So I paid X amount of money to learn this for a few months, whereas I pay X amount of money for electricity, wifi, and a laptop, to learn this in a few days.... WONDERFUL. Thank you for this series. You're so underrated. Being a grateful beginner, I'd recommend your series to others for sure.
This is the video that changed the game for me with this program. Holy moly mama mia. It feels like I have an orchestra in my computer at my fingertips now! These videos are a true gift. Thank you.
OMG This is what i'm looking for since a couple of days. I've been really disappointed not to find any solutions. Then i started to watch your tutorials one after one, and i just got it! :) I cannot say it in words how happy i am right now, thanks! I will definitely keep going on and watch as many tutorials, as i can! Nice work! Thanks a lot!
I discovered that you can reset a knob to default position by clicking on it with the wheel-button. It comes in VERY handy when you turn a knob to test how something sounds and then wanna go back to the original setting. No more carefully trying to adjust the pan back to 0%. One click and done!
Not sure if you get to it by the end of the series, but you don't need to manually delete those tracks. You can also click on "New Project from Template" right next to the "New Project" button, and choose the template empty. If you haven't done anything in the default project, you won't even have to confirm the discard.
Thanks for sharing! I do cover this in a later video, but I did not know it at the time of making this video, or I would have done it sooner. Great tip!
Actually, the knob you see next to the pitch? If you increase that, it increases the range of the pitch, so you can increase the pitch to stupidly high ranges. Pretty sure it’s gonna effect the length tho
Oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS TUTORIAL IS ALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Can some one please explain to me the base note? That little square above the keyboard in the Audio File Processor settings. This might be a silly question but how does moving that square affect the audio?
Hi, when I use it to play songs acapellas, I make a note as long as my vocal duration. The problem is that I can play vocals just from the beginning of the note and I can' t start hearing the song from the middle... I need help
You put "FL Studios" instead of "FL Studio" in your description. I think some of your other videos also have this minor error in their description. Thank you for making quality content. 😀
@@TJFREE, you're welcome. I've wanted to get into this sort of thing for ages but FL Studio, Cubase, and GarageBand are too expensive or require other expensive hardware first, in the case of the latter. Thank you for making tutorials for free software and encouraging its use. I'm sorry if I annoy you by saying this, but have you tried GNU+Linux (often called Linux)? I see your PC has lots of applications that will work perfectly on PureOS, for example.
@Gabriel Williams, Yes, I love and use Linux, lately SolusOS and Mint. I'll have to look into PureOS. In fact, I installed Windows specifically for these tutorials since I thought it would help the viewers feel more comfortable...
@@TJFREE, don't worry, it will probably make most people feel comfortable (you've probably already seen your viewer base's platforms on the TH-cam analytics). I'm just part of the 5% of the desktop OS market space that uses GNU+Linux. Well since I only use free software on my PC, I'm probably part of something more like 0.05%! Anyway, it's good to hear that you use GNU+Linux. Thank you again for making, and updating and maintaining high quality content. Have a good day! 😁 PS If I dare suggest it, why not make a video about GNU+Linux? It could be a good experiment to see how many viewers watch and want to learn about it and how to use other software like LMMS on it. Sorry if I'm being too rude.
That's a good questions. I honestly don't know, and haven't been able to find any detail about it in the documentation. I'll keep you posted if I find out more.
I tried with a subbass sample and it seems like to somehow.. "sorting out the sounds" It has some impact on the CPU though, but I'm still not sure what it does.
This is amazing thank you ! So I wonder in the piano roll editor, if you want to cut the beginning of the note , how do I go about it ? I can only stretch and cut on the right side ?
you can hover anywhere on the note other than the highlighted end part. Then you will see the cursor turn into a move tool (Like a plus with all the ends as arrows) then you can move the note forward or backward then shorten it from the end. Or if you you want the note to play a little bit after you have the note in the roll, you can left click on your instrument in the song editor and then go to the second tab (📉) and enable the envelope and add some pre-delay. (Warning: this applies to all the notes, whereas the first solution applies only to the selected note). Enjoy
Hello, the BPM affects the tempo of the song as a whole, increasing the BPM makes the whole song faster, and reducing the BPM makes the whole song slower. To make a bass line or particular instrument track sound slower, you have to adjust the length of notes on that track( it would be easier to achieve on the piano roll). So if you are playing eighth notes on the "fast" track, you can play half notes or whole notes on the bass track. A whole note would be as long as one full bar on the piano roll grid ( by default one full bar has 4 subdivisions, each of which has 4 further subdivisions, these can be changed of course based on the time signature, and quantization value in the piano roll.
hopefully someone can help, im making a song, i have a 13s melody that i want to loop just as a wav file, how can i put this into the basslinbe editor if its longer than the beats
I noticed that these samples sound terrible sometimes when you play them because they stop abruptly in the middle of the sound, but I guess I'm getting ahead of myself.
Hi, anyone knows how to record without a tempo? i don't want to follow a tempo. Perhaps it's not the right software for my intentions? Can anyone help me with this? thanks!!
The piano sound seems not accurate. First of all, the original piano .ogg soundwave is is not recorded in C note, I have to adjust the pitch manually (by trial and error). Second, even I finished the adjustment, the scale doesn't sounds right, I can't tell but it kind of weird, compare to not making any adjustment at all. Don't know why.
Strange that with the audio file processor, when you change the pitch, the velocity is changed as well. In my opinion that should not be the case. With the piano, it would make the duration of a low note very long and a high note very short. Also with the voice, one would like to change the pitch, not the velocity.
Good question. It would save space to use ogg, but also compromise a little on quality. ogg can be better compared with mp3, both are (usually) lossy and space efficient, but ogg is a free & open source format and mp3 is not.
Dude, you're SOO underrated, like for what you are showing us, you deserve much more love.
Thank you!

Amazing clarity in the tutorials. Thank you very much!
Thanks a lot mate, never did i think i would need to use LMMS so much, your tuts are really on point and thorough. Kudos ma man!!
Instantly went looking for the Wololo sound in the files of AoE 2.
AoE 2
wolololooooooooooo
*Immediately gets the Japanese "YOOOOooooo" sound effect*
How do you play the audio file on the piano roll without making it slow down or speed up? I want it to stay the same but have only the pitch change
c5 - b major note (i dont know music theory well, maybe this could help
I was wondering the same thing...
Am pitch shifter can be used for this if u use it correctly
my music i download is perfect at a4

Thank you for this series, btw. I'm just getting into making music on the PC and it's really helpful how thorough you are being with everything.
I had way too much fun with this option, haha.
OMG that high pitched "hello" sounds so much like Worms Armageddon 🤣🤣🤣
Wielkie dzięki za fajne objaśnienie!!!
I have an audio of 00:25 but it only plays like 2 secs of it, how can I made it play the whole audio?
But how to work around the problem of pitch affecting the note length/duration then?
5:55 he quickly showed it as one of the options. The range of the pitch is limited though.
Actually, the knob you see next to the pitch? If you increase that, it increases the range of the pitch, so you can increase the pitch to stupidly high ranges. Pretty sure it’s gonna effect the length tho

Can i get any audio file into this Audio File Processor? Like mp3?
Yeah Bro tell

Any word when External Audio Recording will be available?
the pitch and the speed also changes is there a way to prevent happening ?

Is there any way to make it so that your voice doesn't sound like a chipmunk when you go higher or like a slow motion voice when you go lower?
I came here to ask that too
You just helped me make a tag for my beats.
What lesson video helps understand how to lay out a beat? I made my chords but I am having issues laying out the beat
One thing i dont understand is how to put the audio file processor in base editor of piano or etcetera
awesome thanks for the information.
hopefully someone can help, im making a song, i have a 13s melody that i want to loop just as a wav file, how can i put this into the basslinbe editor if its longer than the beats
How to connect audio interface?
Bro can you tell me another vst like this?
I noticed that these samples sound terrible sometimes when you play them because they stop abruptly in the middle of the sound, but I guess I'm getting ahead of myself.

How do I make the sound waves land on zero nodes?
Would it save more space to export sound samples as ogg not wav, and it still has about the same quality?
Good question. It would save space to use ogg, but also compromise a little on quality. ogg can be better compared with mp3, both are (usually) lossy and space efficient, but ogg is a free & open source format and mp3 is not.
can i get a 7:44
7:44
I made a wav file and then tried playing it in lmms but nothing happened
i just had to save it to my desktop not any other files.
Is this the newest version? I have 1.1.3
Yes, it was the latest beta version at the time, 1.2.x I think.
Which theme is this?
Its the default theme for the latest development version of LMMS.
🔥
bitch you're a genius! i can't get my ass to do ONE software right
Tq sir
4:30 Triggered by how you have to press an A key to play a C note
had the time of my life putting a stupid audio in there and raising the pitch bit by bit

Yo, undertale fan.
I instantally put the bruh sound effect in and made a song out of bruh sound effects
