I think the tension between Greece & Turkey is probably related to the natural reserve in aegian sea & mediterrean sea and about the strategic assets in that region, of course we cannot rule out the chains from past actions.
A lot of greek converted muslims and armanian converted muslims live in turkey now...
USA is also pissed about Turkey attacking Kurdish rebels in Syria, as Kurdish are American puppets and are also the last hold in the Syrian civil war which more or less is over. If Kurdish are defeated, not only with Assad regain full control of Syria again, but it will also mean that USA will have to leave Syria.
Also turkey has agreed to allow Russian pipelines through itself, i.e. Russia will now use Turkish territory to export oil and gas to Europe, bypassing Ukraine.
But turkish government just stopped tons of Russian petrol tankers in pressure of UK and USA

Those wars were both ways. Menender was a Greek or Indo-Greek who ruled an empire in Modern day Iran-Afganistan-Pak area. He was allegedly preparing to invade India and was converted to Buddhism by monks. Pushyamitr Shunga who ruled North India preempted him and not only invaded but also sacked his city, destroyed his army and all monestarties who collaborated with him were taken down. Those wars were both ways and long ago. Also Mauryans subjugated Seleucid who clearly had intentions to expand into North India but instead ended up marrying his daughter to Chandragupta Maurya. Mauryans also helped him with war technology to help him in his conquets in West. So it was long ago and both ways.

But that would be dumb. Seriously as much as I respect Indians, I believe Indians should get over the inferiority complex with colonialism and Britain(just like us, not only did Britain treated us like a client state in the 19th century but they've also had the Ionian isles, Cyprus and some other islands as their official colonies). I understand that after being humiliated for centuries by the British, you want to regain your national pride by nationalism but isolationism and xenophobic hatred will get you nowhere. We've had many conflicts with the Persians as well as hostilities for centuries, and despite the fact that we ended up being victors in the end and captured all their homeland(unlike in India where Alexander only captured a few lands and not the whole country), I hardly see any Iranian showing hatred for Greece. Instead most Iranians I know(and especially through their textbooks) are very objective, though they know we conquered them, they also accept responsibility for having invaded and having conquered some Greek lands first and accepting that in wars every side suffers, instead of focusing on hatred, they teach their kids the positive side of the interraction between Greece and Persia(such as the cultural influence, how our bloodlines were connected with common marriages, the ''Greco-Persian civilization'' and so on). They also teach that we somehow became ''relatives'' after so many centuries. I suggest you should do the same at your schools(example: teach them about the unification of the Greek and Indian people, the Greco-Indian and Bactrian hellenistic kingdoms, how the ancient greek pantheon and the Hindu pantheon were connected, how Greeks like Menander influenced Buddhism and so on).

Can Turkey be categorised as a US vassal (as it is one of the NATO members) nowadays? There have been various instances in recent years when Turkey disaprooved US like buying S-400 Triump althogh being part of the F-35 programme (of which they got kicked off for the same reason) and blocking the entery of Finland and Sweden in the NATO. Also there are examples when Turkey has shown its loyalty to US like blocking Russian oil tanker coming to India (a very recent thing not much covered by media as always).
I am asking this question because the Anti-US move played by Turkey by buying S-400 overshadows everything good they did for the US, so I am kind of confused.

Great Question. I actually think Turkey is also In Confusion. It cannot fully deny USA,because they want to remain a part of Nato. But also they want support from Russia, China. Plus their economy is dying. Hence Erdogan wants Turkish people attention to divert from Economic problems and focus on war

AFAIK, Greeks do not originate from the Middle-East. Rather from the Black Sea (Turkey/Anatolia) and Caucasus.

I think the title should be "Is Greece Preparing for a War Against Turkey", by arming Aegean islands that were supposed to be unarmed according to the treaty?? Turkey is simply reacting to Greece and expecting them to abide by treaties.
Greece is only doing this for defensive purposes, listen to your so called "great" Sultan how he threathning Greece on a daily basis, and talks about war and things like that. Stop listening to Turkeys propaganda. Also, there is nothing that says in the treaty that Greece cannot put up defenses in case of feeling threatened.

Greece has every right to defend its islands, land, sea and air if you cross it illegaly and in case of being threatened which it does today Greece have every right to arm up its islands with military personel just in case Erdogan decides to attack us one night as he so often says to the media and its people.
And let's not forget that Turkey has had a 100 000+ troops force close to the Greek islands for over a year now, which is also another reason for Greece to arm its islands where people live as well in case Turkey launches an invasion of Greece.

Arming them voids the Peace Treaty and opens the door to having Turkiye recoup previously owned islands. It is going to hurt, I tell you. Turkiye can take the islands with or without Greek military presence. It makes no difference. Don't tell me I dint tell you, later on.

Again, you should study the treaty, they cannot build naval bases and things like that on some of the islands but there is nothing that says they cannot have military soldiers on them, especially in times like this when Turkey is 24/7 threatening Greece and illegaly entering Greece's air space, water and threatens of war with a NATO ally as well. Turkey need to learn it's place soon or will be defeated by Nato in case of war with Greece. Turkey is NOT a superpower, even if Erdogan thinks so.
