@@MsPinkyyy717 I would love too, but we are tight on the budget, I had some health issues a few months ago , I have to go to a cardiologist at the 1st of next month. I don't have insurance. I am getting some help with it. Hopefully all will be good. They found out I had a heart murmur and really high blood pressure. I've had BP problems in the past, I guess it came back. Thank you for thinking of me!
Such a cute bag and even though I’ve been sewing for over 20 years the way you constructed from start to finish is so smart!!! Great project I probably would have made it a different but this way was so much more efficient and quick 👌🏾 You also gave a great idea about the pouf for failed projects.. that’s such a great an idea and triggered spin off ideas in my mind. Awesome video, thank you!
the mistakes are good to know - and also how much time each step takes - I tend to think I am doing things wrong when they don't fly along. Happy Summer to the whole BPDIY crew
My sewing machine has been put away for a while. I’m ready to get back into it and I think I will try out this project ❤ I love your videos! Thank you for posting
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Your braids are cute! I've been watching videos of people using dollar store materials to make tote bags. I like your upcycle idea even better because you can use materials already owned.
I just started seeing a little over 2 weeks ago and you’ve taught me so much . I made a tote bag it’s not as perfect as yours. I’m still working on my stitching but it’s definitely a good first try 😌 thank you !
I’m so proud of you! So many people are afraid of imperfections so they won’t even try. You did it and now you have the tools to make sooo many things.
So I want to get into sewing so I can fix my own clothes and things but I also crochet and currently trying to make some crochet bags to sell and gift. so I want to make some liners to go inside. Do you have a machine you would recommend that wont be insanely expensive and that would work for sewing fabric to crochet?
Try any brand or heavy duty, but put paper on top of the crochet side to sew it so it doesn’t get caught in the foot or feed dogs. Here’s some of the hd machines I can recommend. amzn.to/4b2xipP amzn.to/4enETlv amzn.to/3XlL9UQ www.joann.com/janome-1522dg-mechanical-sewing-machine/18358218.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsaqzBhDdARIsAK2gqndz1ynd4oVfB44i-fVItAIr4EkacDBw5c_nSfnjRSAsWzixkMb2KNsaAiGeEALw_wcB
I have a question and a problem, if you have the time. I got a pair of shorts from the thrift store that are Old Navy and almost brand new. They fit just right BUT when I walk the bottom of the shorts sorta tug on the front of my legs, almost like they were to tight in the leg, but the are very lose in the leg. So I put a slit in the outer seam on each leg almost 1 1/2 up each seam. I was excited to try them on , cause I just knew I had fixed them and it almost looks like they came from the factory that way. Sadly it did not fix them and they still tug on the front of my legs, it doesn't hurt, just annoying. Any suggestions on how to fix that? Oh and the are not long shorts , I guess mid leg length . thanks in advance! Have a great week and I love your channel!!
@@BlueprintDIY That is a strong possibility, cause some big thighs lol. I've only had them on a couple of times. So I'm thinking, I could do an upside triangle from the bottom of the short leg. Wide at the bottom and the point( a little bit of a wide point) would go towards my waist. The fit in the waist. Unless you have a different way . I think the shorts are size 14, depending on how they are made I wear between a 14 and 16 cause no one has a 15. Usually 14s fit pretty good, I usually always have to take in the waist about 1/2 inch. What's the worst that could happen, I miss them up and have scraps. I want wear them like they are now, cause it bugs the day lights out of me lol. I will let you know how it goes when I get to them. I am planning my Mother's 80th bday Sat. The next 2 days are gonna be busy. Thank you so much for your help! Love love your channel!! Have a blessed week!
I had a brain wave! I know this is beginner class and all. How about making a tailor's ham. It just a pillow, but fill it with scraps of fabrics. Then new sewest the right tools for their sewing for all upcycling makes.

Thank you!! I’m always nervous about showing mistakes because I don’t want to confuse anyone.

🎉🎉🎉 My first sewing project was a tote. And you used Jill, my Missy's cousin. The gathering stitch...I got it now.
Yayyy, I'm so glad! Yes, Jill is a great sewing machine.
You are such a patient and kind teacher. Xo
Thank you!!
I feel like I could mix this tutorial with any of the ones by Don Kim & have a fantastic tote!
Made this bag for my little sister and she loved it! Thank you ❤
Yayyy!!
Ms. A, THANK YOU! I will be able to practice AND complete my bag. It’s super cute!
Super cute and ready to style!!!

I can’t wait to make this! I’m getting a sewing machine later this month. 🙌🏽
You are going to love it! 🎉
I love this. That bag is so cute. ❤
Cute, thank you! I would love to see you show us how to make a poof.
Very cute! Tunics are a good beginner project. Use a t shirt for the pattern cut and straight stitches all around.

I’m so sorry I can’t visualize why this could be happening unless they’re too tight in the thigh area. Could that be it?

Hi! I was wondering if you or any folks here could help me understand what the mistake was? I’m not understanding what happened there 😅
