How these homes survived without a house fire is beyond me.
I think it was being rented out and the renter didn't care (and the owner forgot) about maintenance. The owner didn't care about the safety of his renter either.
I'm sitting here squinting my eyes, keeping my mouth shut tightly and feel like my nose is getting stuffy. I think I need a mask just to watch this kind of video. 🤣 That's a lot of left over clothing. 😆

Ugh. This is why I clean my hose and vent every year as well as vacuum the lint out of the dryer and the back vent too. Many years ago, my Aunt's dryer caught on fire from a clogged hose.
I took the duct off the back of the dryer, put a leaf blower into the back port and blew the lint out. Big bunch of lint blew out. the front.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, approximately 3,000 dryers catch fire each year. About one-third of those fires are caused by failing to clean your clothes dryer, leading to clogged dryer vents. These fires cause an estimated $238 million in property damage yearly.
I always connect dryer maintenance the same way to heart maintenance, they share a lot of similarities. If there’s a blockage, it can cause major damage

Imagine how many millions of dust mites in that lint 😬🤧
That would be a great experiment, just to see if there is any living in dryer lint.

@@akaredcrossbow yes that is where I found it & couldn't figure how the heck to access it 🤦
@@leeannulrich9874 there are a couple things you can do.
1)You can get on the roof with the dryer on and use the rods and clean it that way, but very dangerous if you’re not comfortable with a roof.
2)See if there is access to the vent in the attic and disconnect it there and clean it with the rods.
3) use a vacuum at the dryer end of the vent and send the rods up through the vent to the top.
4) Hire a dryer vent company or a chimney sweep company that cleans dryer vents and get it done professionally.
With a roof termination, I would hire a professional. The homeowner can damage something or even get hurt or worse.

Clean inside dryer duct and motor fan also,motor fan blades become full of lint and will not move lint out the duct outside

Such a great job you do! It amazes me how much lint you get out! I sure need to clean mine. Luckily there is not much distance between my dryer and outside vent. But still . . .

It make me laugh when I think about how the homeowner probably thought there was something wrong with the dryer. But there wasn't.

We have come across wasp nests before!
As for snakes just the lint rope snakes that can be found on our channel!
We didn’t record the wasps nests we’ve seen, but we record everything now so one is bound to show up again!
That really increases the electric bill because the dryer has to work a lot harder and you have to turn it back on for multiple cycles.
