i've been struggling with the use of the avatars on pc and now you are just telling me that all this time I just needed a different app ID for PC?? wow you are actually my savior if this works! I'll test it and let you know if it works for me :D EDIT: It didn't work for me at first but then I realize that you have to add the oculus app ID in another tab on Oculus>Avatars>Edit Settings, and there is another two slots where you have to paste your App ID. I don't know why there is this "avatars" tab for me and not for valem but I hope this help for someone with the same problem!

Could you consider making a tutorial on how to ray-cast teleport while using a "finger-gun" hand gesture? I'm having a hard time figuring out how to aim and trigger teleportation via hand pose recognition rather than via controllers. I think teleporting by pointing 👉 would be awesome!

Can you make a tutorial on Oculus Interaction SDK locomotion? Either teleport or constant movement would be fine. My problem is that the sample locomotion scene doesn't work except for walking only.

When I use Hand Skeleton Version as OpenXR in OVRManager the Meta Avatars Hands are stopping to tracking, but if I use as OVR Hand Skeleton the Avatar Hands are ok but the poke buttons are stopping to working
It seems like the Oculus integration has been deprecated? I am trying to install the package in Unity 2022 and I get a bunch of error messages saying that OVR dependencies are missing...

Are you setting up both oculus quest and rift setups. Even if you don't intend to make something for PC, you need it to test as you're technically using a PC setup when you hit run.
Certain things from the Oculus SDK can be used with the XR Interaction Toolkit by attaching stuff from the Oculus SDK on the side. It's kind of hacky but I got Dash support working on another game like that. However, I assume it might be pretty tricky to do that with the Avatar SDK. Maybe Valem or something else knows?

But when I start the build in the Oculus Quest 2 my meta avatar has completely white textures. Just in the build. I already tried to setup the light settings and tested a different project. Can you/ anyone help? Is there a setting I have to change or could it be something else?
Please please the multiplayer thing. I already have a VR multiplayer game set up and working, so i dont want to implement a whole new system, so its just about displaying the 1st person for me and the 3rd person for other players.
I use Unity 2021. 3 and when I add to scene AvatarSDKManagerHorizon it shows that all scripts " The associated script can not be loaded. Please fic compile errors and open Prefab Mode and assign valid script to the Prefab Assets".... What is it mean I should destroy every prefab and put any script???? Even if they all assigned in place.... I don't get it.
They are in the samples which u have to extra import. But for some reason I get problems withe OvrPlatformInit everytime when I use my own avatar not sure if it's a problem with the API (even though I followed all the steps) or the v.33 of the sdk
When i drop in the AvatarSdkManagerHorizon every scrip has a triangle warning with the following text "The associated script cannot be loaded. Please fix compile errors and open Prefab Mode and assign a valid script". I'm using editor version 2021.3.4f1
Maybe it's too late, but I solved that by deleting conflicted json file from library ( the error was in logs, another file was in avatars 2 folder, I haven't touched it)
Other oculus users cannot load their avatar in my apps. they already have developer account and joined as admin in the app dashboard. There is an error something like this 'entitlement check failed. user doesn't have app in library', they are install the app from ODH. Anyone know what happen about this issue?
I have a similar issue. I can get individuals to load avatars on a development build (running through Unity's play mode), but once we build an APK and push it to the stand alone quests the build fails on a black screen and eventually crashes out. I've the codes in both the Rift and Oculus area under the oculus menu. I am using Photon for networking, but we can't even get to the join room to test if the avatars are showing for each other. I've also tried on the Sample App that comes with the Avatar SDK, and the same thing happens. I am assuming it is a simple setting I am missing somewhere. Thoughts? Help? This is for a Uni project so time is short unfortunately. Even so, I'd love to hear a fix if someone finds one later.
If u are thinking to develop, never opt to buy META it's sux! I'm developer for 24 years, in my whole life I have never had see anything so poor, a lot of bugs, META support is simple useless! NEVER BUY META QUEST!

Just uninstall Version control and Newtonsoft from the package manager before importing the avatar sdk. it works for me.
