As always …. Another great tutorial… watching, listening and learning . Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect . Particularly interesting to watch you expertly sketch that tree!🤗
I'm loving your nature journaling... I'll probably give it a try with my own plants in my balcony's sight ❤ Also I love your coments and indications while painting 🎉
As always, I enjoy your nature journaling very much. I looked over at Laura B's channel and my goodness, she's got a gift. Thanks for sharing all of these good things.
Lovely book on flora. Another suggestion for the used bookstore is to look for a field guide of your particular region. Thank you, Diane and Tamsin. I will have to go back to my fantastical tree and add some horizontal lines to the trunk. Very instructive. ❤🙏
Btw...enjoyed your nature book contributions in this video too! I've repeated that same rhyme your father did, still do, and think myself quite bright for saying "riz! Lol. Fun days with you, Diane..
Thank you for this sketch of one of your trees. My local park has so many trees I must practice more lol! I was at a used book shop in another U.S. state and they had loads of nature and garden books. I purchased three. Birds, butterflies and a travel book about Tuscany, Italy. So fun!
Like? I love this video 📹! I want to do a Sketch book myself. For my area. I think it would be lovely. All the different plants that are in Florida! Wow could you imagine! Even we have different tulps that grow here. I already painted this plant. Native plants are so pretty. Have a good rest of your evening. JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸
My favorite Poem by Tennyson is The Lady of Shalott. It definitely stims from my love of Anne of Green Gables\Avonlea. I remember when I was a tiny little girl a family friend game my mother the 1985 adaption with Megan Follows, I was around 3 when it came out, and I have loved it ever sense. When my husband and I were married back in 2000 he got me the complete book set.
Hello to the fur people. Lovely introduction. I’m always pleased to see Arthur as we watched him grow up. Loving your nature journaling. Also I just went to check out Laura B. Indeed she is talented. Thank you, Diane for being you, Susan
Thank you so much Diane, I have throughly enjoyed this video and managed to watch it to the end this time without interruptions! I would love watching you paint and your tree is perfect by the way. Take care and keep adding to your nature journal. Sandy 🌸 a Pom living in Australia..
Ohh, I have one of Marjorie Blamey's books, Flowers of the Countryside. It was a gift to someone dated 1982. I think it was thru e-bay. There was one at Costco last year and Tamsin said you already had it...can't remember the name. Love your oak painting. So much fun looking for nature sayings. They are all around! xoxoxo
Yes. It was by e.e. cummings. There was an other line which emphasised a New York accent. "The little boid is on da wing. But dat's absoid./ Da little wing is on da boid." An American publisher perhaps? Perhaps our Transatlantic friends can clarify.
I just love this poem! Omg! And what a beautiful and talented artist you are. Thanks for a wonderful entry for a watercolor journal and thank you Diane. Much love 😊❤
I still can recite a few poems my 4th grade teacher taught us. Every month she wrote a poem on a side board and we had to copy them and we got extra credit if we memorized them…l thank her for that!
Especially love the sage and its stages. Our sage is in the bud stage right now. Will you be posting the youtube channel you mentioned? (Laura from Italy who creates art journals). Thanks, as always for the inspiration Diane.
Hey Diane, thankyou for another great video. I managed to get the book you mentioned on ebay, quite a few for sale on there if anyone else is looking for one x
The Vivia sketchbook paper is quite different than anything else I have tried. Pencil does not erase well, and the paper seems to have a sheen after erasing.
Talent is far less important than passion. Find some passion for painting or what-have-you, and it will, over time, bring something even better- Skill!
Don't sell your self short. I felt the same when I did a wonderful watercolour course with Lindsey at The Postman's Knock... I even painted a portrait 😮🎉 And I've learnt sooo much from Diane.... Thank you Diane 🙏💖
I love all your pets!
The best episode because we got to see your animals. 🥰 I also love your so-called “rambling”. It makes me feel like I’m not alone.
I’m so glad it comforts you Stella, sending love xxx
Oh my, her paintings are breathtaking! By the way, your rambling is an antidote to loneliness.
As always …. Another great tutorial… watching, listening and learning . Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect . Particularly interesting to watch you expertly sketch that tree!🤗
Thanks Viv, many years of practice and still not confident … I’ll keep trying!
I really like your drawing style - that tree is great!
Thank you so much 😀
Ohhh I love that book. Lucky find.
I'm loving your nature journaling... I'll probably give it a try with my own plants in my balcony's sight ❤

Thanks so much Isabel x

She has, hasn’t she, and so modest!
This journal is really beautiful!
I loved seeing your fur “family!”
Thanks for the link to everything, Diane. I'm looking forward to Laura B's flip-through. Looks lovely.
She’s fresh air! Shame she doesn’t do more!

Go for it! I’m sure a Floridian nature journal would be spectacular!

I watch Laura B handmade too ❤
I think I need to start a journal! 😊❤
It will be the most therapeutic thing you can do for yourself. Trust me❤

Yes, Flowers of the Countryside is a lovely book with lots of information in it. I could read it every day!
Ebay has a couple of these books for sale, but the shipping is more than the book! I'm going to keep my eye out for it. It looks lovely.
Yes, that’s always a bit of a drawback with EBay. Hope you find one soon at a good price x
Love the oak tree, looking forward to trying that ☺️
Oh my goodness, I’ve heard my elder sister, shes 84, recite that poem. Back in her day in school, they had to memorize poems in school.

Love this tutorial Diane. I have Marjorie Blamey, painting flowers book. I picked up in a charity shop for £1.00. It's a beautiful book. X
Oh wow! That’s a bargain!
I still can recite a few poems my 4th grade teacher taught us. Every month she wrote a poem on a side board and we had to copy them and we got extra credit if we memorized them…l thank her for that!
Yes, that’s such a valuable skill. I envy those who have it (just a little bit!)
I love the tree drawing. This was so inspiring. Thanks Diane you always encourage me❤️
You are so welcome❤️
Hello. I'd love you to do a video on mixing paint colors in your round white palette. I seem to always use them straight from the pan or tube.
I’ll try to do that soon Libby x
The sage page looks beautiful💜
Magnifique ce sketchbook nature ! J adore la couverture . Bises a bientot mon amie
Very Excellent Art, Thanks for sharing.👍👍👌👌🌹🌹💯💯

Should be there now!
Beautiful! Can you give more info for Laura B?
Found her! Thanks!

Hope you enjoy it! That’s great to know!
The Vivia sketchbook paper is quite different than anything else I have tried. Pencil does not erase well, and the paper seems to have a sheen after erasing.
So beautiful and so inspiring to me! The problem is I have no talent and my paintings always look like a child made them, haha
That’s your mindset because I have seen kids doing pretty cool stuff. Keep doing it! You’ll find your own style by only practicing
