have the final say depending on how it would be appropriated...etc. One thing is for certain....great places start with a vision. You might be the one to turn it into a reality. 🍻😎💪👊👊
