Came across you video and I was interested in your problem with wet debris inside the mirror housing. I popped the access panels off the bottom of my mirrors and did not find anything inside my 2014 Flex mirrors. If I had to guess your location I would say you are north of the U.S. border and a mixture of road salt and water splashes inside the housing and causes the corrosion debris that you encountered. I live in Florida and of course we do not have the salt problem.
I was thinking the same thing. Yes, I'm North of the Border. We use a lot of salt and Brine in the area. I also commute a large distance to work. Some people did theorize that its the galvanic reaction between steel and aluminum. Either way, I hate it. Thanks for watching and the comment. Stay safe down there in FLA
Thank you for your informative video. I have a same problem with passenger mirror. Could you please do give me the exact product names that you used to fix this issue and where I can find them! It would be really appreciated! Thank you!
I used PC Fix Epoxy, but most exterior epoxies will work (like JB Weld). They can be purchased at any big box store or automotive repair store. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Great video 😊
Thanks! 😊
