I just made this today! Instead of hiding the bias tape, I chose to use a thicker tape and used it as a trim around the edge of my shirt. Very cute shirt, thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you so much I really wanted to sew but other tutorials are hard to understand but your methods seems easy & it is really easy to follow really thank you😘😘😘
Just made one after seeing your short on instagram, and can I just say you did so great making it so easy to follow along! And thank you for the bias tape tip, I never thought to use it like that, but I'm sure it'll come in handy for other projects!
Top is cute on you. However question about bias tape. I allllwaaaays get ugly puckers on right side of fabric with bias tape . I tried so many suggestions from TH-cam, - staystitch, iron and molding tape, clip curves, give slack to bias tape while attaching first time and not stretch specially on curves but nothing. How come yours came so perfect.
I’m finding this really difficult- not having a pattern. First I couldn’t fit my head thru, then the armholes are too tight and I really wanted darts but im ruining my fabric trying to figure out where to put them.
Oh no!!!! I should’ve mentioned be careful to make sure the neckline and armholes are big enough. It helps to use a non-stretch shirt to trace in the beginning. For the darts, try putting the top on inside out, and pinching the darts at the bust. Pin them until they’re just right. Then sew.
