I just never can figure it out... Do I want a Polysix and get a bunch of bonus features that I would totally use, or do I want one of these and have a bunch of customization features, osc by osc? I'd save money getting the 'six... I guess I should get both, but... even then, I have to get one of them first! Thanks for this fantastic demo/instruction, Mr. D. I keep coming back to it to try and help my decision. I'd probably own the 'six already if this video series wasn't here... but seeing this one - I keep saying to myself, "How could I possibly live without *that*! And *that*! And *that*!"
tompparaideri Why? I already have a Poly D and I‘m highly satisfied. Feel free to offer me a Korg Mono/Poly with MIDI and sequencer in mint condition for the price of the upcoming Behringer though. ;-p
Hi Marc. Thanks for this better version. I had watched the previous one a few times, and I just NOW noticed that the effect switch was broken on your Mono/Poly. Probably just the orange plastic top? I know you don't have this synth anymore, so I guess it doesn't really matter...
No, you're actually RIGHT. When I made these videos, and the years before, I based my pronunciation of it on a Korg demonstration tape, but I have been since told by people who worked at Korg when the instrument was made, it is pronounced how you say it!
Ah, this was great to see again. Can't believe this was made 9 (almost 10) years ago!
I particularly like the skull, tucked in the background.
One of the most beautiful synths ever made!!
I AM extremely lazy. Thank you for pointing out all the features of the Mono/Poly which pertain to me.
Awesome sounds! thanks for the demo

I did exact same choice, I love my Polysix, but I'm gonna buy Mono/Poly someday too :D
Watching this while waiting for the Behringer version. :)
Shame on you. Shame..
