    I own the lsp9t and am pretty happy with it. Although it doesn't 100% support earc. I got this projector for the hdr10+ experience. And although it does do hdr10+, if its from an outside source with Atmos or DTSX it does not send that signal to my receiver. Only way I can experience hdr10+ movies is to plug my source directly to the projector as my Marantz 8805 is not HDR10+ compliant. I plug my source directly to the projector to watch the hdr10+ movie but it down samples the audio to the receiver. If I plug my source to the receiver first I get Atmos but no HDR10+. Samsung has to fix this

    Still take an 86" tv over a fixed 100" UST setup.
    You'll get better picture quality and HDR as well lower input lag for gaming as well eARC and 4k 120hz.
    Plus the ease of setup...
    UST only makes sense for 120" or bigger for a fixed setup.
    Otherwise standard throw ceiling projector with ALR screen all day long....

    • @b3owu1f
      @b3owu1f 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people are not buying 86" TVs. Almost everyone I know has 50" to 60". Some have 65 to 75. Not one has > 75 and besides myself, only 2 had 75 (of about 30 friends I spoke to fairly recently). Even "cheap" 85" tvs are not very affordable for most people. I would take a projector that can be set from 80" to 150" over a similar sized TV all the time. Can make image larger. Much easier to move around to rooms if you decide you want to set up a few static screens in diff rooms. Lighter/easier to hang screen. Same inputs/etc as any TV. UST beats all but OLED hands down.

      @MrSuperman258401 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@b3owu1f exactly why I said for a fixed 100" setup. At the price of UST and screen....
      I run an HT group so I see more ppl with 85-86" TVs 😉.

    One major argument for a short throw projector vs a 100" tv. Try sticking a 100" tv into any subcompact car. Simple portability. I also challenge most to move a 100" tv without damaging it in some way. Then when it comes to repair. I wonder if the repair of a laser projector is going to be easier and cheaper then a 100" or more tv. I would be interested to see what the difference is in power consumption. A slight modification in the firmware and hardware and you have a curved monitor/tv which seems to be the craze in gaming today. I am on an extremely tight budget. That is the only thing that would make this option out of reach for me at the moment. I recently managed to get my hands on a hololens 1st gen only after they had come out with the gen 2 and dropped support for gen 1.
