- Amie Palo is back again, and here to take the stock motor Audi R8 quarter mile record from Sheepey Race, with her 1300hp T1 Race Development built R8. We've got to hand it to her - she went from zero track time, to a low 8 second car in one season! Will we see her shooting for the overall R8 record next year? We sure hope so!

Can we all stop for a second and think of the progress and development the tech has made? She is running low eights after one season. What would you have to drive in 60s or 70s to get to the 8s? Insane fire breathing, nitromethane spitting, front engined monster that burns tires throughout the whole track and/or tries to send you to the moon?

@@jimmymetcalfe9167 No you actually wouldn't because if you just go back a couple of years. Engine explosions and transmission explosions, the same that took of a bit of Big Daddy's foot in 1972 was a regular thing. Those thing we're difficult to drive and not for novices. They had been driving 1200-1500 hp slingshots for over a decade before making the switch to rear engine cars which was completed by the end of the 1973 season. Wings appeared the next year and the march to 260 mph was on....

You can get a 5.3 ls truck motor throw some boost at it and make those numbers with a much simpler and cheaper setup.
And these V8s are very fragile too.
You should probably look at the 5th gen viper or 7.90 second stock long block coyote if this is impressive to you

She said she had kids old enough to not be there. It might be more of a case that she is keeping very well for her age. I'd ask her but I'm far too much of a gentleman for that lol.

Hank had the same problem with his RS3 until they sorted it out and he ran 7's in his car.

I come up with 11 secs every time the car runs down the track and for stock it’s faster than Kyle’s twin turbo R8 PoS it runs 13-14’s at 130-149mph

Although they probably just mean "stock internals", calling a motor with turbo kit that did not come with the car from the factory a "stock motor" seems to me quite a bold statement.
Stock unopened motor. Turbo kits do not require opening the motor
So when you hear stock motor LS cars you go comment all mad they have turbos as well?

He hasn't put serious drag radials on it. Plus he doesn't have a roll bar which you need to run 8's legally. He can start making those changes and then go after the stock record as well.

I must say if you want to go fast with like something stock motor going for records or are in a tight record bracket having a women drive is any easy form of weight reduction that could put you over the edge.

you need to rip your files from your ECU if its a bosch or a denso or something it has a password it can be reflashed you dont need someone ike cobb to do it you need a HEX reader or something really old school you need a serial connector and a breadboard. its really basic shit. you need to pull the hex file and a bunch of other shit you need a 3d tune viewer. they arent cheap but its worth it passing my shit along because im tired of 1300 being the limit. maganium engine parts and covers and intakes keep the weight down too and venturri porting helps swirl the air around and increase power. everything helps.

I feel like the cars et should be a lot lower considering the power it makes. Still impressive as hell don’t get me wrong!! Stangmode ran a 8 with a blown 10 speed making 950hp. Beautiful Audi tho

Ok stock motor, if i'm correct motor is completely stock (Cams, heads, displacement save for some cleanup on rebuild?) and upgraded exterior stuff (Turbos, fuel system ect)?
