  • Ting Jin, Tai Chi's skill of awareness, was a profound skill that allowed the great master Yang Luchan to counter the techniques of opponents both small and big with the elegant movements of Tai Chi. His sensitivity to his opponent's movements and force was so refined that it was said he once demonstrated that a bird placed on his palm could not fly away, because he would detect and neutralize its leaping force as soon as it tried to fly.
As amazing as this fest is, it doesn't illustrate the whole story and perhaps that's why so many people have had difficulty mastering Ting Jin. Ting Jin goes beyond the awareness of physical forces and angles. It is through opening your spirit and deepening a positive connection with the opponent that you unlock the true capacity of Ting Jin to give you control over everything.
In this video we will discuss what exactly nourishes and opens your spirit, as well as how you can extend your sensitivity and awareness into other objects, into space, and into others.
This video is part 2 in a series discussing what is and how to refine your skill in Ting Jin. I hope you enjoy it and please comment with your questions and experiences! Check out part 1 here:

Ting jin/ging is an amazing skill, I've improved a lot my internal skills by training ting, putting the mind/yi on the space to affect that area and feel it, amazing. I love your videos🙏

You're right and isn't it so amazing to experience your practice and your world beyond what is immediately apparent? Thank you for watching and putting it into practice!

Yeah but how to tell the difference between baby tantrum and real presence?

Thank you for commenting! I do not totally understand your question but in my experience, baby tantrums can have a very powerful presence 😅

For example real presence, action deliverce permission to have nature unseale a pot on a higher shelf and have it roll down the tissue spine into your catching hands to perform the use of the permitted action by unsealing the pot making it fall thru the spine of the tissue falling to our hands to do something.

You are saying something profound that I do not fully understand yet. Are you describing something about the relationship between awareness, the world outside our body, and our actions?

@phoenixmountaintaichi yeah awareness implies perturbing space and then you imply space to lower its energy 👌

@@kounaboy7011Yes you are completely correct. It is very powerful what you can accomplish with so little. 🙏
