Best Water for Making Coffee | Blind Taste Comparison

- This is the sequel to last week's video where we reviewed the Third Wave Water Classic Profile supplement. In this video we will find the best water for making coffee. We brewed the same coffee using three different waters: tap water, the classic profile supplement and Voss premium bottled water. To avoid biases, Madeleine & Valeria mixed the cups, then Goran did a blind tasting trying to figure out which one's which. We had a lot of fun making this video, so we hope you enjoy it.

Impressed man. And I’m interested in doing a similar test but with espresso
It's a logistical nightmare doing it for espresso, you really need to make sure there is no cross contamination between waters 😂 Would be cool to see though 😊
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 very true would be very very hard maybe on the flair
@@JoeyVaracalli yes sir, the flair would work perfectly for that 😁
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 yeah the only down side would be hitting the same pressures n such but might be pretty good way… probably the best would be something like the Elektra spring lever single boiler
@@JoeyVaracalli it might take a couple of takes, but I think the Flair is your best bet 😁
Funny. I like Voss glass bottled packaging but I don't actually like the water inside, especially when drunk at room temperature. :)
Great video! Excuse me sir, when you say : destilled water is the same of purified water by inverted osmosis? Thanks!
You can use both with the Third Wave Water supplement
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 great! Thanks!
DIY water recipes please..🙏
Curious where you are in Melbourne? Famously Melbourne has good water but you referred to it as "like Illy coffee" :(
I might be too fussy, the water is not as bad as it could be. I'm in Reservoir atm
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 ha well that is where the melbourne water comes from after all. But our water is really soft so that might be why you’re not getting the extraction you wanted, would be interesting to test with a refractometer
@@nukeleusben yes, literally 5 mins away we have the big Melbourne water reservoirs. Idk what it is, don't have a refractometer to test it, but the water is not ideal
Wow!!!!!!!! Your tastebuds have surgical precision!!!! Amazing!!!!! Your nickname isn't Mr. Bean for nothing!!
Rowan Atkinson might sue us 😂
@@tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746 😂😂😂
I'd be interested in a similar test with espresso as well 👍
This was really helpful, I didn't even know that there was water recipes! I heard that Volvic water is almost perfect for espresso, so that'd be a good comparaison if you can get Volvic water in your area.
I was thinking of doing a test with espresso, but changed mind due to the hassle behind the preparation for the video. Doing it like this was just easier, faster & still relevant to any coffee brewing method.
I'll have a look for that water brand, hopefully it's available in Australia 😁
