The Korg MonoPoly is one of the few vintage synths that I would have to buy if one became available and I have the funds spare to get it. It's sound is truly unique in comparison to other synths. This is a lovely ambient jam you have done with it. Amazing atmospheric music. Thanks for posting
It's good to hear some nice sounds out of your one, I lovingly kept one for 30 odd years and never got tired of it. multi channel recording and its up there with the best X
Watching this reminds me of my first Korg I bought in Dover New Hampshire at a piano and organ store. In the basement of this store was poly moog's, micro moog's brand new, displayed. But I had To order my Korg ms-20, and wait and wait, and wait for it to be delivered to the store. Wish I would have kept it. But now I have a DSS-1, with disks I have made. I will never part with this. Great sounds with the mono/poly, Love your music my friend, KUDOS !!!
Great video showing what this beautiful machine can do. I have a Korg MONO/POLY and still need to make a video featuring it but then I've been busy making other synth videos HA HA! Cheers Ol' Buddy!
This machine can do lovely soft gentle tones and BOC style pads and basses in the right hands. Most of the walk throughs focus on the harsher sounds. A few guitar pedals help as well. Nice job! 😊
Very nice organic sounding vintage 4-voice paraphonic mono... quirky design lends itself to experimental interaction. I only got to try it briefly but I was very impressed and had a lot of FUN with it. :)
This sounds so much better than the new Korg stuff. It must be the vintage electronics use in these instruments that makes the difference.
This is one of the best Korg synths ever made! 2 of my favorites are the original MS-20 and DSS-1.
Mono/Poly is from a different era with earlier manufacturing techniques and older components... perhaps this influences the sound more than we think!

Thank you Luke, I'm glad you enjoyed the music. The Mono/Poly is certainly a fantastic synth with a unique sound... very warm, liquid and endearing.
And Behringer just released it. Have a go
very MONO/POLY sound!
If you own a François De Roubaix vinyle, you are certainly into music and synths ;) Merci

Thanks so much! That's a great story... glad you still have your DSS-1, it's a huge beast in sound and size! :)
Here after the Behringer clone announcement to learn more about this synth. I really appreciate how mellow it can be!
Thank you! The Korg Mono/Poly definitely is organic. The SSM filters are a key factor in the sound.
Nice

Very nice playing, reminds me, in a good way, of Eno's "The Drop" at some points.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
It’s another killer synth classic that I wished I had money for back then from Korg. Peace Christo 👽🐕🎶🛸

*There is a plugin for Monopoly. And it is amazing.*
Hey! Big like!!!Laya
Amazing work here! Big ups! Do you know where I can get the right way to put on tune all oscillators?
Thanks! If you need to get your synth tuned/calibrated, I'd suggest taking it to a synthesizer technician.
I wanna learn..
Full moon in the Egyptian desert....
A nice description, thanks for sharing.
