Im starting a job after new years that uses NX im a fusion 360 user so im hoping I can pick up the program fast. But to be honest its still terrifying to look at!
Congratulations on your new job, and don't worry about NX. On my website learnNX.com, you can get to know the program step by step. Here you will find practice material, learning videos and many practical tips. And if anything remains unclear, please feel free to send me an e-mail. You can find the address on my website. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Hi. I started a new job in Sept. where they use NX. I have used Fusion, Creo, Autodesk, Sw. They're all the same. The one thing that's different; create an external sketch for every extrusion or revolve. Internal sketches from previous features can't be selected in the next feature to build from. Also, lines or circles from a previous solid can't be used to build from either. You need the sketch lines from the previous feature to build from or constrain to. We;re on V.1852. Someone prove me wrong, please!
@@jaycrook1076 In NX, you can create both internal and external sketches. You can make the internal sketch external (right-click the feature in the Part Navigator and then select ‘Make External’). The external sketch can be used by other features as often as you like. If a sketch is used by more than one feature, it can no longer be made internal.
@@learnNX I know about the ability to "Make External", but what's really the point. If you have videos about how to unite solid features, and constrain to previous features, without having to constrain to previous sketches, Id like to see them. Thanks, Jay.
