An Ethnography of the Nether after this series finish could be awesome too, probably a lot more to document (and a lot more of Action that would probably be cut during montage)

Yeah, that would be cool to do. There are a number of different structures to investigate and different biomes, a whole lot more creatures, etc.

Hmm, those clam-like creatures' shells look very similar to the purple bricks of the structure. Reminds me of how more familiar bivalves make calcium carbonate shells to match the rock around them. I wonder if material analysis on the shells and the bricks might reveal similar makeups. And if they get their teleporting ability from eating the purple chorus fruit, perhaps something in those plants is what they synthesize for both?
Of course, you'd have to get them and yourselves all back to the Overworld to test that...

That is a great observation about the shulkers vs. the purple blocks of the end. I hadn't thought of that!

I've watched both your and Daskalos videos. Great job and idea. RPG like video in the Minecraft with plot and action, you have to just work a bit over acting because it can be heard that some things are not as unknown for you as they should but nevertheless great videos!!!

LOL, yeah, somethings I knew and some I didn't :). Never seen an endermen get hit with a shulker bolt before.

    Nice combat skills!
I've hypothesized that Shulkers are a domesticated breed of Endermite inside of constructed armor, likely placed in the towers as guards sometime in the past by the original (or most recent) inhabitants. Endermen might have also been a previously domesticated species, since they instinctually don't react to the pumpkin faces as 'real' faces, but whatever (magical?) disaster fractured the end ended up setting them loose to be feral.

Interesting theories. Very creative! Oh, and the combat skills are really just good editing ;)

Shulkers don't appear anything like endermites though? And your concept about the endermen is pretty morbid when you consider how blatantly *humanoid* the endermen are.

I thought endermen don’t attack you when you have a carved pumpkin on your head is that you can directly see them in their eyes

@@andrewsawsomeideasandanima6222 Yes, that's what I'm saying. It could be that Endermen don't attack someone when they wear a pumpkin bc sometime in the past it became instinctive not to attack those who wore pumpkins. Pumpkins also being used to make snow golems and iron golems suggests - to me at least - that pumpkins have a larger history behind them than what is immediately apparent

@@crimsoncapricorn188 I never said it wasn't a messed up theory lol.
Endermites also don't really look like Endermen either, despite being spawned from broken ender pearls dropped by Endermen.
If the running idea is that some major catastrophe in the distant made the End what it is today, then we don't know very much about what the End was like before that event. It might not have even been "humanoid" people that the towers are the remaining evidence of, and likewise the morals of those people are also only guesswork. I've based this "theory" mostly on how aggressive Endermen are to those who observe them, how aggressive Shulkers are to intruders of the towers, and that the Shulkers are also not found anywhere except the towers. Combined with the absence of sapience in the present species that could indicate any of them as the tower-builders, to me, this points to Endermen and Shulkers being engineered/bred as guards or security - much like guard dogs in the real world.
I'll stop rambling lol, now that I feel like one of those conspiracy guys

This was SO fascinating, I loved seeing this all from the point of view of professionals with a good amount of real world experience who have no knowledge of what they're seeing!

Y’all gotta do some of these videos for the other structures in the game like the Woodland manor would be cool.

Yep, intend to. There is just a longer delay and we are both working on multiple projects and it takes longer to coordinate stuff like this. :)
