Appreciate the kind words. Glad it was helpful for you! My bands: 16mm is 44.5 inches, and 14mm is 18.5 inches. However, keep in mind that the lengths will be a little different based on the type of rubber you are using. The bands I use currently are not as dense as the Pathos rubbers, so it does stretch easier than the pathos rubbers.
I have never shot a Rob Allen GT Carbon Roller before but I want to say it is probably better than this speargun because = #1 Superior Rollers (on the Rob Allen speargun are MUCH smoother due to the bearing inside the roller) #2 Weight (lighter than this speargun if that is important to you) The only thing that I don't know is the trigger mech on the Rob Allen, but I assume it is pretty solid.
Thanks for this. Just got my 85 in the mail. Quick question, one of the reasons I was drawn to this gun was for the ability to reduce power for holes and caves. I was told you can do this by just loading the kicker. Have you had experience with this? If so, what position do you leave the roller band in so that it doesn't interfere with the shot?
Congrats on the new speargun! I actually don't just load the kicker for hole hunting. I leave the kicker and load the roller band to the assist sharkfin on the shaft. If you were to just load the kicker the shaft would eat away at your bridle on the roller rubber. Here is a dive video where I use only the assist sharkfin on my Pathos 85 Sniper: th-cam.com/video/UwQpJZzAJ_o/w-d-xo.html
Glad the video was helpful! I have a Meandros Manta Reel (size 4) with somesort of. braided line (came with the speargun). I know typically most use Dyneema for their reels.
Nice review, i also want to go for that gun and i ask myself, do i need 95 cm or is it powerful enough wit 75 cm? I go a lot of the time in shallow water but sometimes down to 35-45m. What would you recomend?
Appreciate the kind words. If you are looking for one gun to do it all I would say a 85 or 95 is good because you could always use the band assist fin (located in the middle of the shaft) if you are hole hunting in the shallows, while providing you the power and range if you are trying for bigger fish. BUT if you rarely go for larger game fish then I would say 75 is a great size. I have a dive buddy that uses a 65 and it's a great size. It's small, powerful, and like all Pathos Sniper Roller spearguns you have plenty of power flexibility due to the pretension system.
@@divespeareat Thank you so much for that words. Now i go for the 95 because like your advice with the preloading even with the powerband its not a must to go full power.
@@sapaqe Anytime! The pretension feature on the Pathos Sniper gives the speargun such an advantage compared to most. I will say the roller system is not as smooth as others but for versatility your getting, you can't beat it.
I am using rubber I got from Amazon (amzn.to/40oJy0h). But I don't think I will get it again. The rubber is stiffer than the standard one that comes with the speargun which makes pulling them with the roller difficult.
Great gun with next to nothing loading pad. IT HURTS after 10 shots even with mako padding. Also, after 7 years, that ugly "loading pad" almost disintegrated. Other than that, it is an amaizi and accurate gun.
Thank you for sharing your thought on this great gun!
Appreciate the kind words. Glad it was helpful to you.
Great review!
Appreciate the kind words.
what is the shaft length you are using?
Great review! Could you maybe tell me what the lengths are of the main band 16mm, and the kicker band 14mm ?

Heyy one question i have the same gun 95 but my problem is where need pas the nylon i dont know
Now you are experienced with this would you still recommend the 85 . Or would you recommend 75 for shore dives??
I would say 85 or 95 would be ideal for most shore diving. However if you tend do do more hole hunting I would recommend a 75.
Can you shoot with just the kicker band? Without the roller system
Yes you can! Though I would prefer to just put the main band on the middle sharkfin to accomplish the same goal.
Is this gone superior or just as good as a rob allen gt carbon rollergun 90cm?

what is the shooting distance Pathos 85 Sniper Roller?
I am not 100% sure but from my experience diving with it I would guess an effective range of around 12ft or so.

@@divespeareat that’s interesting. Thank you!
Hi. How long is completely the gun, and how long the speargun arrow please.
Bro, what’s the size of the reel? And what line?
Thanks! Awesome vids!
Excited for my Pathos Sniper R.

@@divespeareat Awesome! btw, I changed my mind, I ordered the Pathos Laser Carbon Roller 120 with Pathos vert reel. Excited.
Ooo great choice! I think I would rather take that at this point.
Bro i have this gun but i dont know where pass the nylon.. i need a video please
Thanks for reaching out! I don't think I fully understand what you mean by "pass the nylon"? Do you mean the pretension on the bottom of the speargun?

Yea 10x reloads is a good amount. I feel like any speargun would hurt a bit after that many loads.
