It's not just India-celebrities worldwide get caught lying to protect their image or promote brands. But in India, it’s more common because audiences rarely hold them accountable, focusing instead on personal life gossip. 🗣️ People also tend to follow the crowd here, joining conversations to seem cool, even if they don't really care or understand, just to show off. 😅
Based take, that's the truth about India lol. I see a lot of competition even in Anime groups, people just want to follow a herd and call others out to seem better. There's no real discussions.

5:20 a lot of people, many of my classmates in college were from poor working class families and studied in tamil medium government schools, and had poor fluency in english, so a lot of them pirated tamil subs and dubs of popular anime. Most Indians don't know english, so localising to regional languages and hindi is the right approach if you want the most no. of people to watch anime. Even my first anime experience was the hindi dub of dbz on TV.
I swear to god Anime and TH-cam made me more fluent in english than any other media, just because of the sheer amount I consumed. (I do think that the 9th grade effect kicks in, and people generally start being more fluent around that time to actually start watching shows from out of India.)

Kind of a issue with the Indian gaming community too. But shunning those fans isnt the way to go. Anime like demon slayer aren't actually bad for a younger or newcomer audience. To be fair a younger audience would find it too hard to keep up with more complex anime. A big part of what makes these anime enjoyable is the character writing, dialogue, inner conflicts of characters, good world building and good execution of their themes, appreciating which takes a kind of maturity. For a younger audience or newcomers who havent watched similar media, a lot of these things just go over their head. Things like hype, flashy fight scenes become a bigger focus(not to say that these factors dont matter in a good anime) and the writing is made to be simpler. But definitely these tastes will change with time.
1. As an Indian myself, the only reason(kind of) I'm not into anime is because, I simply don't have the time. I mean, I have already a bunch of my own native movies on my watchlist, also more closely following Hollywood too. Add anime into the mix, and I simply can't manage media from 3 countries at the same time. If there is any anime with a shorter runtime like a limited series, pls do recommend.(PS: I don't read, so please don't recommend any Manga) 2. Please YAPP more about the paan ads. That shit is actively ruining the country and our fellow countrymen. I can see red spit all over Bengaluru, ( the city I work ) even in the most remote places. Clearly the poor working class folk are severely addicted to that garbage. 3. Rashmika is an omega level b***o, there I said it. The sooner people understand that, the better.

Anime has been popular in India for a long time, I would say after 2000s since I was not born before that but no one used to call it anime, I used to love anime as a kid cause of that but mostly were kids shows they didn't air much teenage focused shows in Hindi apart from DB, Naruto and some more so it didn't got as much audience as it should have gotten, as many used to prefer it in Hindi but everything almost switched to English only channel so it really failed to get people's attention. I think the creator might be from India but he isn't very old. Because people who were kids in the 2000s and 2010s would remember the Animax channel and even Cartoon Network where we were introduced to some Animes, although we weren't aware of the difference. Animes like Hunter x Hunter, Beyblade, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, Inazuma Eleven, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon were all part of our childhood. Then when the internet started becoming more accessible, people started downloading anime, sharing it with others and even ventured into manga. I would say after Jio came into the picture, it might have blown up even more as data became more cheap, thus opening the door to more untapped animes. I will only agree with this point that it became mainstream during the pandemic but by the year 2015 at least among boys in educational institutions in urban areas (this is my experience plus anecdotes) you could find people who knew what anime was and were on the hunt to watch something new. On the part of JJK vs Vinland Saga, my personal opinion is Vinland Saga is Vinland Saga S01 would be better than JJK but overall if you compare, I will say JJK edges Vinland Saga.
As someone who works in advertising, it's very difficult to convince brands when it comes to this. We write scripts and lines keeping that celebrity in mind who is an actual fan. The one who actually cares. Then the client steps in and says let’s go for the most popular celebrity instead. And then we see our ideas getting chopped and sawed to match that fake fan of a celebrity. Unfortunate.

@@daenero123 Good to know! I've been thinking of giving gintama a try. Anyways thanks for replying 💕
I love your monogatari inspired editing, I can't believe how well it works!

Good luck on your journey
In early 2000s there were more Anime on air playing in India, than USA. We even had designated channels for Anime shows itself. We knew they were from Japan, but unaware of the term "Anime".
Actually, that's true for Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia too.
I am from India and i agree at all of those things that you said. Expose them bro
Dunno why they made these actors brand ambassadors even when people don't like them that much. Like what else they can provide, they don't even ******** know that "Your lie in April" is not a movie 😑😑
Monogatari edits = BASED i cant disagree with anything now
8:06 brush why u gotta remind me the manga that broke me
Such a great manga, right? I wish some studio makes a movie out of it. It has potential to be one of those iconic anime movies.

7:22 omg finally someone said it hate jjk
I can't believe this is your first video :)
Damn..Man, you're out here dropping real facts, while these so-called 'Indian anime TH-camrs' don't even mention half of it. I love how you keep things funny while talking about serious stuff too. Honestly, you can't be into something if you don't fully understand it-it just comes off as silly. I feel like this is more of an India problem, where there's no real standard for things like this, so the admins just do whatever they want. Honestly, I kind of wish anime was underrated in India it would actually be better that way. Most of the cringe some anime fans put out is straighy up radioactive. Anyway, man...great video keep it up!
new creator with great content? Hell yeah subscribed
Subbed! Can't wait for another yup session.
What is she on about? 🤣🤣 she is just repeating what she read from the script even though she definitely forgot what was on the script 💀
