I, an Indian weeb, am sorry to the anime community. I feel like Crunchyroll shd make a person who actually watches anime as their ambassador ;-;
This thing also exists within the gaming community and their streamers.
Been watching Anime since the early 2000s. Back when the current Chhapri Anime kids were swimming around in their father's balls as sperm. Back then, you were seen as Strange or Sophisticated (based on the Anime you watched). I remember Animax was really popular with the Older High-School and College Kids. All the cool people I knew from that age were into Anime, it was a tight knit community. I remember there was this Bhaiya who talked about Drifting and Tuning Cars cause of Initial-D, even before the normal populace was introduced to NFS Underground Games and Fast & Furious. It was such a fascinating time, Animax had a good bunch of Shows catering to both Genders. I think the main reason why things started changing for the worse is when Anime started getting mainstream popularity in the West (especially America). Back in Early 2010s, to suddenly caught on and then almost everybody instantly knew about it. This hurt the community, because the passionate long time fans got sidelined by Weebs. It's just so bad in India now. I remember back when I was in like 3rd grade, I used to spend hours watching older kids talk about the storytelling, morals, animation, and characters. Now, most of it is just "Oh he doesn't watch Anime, he's not cool". We were cool because Anime back then was consumed mostly by actually Cool people irl. Now, you need to watch the mainstream trashy Mid Piece, Midruto, Midjutsu Kaizen etc. to be considered Cool. But in all honesty, Anime is generally not that cool anymore by itself. Most of the shows today look absolutely indistinguishable from each other. The Storytelling is boring, and most of them rely on just Flashy Colours and crazy Character designs. Shonen is the only genre keeping the industry alive at this point, while also being the worst offender. The thing with making these people as Ambassadors is that they can bring an audience, while the average Anime Enthusiast from the early days in India are in their late 30s and early 40s.
i can understand those hindi words in the dub but at the same time ... i cant.
i was watching the idiocracy of my own country with a silent face until 18:06 popped up
Those fake ambassador for anime is so ------ remove her no true anime fan, wd love these s h i t !
we got foreigners talkimg about Indian anime situation before gta 6
This guy will blow up surely, Keep up with the effort you put into these videos!
I said it once and I'll say it again JJK and MHA are both great anime and worthy of fighting for the title of new gen big 3. One of the biggest reasons they get hate is because of the 'fandoms' and be so fr that only became a problem because these shows became popular with a female fanbase and the inherent misogyny common in the anime community. This pattern has been seen again and again even with shows like Tokyo revengers, the second an anime is beloved by women it is no longer 'peak' and labelled as 'overrated'. It baffles me that they get this much hate when trash like rent a girlfriend exists. The toxicity of fandoms and gross levels of fanservice in shows like one piece and Naruto get coated in a sheen of nostalgia and are pushed under the rug. The strange double standard one of the reasons anime still has a reputation of being weird.
amazing intro
Agni shakti 😭😭😭
back in 2014 i used to not tell people I was an anime fan because people did not care or used to judge. Today I still don't tell people I am an anime fan because either they will be another cringe fan or they would assume I am one of those cringe fans.
mostly in south asia and south east asia people grew up watching anime from their childhood, those shows were popular but not to that extent but later on it started becoming mainstream. I might say the media coming to India is way laid back, you feel like you are in the past because of how slow most of these media reaches there. as an indian myself, I grew up watching anime, these animes were popularly recognized mostly for kids and teens. but now when social media has become a big thing and man young adults have access to it anime became a mainstream.
OG Indian anime fans use torrents
Keep it up man , love your videos ❤
Man i mean ff and pubg are popular in India bcz of the influence they have man I get bored after I play them do I go play roblox and my id got hacked
JJK overrate sure, but its better than bleach at least. Theyre both edgelord shonens, not that there is anything wrong with that, but bleach story telling and especially its animation have always been dogwater. however I do wish the JJL fanbase would acknowledge just how silly the idea of using angst as your form of chakra really is. Thats next level emo stuff.
as an official old head, i was onto all that nerd culture shhhh way before it blew up. Super heroes, video games, anime, manga. All things people looked down on. And now they all became massively mainstream. And im for it. I just also want to be a hipster about it, and say that i was for it first :P
Sounds a bit of nitpicky over here. I mean as long as she has watched handful anime or even one anime its fine
😂😂😂😂
i knew from the beginning she was a fake weeb. now i got to know its true.

16:44 ultrakill mentioned 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
The regional dubbing is for people who dont understand english and believe me they r in huge numbers in india(they are mostly parents and grandparents and not teens).
90s Animax kids assemble! But also, let's not forget Cardcaptor Sakura was first aired in India on Hannah Barbara's Cartoon Network.
i feel the same way brother
y'all the problem is not even with these celebs and shit... I'll tell you where the real problem lies... people who watch aot/jjk and pretend they know everything about anime like shut up you just watched popular shonen and you want to act like they're the most superior forms of media when there's a million other genres of anime. really hate it when these people start acting misogynistic and discriminatory towards shoujo and other genres like shut up!!!!!
fr animax which was aired in india and was banned was reason i got into anime hhehe
bro, silent voice unofficial hindi dub was much better than many official dubs in crunchyroll
I was expecting some indian accent tbh
As someone who watched anime since I can remember, India was better before anime blew up. You can enjoy an anime and like it all you want but making that your personality? Nah. The only place I talk to people about anime are my 2 friends and reddit. So yeah too much of something ain't good.
Broo forgot the OG Minecraft
Broo the brain rot of Freefire is crazy in India
Broo as an Indian I am feeling Sad.
